Borders or Tags

And it’s Saturday again! This week our theme for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Hop is to use the new borders or tags dies on our cards.  Oh…this was an easy one…out with my favorite set…

Here’s the details…

  • Balmy Blue – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded, stamp the the swirly image in Balmy Blue
  • Basic White – stamp sun using Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Polished Pink, Memento Black, cut out using Layer Circle Die
  • Basic White – cut out two of the pieces using the cloud Basic Border die, add the sun to the larger one and add the small one to the larger one using dimensionals
  • Tie a piece of Polished Pink ribbon around the panel then add to card front
  • Daffodil Delight – stamp greeting using Memento Black, cut out using scallop topped Tailor Made Tag, add to card front
  • Add some Opal Rounds to finish off

Glitz & Glam

And it’s Saturday again! This week our theme for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Hop is to use bright, shiny and sparkly things on our cards..ooooo…THAT was an easy one!

Here’s the details…

  • Pear Pizzazz – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Expressions in Ink DSP (green abstract/gold print) – 4 x 5 1/4, add to card front
  • Gold Metallic Specialty paper – cut out large detailed leaf , add to card front
  • Pear Pizzazz – stamp greeting in Versamark, gold emboss, cut out using tag die, add to card front using dimensionals
  • Gold Shimmer Ribbon – tie into small bow, add to tag
  • Add some Gilded Gems to finish off the glam!

Textures & Ribbon

And it’s Saturday again! This week our theme for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Hop is to use textures and ribbons on our cards.

I love adding texture and had a lot of fun with this one.  Here’s the details…

  • Fresh Freesia – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Fresh Freesia – 4 x 5 1/4, run through the Bark Embossing Folder, sponge edges in Fresh Freesia and add to card front
  • Mint Macaron – cut out Stitched Scalloped Contours dies, add to card front using dimensionals
  • Pansy Petals DSP – purple gingham – 1 3/4 x 4, add to card front
  • Garden Green – 1/4 x 4 1/4, add to card front
  • Basic White – 2 1/2 x 3 3/4, stamp flower in Memento Black, color in Highland Heather and Mint Macaron Blends, stamp greeting in Gorgeous Graph, add to card front
  • Fold piece of Highland Heather ribbon, staple and attach to card front using glue dot
  • Add Bee Trinket to card front to finish off

Favorite New Annual Catalog Set

And it’s Saturday again! This week our theme for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Hop is to use our favorite new annual catalog set or bundle.  Do you ever come across a set in the catalog that you absolutely MUST have and it really is just a silly little set and when you tell your friends that this is your MUST HAVE set, no body has even noticed it?  Well…that is what it is with my VERY FAVORITE new annual catalog set…I totally DORKED out over this one…

WHAT could be cuter than this!  Here’s the details…

  • Daffodil Delight – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Basic White – 3 1/8 x 4 3/4, stamp greeting in Polished Pink and Bermuda by, stamp squiggles in Daffodil Delight, 3 dots in Bermuda Bay and large dot in Polished Pink
  • Polished Pink – TWO strips 3/4 x 4 1/4, add one behind the top and one behind the bottom, add to card front
  • Basic White – stamp solid center in Daffodil Delight, rays in Crushed Curry and 3 lined image in Bermuda Bay, stamp face in Memento Black and cheeks in Polished Pink, cut out using Layering Circle die and add to card front using dimensionals

Now tell…how could you NOT love this little set!

Favorite Designer Series Paper

And it’s Saturday again! This week our theme for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Hop is to use our favorite new DSP – WOW…this was a tough one!  There are so many GORGEOUS ones…in the end I decided on this…

I absolutely LOVE this particular print and that touch of gold is PERFECT!!!  Here’s the details…

  • Pale Papaya – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Expressions in Ink DSP – green print – 1 1/4 x 4 3/4, Papaya flower print – 2 x 4 3/4, add to card front
  • Basic White – cut out tag from Tailored Made Tags, add to card front using dimensionals
  • Basic White – stamp flower in Pale Papaya, center in Versamark and Gold emboss, leaves in Pear Pizzazz, cut everything out, layer along with two pieces from the Ephemera Pack, add to card front
  • Pear Pizzazz – 5/8 x 1 3/4, stamp greeting in Early Espresso, cut into slants on both ends, add to card front using dimensionals
  • Tie a bow in the gold Simply Elegant Trim, add to end of tag to finish off

Use ALL the Incolors

And it’s Saturday again! This week our theme for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Hop is to use all of the new incolors in one card!  The perfect set (and paper) for this was the pansies…

