Painted Harvest

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my friends in the US!  And to all of you who are going to participating in Black Friday tomorrow…good luck!  As you might remember, we moved in April to right by the Dayton Mall.  We have been warned by the neighbors that it gets a bit ‘ugly’ around here this time of year.  That’s okay…I don’t have to go that way!  LOL!!!

This week we have a really different color combo…it was a bit of a challenge for me to figure out a way to use those colors (Berry Burst, Bermuda Bay, and Old Olive) in a Thanksgiving kind of card.  When all else fails…use LEAVES!

Here’s the details…

  • Crumb Cake – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Crumb Cake – 4 x 5 1/4, run through the Layered Leaves embossing folder and add to card front
  • Foil Snowflake – add to card front – foild side down
  • Berry Burst, Bermuda Bay, Old Olive – cut out solid large leaf, detailed leaf and small leaf from each.  Add the detailed leaf to the large leaf, layer everything together and add to card front
  • Whisper White – 1/2 x 3, stamp greeting using Early Espresso, cut into banner on both ends  and add using dimensionals
  • Remove the backs from 3 Perfect White Accents and add to card front to finish off.

Make sure you head over to Create with Connie and Mary and see what our AMAZING design team did this week!

Tour de Freaks – Nov 2017

Welcome everyone to the November Tour de Freaks!  I am so glad that I finally have had some time to join the fun!  This month we are having fun with the Holiday Mini and celebrating Christmas.

If you are going forward through the hop you arrived here from the AMAZING Wendy Weixler.  LOVE her work!

I have a fun little project for you that I created using the Wishes All Aglow set, Merry Little Christmas dsp, notecards and a gold/white striped gift bag…a great little gift…perfect as a stocking stuffer.

I decorated the bag with an Old Olive banner, a Gold Foil banner, the greeting stamped and gold embossed, punched with the circle pun and layered onto Basic Black circle.  Added some Black Twine and mini gold sequin trim.  This is added to the bag with a gold clip.

Here’s the cards inside…

For each of the cared I stamped the image using Versamark and gold embossed.  I cut out the images using Circle/Oval Stitched framelits.  I used the the Merry Little Christmas dsp,Gold Foil  and Old Olive paper.  For the ho ho ho card, I cut out the individual lightbulbs then added some black twine for the ‘cord’. For the Jingle card, I stamp the little snowflake image on the notecard front and gold embossed.  Overall really easy cards to make

Here’s the whole set together…

Time to head on in the hop.  You are in for a real treat as you head on over to Cindy Elam’s blog.

Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!
