CCMC363bBoy…has this been a CRAZY week!  Connie and I have been super busy getting ready for our second Create with Connie and Mary LIVE event and WOW…do we have some super cool projects for our folks to make!  My friends who are going to be helpers came over to my house yesterday to make their projects so they will be able to help others…oh what fun!

This is also for the casology challenge – repeat!

Speaking of fun…we have a super fun and easy sketch for you for the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge this week.  I decided to go pretty simple on my card and do a masculine twist!

  • Whisper White – 3 7/8 x 3 7/8, stamp solid triangle in Night of Navy and Lost Lagoon, stamp diagonal striped triangle in Soft Suede.
  • Ink greeting with Night of Navy and Soft Suede, stamp on card front.
  • Layer onto Soft Suede 4 x 4 and add to card front using dimensionals.
  • Color some Perfect White Accents using a Navy Sharpie and add to card front on diagonal striped triangles.  Add white ones to the solid triangles.

Yep…it’s that quick and easy!

mnt1Okay…I have to tell you…I LOVE this card!  This was another make and take for a workshop I had back in April.  I wanted to use this set because although I’ve had it for awhile, I really haven’t used it all that much.  I also wanted to do a masculine card.

The funny thing about this card is I sat down to exactly copy a card I had seen on Pinterest (yes…I do spend WAAAAY too much time on there!) but for some strange reason it didn’t turn out AT ALL like the one I was going to copy!  LOL!!!  That does happen to me!

Here’s the details:

  • Pear Pizzazz  4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Smoky Slate – 3 5/8 x 4 7/8, stamp the Hardwood Background stamp in Basic Grey, sponge a bit with Smoky Slate, layer onto Basic Black 3 3/4 x 5, wrap Linen Thread around it then add to card front.
  • Whisper White largest Chalk Talk tag.  Stamp goose in StazOn Jet Black, mask it then stamp the grassy stuff behind it.  Color using Smoky Slate and Old Olive.
  • Use SAB Bitty Banner Punch – Old Olive and Basic Black, add behind tag then add to card front using dimensionals.
  • Tie some Linen Thread in Basic Metal Button (oh…I’m soooo glad these made it!) and add to card front using glue dot.
  • Stamp greeting using StazOn Jet Black on Pear Pizzazz, punch out with large oval punch and add to card front to finish off.
Set(s): Wetlands, Hardwood Background
Paper: Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Smoky Slate
Ink: StazOn Jet Black, Basic Grey, Smoky Slate, Pear Pizzazz
Other: Chalk Talk Framelits, Basic Metal Buttons, Linen Thread, Bitty Banner Punch (SAB), Large Oval Punch, Dimensionals

Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!

Gorgeous Grunge

TSSC308Happy Monday and welcome to another Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge!  Such a cool sketch Mary Jo has for use this week!

I was going to use stars on this (since I’m using a lot of stars this week for projects) but then since stars were actually on the sketch, I wanted to do something different.  I think this turned out to be a cool masculine card.

Here’s the details…

  • Marina Mist – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Very Vanilla – 4 3/4 x 3 1/2.  Stamp the largest scatter using Crumb Cake, the medium on in Marina Mist and the small on in Cajun Craze.  Stamp greeting using Versamark and emboss using Early Espresso.
  • Layer onto Cajun Craze 4 7/8 x 4 5/8 and add to card front using dimensionals.
  • Early Espresso banner 2 1/4 x 3/4 and Cajun Craze print banner 2 x 3/4.  Add to card front.
  • Add two chevron Essentials Wooden Elements to finish it off.

Gorgeous Grunge

SUO81The SUO challenge this time is to do a masculine card.  As I was trying to think what I had that was masculine, I thought right away of Gorgeous Grunge…LOVE THIS SET!!!  I wanted to the keep the colors pretty masculine with blues and browns and it just came together so nicely!

The base of the card is Sahara Sand.  I took a piece of Natural White – stamped the larger splash in Soft Suede, the spots in Night of Navy and the little splatter in Sahara Sand.  I added ed strips of Soft Suede to each side and added to the card front.  I ran a strip of Night of Navy through the Stylish Stripes, stamped the greeting in Night of Navy on Baked Brown Sugar, added a Natural Designer Button using Linen thread than added the strips to the card front to finish it off.

I really do like how this turned out!  Check out what the other design team members have done.

Set(s): Gorgeous Grunge, Remembering your birthday
Paper: Natural White, Sahara Sand, Soft Suede, Baked Brown Sugar, Night of Navy
Ink: Sahara Sand, Soft Suede, Night of Navy
Other: Natural Designer Buttons, Linen Thread, Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder

You’re My Hero

firetruckredWell…since I showed you a YELLOW fire truck, I thought I’d go ahead and show you a RED fire truck…so you have one of each!  Oh…and there is a little bit of a ‘sneak peek’ in there too!

This was such a FUN and EASY card to make.  The base of the card is Smoky Slate (LOVE the new color!)  I just LOVE the NEW Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder in the new seasonal mini and thought it would be absolutely PERFECT with this card…I was right…it IS!!!  I stamped the truck and greeting using StazOn Jet Black (TIP:  I put both images on the block and stamped both at once!) then colored in the truck with my Real Red marker.  I layered this onto a piece of Real Red, added two Basic Black banners then added to the card front using dimensionals.  Since I’m keeping things nice and simple, I just added a couple of Basic Black Stars to finish it off!  What another great card for the guy in your life!

summerpromoAnd speaking of the guys in your life…need some ‘guy’ ideas?  Yep…this week is all about gals and gals…how once set can be both for the guy and for the gal!

What’s the Summer Collection you ask?  Well its 24 fabulous EXCLUSIVE projects each with a full downloadable tutorial!  AND…by popular request…MORE card sets!
