Christmas Treat

And it’s Saturday again! We are still having so much fun with the new Holiday Mini! This week we are sharing a Christmas treat or favor!

Here’s the details…

  • Real Red – cut out TWO of the Perfect Parcel dies and put together
  • Let it Snow DSP – 2 x 7 1/2, wrap around box
  • Whisper White – stamp dotted mug in Coastal Cabana and striped mug in Real Red, cut out both.
  • Red Glitter – punch out 1/4″ dots, add randomly to mug
  • Whisper White – cut out solid candy cane
  • Real Red – cut out striped candy cane, add to white base, add behind dotted mug, layer the two mugs together, add to wrap using dimensionals
  • Whisper White – cut out tag, stamp greeting using Memento Black, add to mug using dimensionals
  • Whisper white – stamp holly twice, color, cut out add one to candy can and one to tag
  • Coastal Cabana – cut out bow, add to tag, add red rhinestone to center of bow to finish off.

This is the first time I’ve used this die…it makes a good size treat holder that you could quite a few treats in!

Halloween Favor

And it’s Saturday again and ALMOST Halloween!  This week our theme is to make a Halloween treat or favor.  I decided to have a little fun with the Harvest Hello set…

Here’s the details…

  • Pumpkin Pie – stamp two of the pumpkin images using Memento Black, add face to one of the two, punch out
  • Crumb Cake – stamp stem in Memento Black cut or punch out
  • Old Olive – stamp 2 of the pumpkin leaves in Memento Black, cut out
  • Whisper White – stamp greeting using Memento Black, punch out using Classic Label punch

Next…

  • Pumpkin Pie – cut piece 1  1/2 x 5, score 3/8 in on each side and notch…it should look like this

  • Now add glue to the notch and add first to one pumpkin and then add the other on top.  Here is is add to the first one…

  • Once both sides are done ad a strip of Old Olive 3/8 x 5 1/2 as a handle and finish decorating the front!

Easter Favor

Can you believe…it’s APRIL!  YAHOO!!!  I always feel like once we make it to April we have a good chance of only having to deal with one more snow!  Would be nice if we didn’t have to have one more but it always seems like there will be.  I can’t believe how late Easter is this year!  So in honor of the upcoming holiday our theme is Easter Favors!

Okay…I’ll have to admit, things were so insane at work this week I sort of forgot I still had to do this one…so be prepared it is QUICK AND EASY!

I forgot all about these simple baskets until I was trying to find something I could do REALLY FAST!  Oh…and before I forget…it you are looking for AWESOME treat boxes using Best Bunny and the great Twinkle Twinkle DSP…check out our collection!  You could easily substitute other sets and paper – the ideas are AWESOME!

Best Bunny Treat Box Collection!

Okay…here’s the details for today’s project…

  • Twinkle Twinkle DSP – 4 1/2 x 4 1/2, score at 1 1/2 on each of the 4 sides, snip along the score lines on each side so you can fold into basket.
  • Twinkle Twinkle DSP – 3/4 x 10, add to inside of basket to form the handle
  • Twinkle Twinkle DSP – cut out oval, layer onto Night of Navy matching scallop oval, wrap White Linen Ribbon behind oval and add to front of basket
  • Whisper White – stamp bunny using Memento Black, color using Smoky Slate and Petal Pink, punch out and put together, stamp present using Memento Black, color using Pool Party and Petal Pink, cut out and add to bunny, add bunny to front of basket to finish off

The great thing about this simple design is that you can use it for so many occasions

Valentine Favor

Happy Saturday! We have made it through the Polar Vortez and now for the GREAT THAW!!  DANG…it was COLD!  But now for our warming trend – LOL!!!  And to warm you up today our theme for this week’s Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop is Valentine Favors.  I’ve been wanting to make one of these for a while and was surprized at just how easy it was.  If you want directions for this just Google Self-Closing Treat Box.

Isn’t this little skunk just ‘stinkin’ sweet’?  I think so.  (And if you want more GREAT treat box ideas with this set check out our Hey Love Treat Box collection – you can still purchase the .pdf!)

