Birthday Blooms

Happy Tuesday everyone!  This is going to be short and sweet…still fighting the pneumonia…not much energy for anything.

It’s time for another SUO challenge and this time our theme is a favorite sentiment.  There are so many from which to choose but I decided to go with this one “Dear Friend”.  Okay…I will confess, I do really like this greeting but with being so under the weather, this was also a card I already had done.  This was a card I made when I first got my blends.

Here’s the details…

  • Pink Pirouette – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Pink Pirouette – 3 3/4 x 5, run bottom part through the Softly Falling Embossing Folder and stamp the top part with the little dots in Pink Pirouette, add to card front

I decided to keep pretty close to the original sample.  I think maybe the card was not a 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 size…maybe a little smaller so I added an extra layer.  I also switched the set to Hedgehugs.

Yes…it is this set AGAIN!  What can I say…I LOVE holly and of all the holly images SU has offered over the years, you really can’t beat this one!

The SUO challenge this time was celebrate any winter holiday.  So I went with Christmas (shocker) and a nice generic celebrate the season greeting.

We made this in my craft group last week and it is one of those nice and easy cards!

Here’s the details…

  • Whisper White – 3 5/8 x 4 7/8, add to card front
  • Add Silver Foil Snowflake to card front
  • Be Merry Dsp  – 1 x 4, add to card front
  • Whisper White – stamp greeting using Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green, cut out using layering oval
  • Garden Green – cut out matching scallop oval, add stamped oval and add to card front using dimensionals
  • Whisper White – stamp holly in Garden Green and button in Cherry Cobbler, cut out, layer and add to card front to finish off.

See…nice and easy!  Hmm….maybe I should make a couple more.  I think this is the perfect card to send to my new neighbors.