Here’s the details…

  • Pale Papaya – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Basic White – 3 3/4 x 5, add to card front
  • Pansy Petal DSP (coral/yellow dotted print) – 3 3/4 x 3 3/4, cut square on the diagonal and add triangle to card front
  • Basic White – stamp large more solid pansy in STAMPED OFF Fresh Freesia, Positively Pink and Pale Papaya then stamp the detailed large pansy in full strength Fresh Freesia, Positively Pink and Pale Papaya,, add the inside part with Smoky Slate and the dot in the middle with Basic Grey; stamp both solid leaves three times in Soft Succulents and leaf detail in Evening Evergreen, cut everything out, later and add to card front
  • Pansy Petal DSP – (green stripe) – 1 1/4 x 1 1/2, cut into banner, add to card front
  • Pansy Petal DSP – (flower print) – 1 x 1 1/4, cut into banner, add to card front
  • Fresh Freesia – 3/8 x 1 3/4, stamp just first part of greeting in Memento Black, cut each side on a slant, add to card front using imensionals
  • Tie small bow in Positively Pink ribbon, add to card front to finish off

Favorite New Incolor

And it’s Saturday again! This week our theme for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Hop is to use our favorite new incolor…this was a TOUGH one…I really like the colors!  I couldn’t decide between Fresh Freesia and Pale Papaya so when in doubt, go with purple!

Here’s the details…

  • Fresh Freesia – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Pansy Petal DSP (Freesia Gingham print) – 1 3/4 x 3 7/8, add to card front
  • Basic White – 3 7/8 x 4 1/4, use the Basic Borders to cut bottom, randomly stamp the dots from Beauty of Friendship set in Fresh Freesia and Hello in Memento Black, add to card front
  • Fresh Freesia – punch out 2 large and 2 medium daisies, layer everything and add to card front.
  • Basic White – punch out 1/2″ circle (retired), add to inside daisy, add some Fresh Freesia incolor jewels to center
  • Fresh Freesia Ribbon – tie small bow and add to card front to finish off

Favorite Preorder Bundle

And it’s Saturday again! This week our theme for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Hop is to use our favorite preorder bundle.  This was tough since there were several that I really like  but decided to go with the new Inspired Thoughts Bundle.

I just love all things trees…it’s right up there with dragonflies!  Here’s the details…

  • Balmy Blue – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Subtles DSP Paper Pack (Balmy Blue print- current not new) – 3 3/4 x 5, layer onto Basic White – 3 /8 x 5 1/8, add to card front
  • Just Jade – cut out 2 of the curved edge piece, add ONE to the panel
  • Soft Suede – cut out the line of tree – I only used the 3 on the left, add to card front
  • Cut out the 4 different ‘leaves’ dies in Shaded Spruce, Just Jade and Mint Macaron, add to card front some using dimensionals
  • Add a 1″ So saffron circle to card
  • Add the second Just Jade curve edge to the card front using dimensionals
  • So Saffron – 5/8 x 2 3/8, stamp greeting using Memento Black, cut into banner add to card front using dimensionals
  • Add some red Sequins for Every Season to finish off

Evergreen

And it’s Saturday again! This week our theme for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Hop is to use greens on our card.  I couldn’t wait use a new set of dies that I got…

Here’s the details…

  • Pear Pizzazz – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Basic White- 3 1/2 x 5 1/2, run through the Brick and Mortar Embossing Folder, add a 5/8 x 5 1/2 strip of Mossy Meadow behind the panel
  • Mossy Meadow – cut out the long stem, add to card front
  • Pear Pizzazz – cut out the full leaf stem, trim the bottom off some, add to card front
  • Soft Seafoam – cut out the tall carnation and the full flower, cut out a flower center from Mossy Meadow and add to flower, add long stem to card front
  • Basic White – stamp greeting in Mossy Meadow, cut out using label die, add flower behind die, add gold cord to each side, add to panel and add panel to card front using dimensionals
  • Add a bee trinket to finish off

  • Subtle DSP Paper Pack (Pool Party Print) – 3 3/4 x 4 3/4, add strip of Night of Navy – 1/2 x 3 1/2 to each side then add to card front
  • Basic White – 1 1/2 x 5 1/2, wrap piece of Playing with Patterns Night of Navy thin Ribbon around piece, add to card front
  • Night of Navy – stamp greeting in Versamark, white emboss, cut out with label die, add to card front using dimensionals
  • Basic White – stamp more solid flower in Pool Party, detail in Bermuda Bay and center in Night of Navy, cut out, layer and add to card front using dimensionals
  • Add some Playing with Pattern with Resin Dots to finish off