Here’s some general details…

  • Crumb Cake – I used a piece 4 3/4 x 6 1/2 (like I said above just Google self-closing treat box and you will get directions for scoring) then put together
  • All My Love DSP – TWO pieces 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 again cut per directions you find in your search and add to your treat box
  • Stamp Hey Valentine on top using Memento Black ink
  • Whisper White – stamp skunk using Memento Black, color using Smoky Slate, Flirty Flamingo and Real Red Blends, cut out with layering circle, layer onto matching Lovely Lipstick matching Scallop Circle.
  • Wrap some Black/Silver ribbon behind circles then add to box front
  • Lovely Lipstick – 1/2 x 1 1/2, stamp greeting using Memento Black, cut into banner, add to circle.
  • Tie a little bow using Lovely Lipstick 1/8″ grosgrain ribbon and add to top of box to finish off

Is this just cute or what!

Christmas Favor

Happy December 1st everyone!  It’s time for another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop. This week we are featuring Christmas Favors or small Christmas Gifts…I guess mine is a little of both. Although it is difficult to tell from this picture, this is a hot chocolate packet holder…it is a very quick and EASY favor or gift!

Here’s some general details…

  • Poppy Parade – 3 3/4 x 11, fold in half, round the corners and stamp the snowflakes in Poppy Parade
  • Santa’s Workshop red/green bow print – 2 1/2 x 8 1/2, put packet of hot chocolate in the piece of folded Poppy Parade, then wrap the dp around it.
  • Garden Green Stitched Satin Ribbon – okay…we used to sell this so you might have some in your stash – I had mine leftover from the Sincerely Santa Project Kit, wrap around the holder, tie in a half knot, add full size candy cane, then another half knot and bow to finish off
  • Garden Green – 1/2 x 2 1/2, stamp greeting using Versamark, white emboss, cut in to a banner, add to wrapper front under bow.

I just LOVE simple projects!

And guess what…these still time for our final Holiday Mini collection…

Christmas is just around the corner and Create with Connie and Mary has almost come to the end of the Collections from the Stampin’ Up! 2018 Holiday Mini! Don’t Box Me In

WOW…April is almost over!  And we definitely had some April Showers…but then some of those ‘showers’ can as snow…LOL!!!  I’m happy though that May is right around the corner…NEW STUFF!  This week our theme is “Don’t Box Me In” a small treat box.

I was cleaning my craft room the other day and found my small 2 x 2 x 2 clear acrylic treat box and thought it would be perfect for today’s challenge.  Again…I kept things nice and simple using dsp and Dapper Denim that will be retiring.

Is that nice and simple?  Here’s the details…

  • Clear Acrylic Box
  • Eastern Palace dsp – 1 3/4 x 8 1/2, wrap around box – I notched out by the top front panel with a 3/4″ circle punch.
  • Dapper Denim – cut out flower, add piece of ombre Lemon Lime Twist ribbon behind flower and add to box front using dimensionals
  • Eastern Palace dsp – punch out 3/4″ circle, add to center of flower using dimensionals
  • Very Vanilla – stamp greeting using Dapper Denim, punch out with Classic Label Punch – punching twice to make it smaller, add to box front
  • Eastern Palace dsp – 1 3/4 x 1 3/4, layer onto Dapper Denim 1 7/8 x 1 7/8, add to top of box to finish off.

Hippity Hoppity Easter Favor

It’s Saturday again!  And you know that means another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop.  Our theme this week is hippity hoppity Easter favor.  For some reason whenever I think of an Easter favor I think the old standby – Sour Cream Container!

Here’s the details…

  • Picture Perfect Party dsp – 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, make into Sour Cream container (you can find tons of instructions online – just Google it)
  • Whisper White – stamp bunny from the We Must Celebrate set in Memento Black, color with Smoky Slate (dark and light Blends and Pink Pirouette (dark) Blends, cut out with Layering Oval, layer onto matching Bermuda Bay Layering Scallop Oval
  • Peek-a-boo Peach – stamp greeting using Memento Black, punch out using Classic Label Punch add to oval using dimensionals
  • Picture Perfect Party dsp (Lemon Lime Twist print) – 1 3/4 x 3 1/4, cut into a banner, punch 1/4 hole through top of tag and top of sour cream contain and add Bermuda Bay Mini Chevron Ribbon to attach tag to container.
