It’s Monday…AGAIN!  And DANG…it’s NOT a holiday!  That’s okay…it’s time for another inspiration challenge from Create with Connie and Mary!

When I saw the inspiration piece for this week, I couldn’t wait to use my new set…Flying Home!  I thought this image really went along with the image.  Check out the inspiration photo and Connie’s card here.

Here’s the details…

  • Whisper White – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Whisper White – 3 3/4 x 5, run the top portion through the Garden Trellis Embossing Folder, stamp greeting using Memento Black, add panel to card front
  • Tutti Frutti dsp – 1 1/2 x 5 1/2, add to card front
  • Basic Black – 1/4 x 5 1/2, add to card front
  • Whisper White – Stamp image using Memento Black, color using Stampin’ Blends, cut out using Layering Ovals and add using dimensionals

Valentines

Happy Saturday everyone!  It’s time again for this talented group of ladies to ‘show you what they got’ with VALENTINES!  Looking forward to seeing what everyone does!

Here’s the details…

  • Powder Pink – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Whisper White – 3 5/8 x 4 1/4, stamp heart using Versamark and gold emboss
  • Rich Razzleberry – 1/2 x 4 1/4, add behind of top of panel
  • Rich Razzleberry – punch using ribbon border punch, add behind bottom of panel, add panel to card front
  • Whisper White – stamp hear using Melon Mambo, cut out and add using dimensionals
  • Whisper White – stamp banner using Rich Razzleberry, cut our and add to card front using dimensionals

This sure is a simple card but really shows off this set!  And speaking of showing off…

Picture Perfect Birthday

A happy Thursday to one and all!  Oh thank goodness we are almost to the end of the week!  No really…it might have been a short one but dang…I’m EXHAUSTED!

This week we have a fun color inspiration for you and I have to say…this one was a bit of a ‘head scratcher’ for me!  I decided to go with birthday (since that set was sitting on top of my desk for my project for the Connie and Mary Collection this time) and it worked!  Our colors this time were Old Olive, Calypso Coral and Marina Mist (a color I pretty much NEVER use!)

Here’s the details…

  • Calypso Coral – 5 1/2 x 11 folded
  • Whisper White – 3 3/4 x 5, layer onto Basic Black 3 7/8 x 5 1/8, add to card front
  • Using your Stitched Circles, cut out and open larger and closed smaller (HINT: do them at the same time) from Calypso Coral, Old Olive and Marina Mist.  Add to card front
  • Gold Foil – 1/8 x 5 1/2, add to card front
  • Whisper White – cut out Stitched Circle, add to card front using dimensionals
  • Whisper White – stamp candles in Old Olive, Calypso Coral and Marina Mist, fringy thing in Memento Black and Flame in Crushed Curry, cut out and add to card front using dimensionals
  • Calypso Coral – stamp greeting in Memento Black, punch out with the Classic Label punch, add to card front
  • Add some Gold Enamel Metallic Stars to finish off

Epic Celebrations

Are you all enjoying Sale-a-bration?  I am!  I am really LOVIN’ the products that are available.

The theme this time for the SUO challenge is to make a monochromatic card.  At first I was going to use the set Heartfelt Blooms because it really is PERFECT for a monochromatic card but then thought…”oh that’s too easy” so I decided to use the SAB set Epic Celebrations.  What fun set and LOVE how it turned out in Flirty Flamingo!

Here’s the details…

  • Flirty Flamingo – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Whisper White – 3 5/8 x 4 5/8, fold a piece of Flirty Flamingo Striped ribbon and add to back then add to card front on an angle using dimensionals
  • Flirty Flamingo – 3 1/2 x 4 1/2, stamp shoes in Flirty Flamingo, tap with embossing buddy, then stamp shoes using Versamark and white emboss.  Next color in some parts of the shoes using Flirty Flamingo marker
  • Whisper White – 3/4 x 2 1/2, stamp greeting using Flirty Flamingo, cut into a banner and add to card front using dimensionals.

Picture Perfect Birthday

Oh…it’s Monday again.  And not only is it time for another Inspiration Monday…it’s a day off!  WOOO HOOO!!!  I am going to get caught up on my grading!

We have an AWESOME inspiration piece over on Create with Connie and Mary, so makes sure you head over there to see it and check out what Connie did too!

Since we have JUST RELEASED out newest collection using Picture Perfect Birthday I thought I’d use the same set for my card today.  Oh…this collection is sooooo awesome – there’s 3 cards (one’s a fun fancy fold) and an awesome 3D project.  Here’s a sneak peek…

So….here’s the details for my card today…

  • Peek-a-boo Peach – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Whisper White – 3 5/8 x 4 7/8, stamp greeting using Memento Black, layer onto Basic Black 3 3/4 x 5, add three pieces of Ribbon – Lemon Lime Twist Classic Weave, Crushed Curry Stitched Satin, ad Peek-a-boo Peach striped and staple onto panel, add to card front using dimensionals
  • Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie – cut frames using Stitched Square Framelits and Layered Squares, add to card front using dimensionals
  • Stamp two bows with each of these colors:  Lemon Lime Twist/Old Olive, Daffodil Delight/Crushed Curry, Peek-a-boo Peach/Pumpkin Pie, add to card front
  • Use some of the Tutti Frutti Adhesive Backed Sequins to finish it off.

Favorite New DSP

Happy Saturday!  I LOVE the weekend just because I only have to spend half of every day grading (LOL!!!) but we have our fun Create wit Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  I always look forward to see what the others have done with the theme and our this time is our favorite Occasions Mini dsp and for me I knew EXACTLY what I would use…Painted with Love dsp!

Don’t you just LOVE that dsp?  I know I do.  Those gold foil accents are just PERFECT!  Here’s the details…

  • Powder Pink – 5 1/2 x 81/2 folded
  • Powder Pink – 4 x 5 1/4, stamper greeting using Versamark and gold emboss, run through the Scattered Sequin Embossing  Folder, add to card front
  • Painted with Love dsp (Striped print – 1 1/4 x 5 1/4
  • Melon Mambo – punch out a Decorative Ribbon Border, add behind the dsp and add to card front
  • Stamp butterfly on piece of the dsp using Versamark, gold emboss, cut out, loop piece of Gold Mini Tinsel and add to card front to finish off.

Perfect Peacock

Welcome to Thursday and what a fun sketch inspiration we have for you this week!

When I sat down to work on it I had the ‘stuff’ for the peacock cut out and sitting on top of my desk and I decided I could easily make it work for it.  I love when I can just use ‘experiments’ and finish up a card I need!

Here’s the details…

  • Bermuda Bay- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Bermuda Bay – 4 x 5 1/4, run through Scattered Sequin Embossing Folder and add to card front
  • Lemon Lime Twist – 1 1/2 x 4 1/4, add to card front
  • Eastern Palace dsp – 1 1/4 x 4 1/4, add to card front
  • Gold Foil – 1/4 x 5, add to card front
  • Whisper White – stamp back ‘fan’ in Bermuda Bay, ‘feathers’ in Lemon Lime Twist and Night of Navy and peacock body in Pacific Point; cut everything out, and add to card front
  • Lemon Lime Twist – cut out small scallop circle from the Layered Circle Framelits
  • Whisper White – stamp greeting Versamark and gold emboss, punch out with 1″ Circle Punch, add to scallop circle and add to card front using dimensionals
  • Add some Gold Enamel Dots to finish off!
