Happy Halloween!

HalloweenHappy Halloween everyone!  Tonight is ‘Beggar’s Night’ around here (that’s when the kids go Trick or Treating and it’s NOT always on Halloween).

Since technically this is the LAST day I can use my ADORABLE little ghost.  NO…SAY IT AIN’T SO!!  I’ve had soooo much fun with it!  This is also for the casology 119 challenge – ghost.

I wanted to go with a little different look and drew the mouth on using the Project Life Journaling marker.  Why didn’t I think of that before?  It worked PERFECTLY!!!  It’s a happy ghost!

Here’s the details -

  • Whisper White – 3 1/2 x 11 folded
  • Ghost Print (Motely Monsters dsp) – 1 3/4 x 3 1/2, add to bottom of card front
  • Basic Black – 1/4 x 3 1/2 – add on top of ghost print
  • Tangelo Twist – 2 x 3 1/2, punch to using Scallop Tag Topper and the bottom using the Project Life Corner Rounder.
  • Add Basic Black Chevron Ribbon and tie using Silver 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon
  • Add tag using dimensionals
  • Cut out ghost from the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper.  Punch out eyes using 1/8″ hole punch, draw mouth on using Project Life Journaling Marker, add 3/4″ Basic Black circle behind the eyes and add ghost to tag using dimensionals
  • Sahara Sand – 3/8 x 2, stamp greeting using Memento Black, cut into tag, layer onto Basic Black banner – 1/2 x 2 and add to ghost

Santa Stache

CCMC327This Santa is just THE CUTEST and I couldn’t resist using him for the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge this week (a fun SKETCH challenge!).  I used him for a project I made for the Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Collection 2014 and had an extra ‘sitting on top of my desk’ so I just HAD to put him to good use!

This is really a very simple card and you really can’t see the ‘sparkle’ I added to the beard/mustache/hat on Santa, the Candy Dots and the embossed snowflakes on the Lost Lagoon panel.

Here’s the Details -

  • Cherry Cobbler – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Snowflake print – Trim the Tree dsp – 4 x 5 1/4, lay at an angle on the Cherry Cobbler base and trim
  • Lost Lagoon – 1 x 4 1/4, run through Lucky Stars Embossing Folder and add to card front
  • Stamp Santa on Whisper White using Memento Black ink, color hat with Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities and face with Skin Tone Blendabilities, cut out and add to card front using dimesionals.
  • Stamp mustache a second time, cut out and add using dimensionals
  • Stamp greeting using Memento Black on Kraft – 1/2 x 2 1/4, cut into a banner and add using dimensionals
  • Add Pool Party Candy Dots to top
  • Add Dazzling Details to the candy dots, Santa, and embossed stars to finish off.

Festival of Trees

BlogHopHolidayWelcomeWOOO HOOOO!!!!  It’s the end of Week 2 at Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Collection 2014 and it’s time for for another design team blog hop.  On Sunday through Friday only our subscribers can see the AMAZING projects for Christmas/Winter but on Saturdays our design team members join up to do a fun blog hop!  We feature the set we used for out project that week!  If you are going forward through the hop you arrived here from Amy White’s blog.  What a GREAT card!

Wk2SatHopFor my project this week (remember you have to be a subscriber to see it!) I used Festival of Trees.  I LOVE this little set!  A week or so ago I did a silver tinsel tree because it reminded me of a tree my grandma always put up at Christmas.  Well…I thought it would be fun to do another one of these.

I love doing this particular tree in silver since it does bring back that wonderful memory but it is just a fun image to use.  And I’ve sort of been into ‘tag’s lately so I put the tree together with a tag and here it is!

Here’s the details -

  • Brushed Silver – 3 1/2 x 11 folded
  • White/silver print (All is Calm dsp) – 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 and add to card front
  • Cherry Cobbler dsp print (Trim the Tree dsp paper stack) – 3 1/2 x 1 1/2 and add to card front
  • Silver Glimmer – 3/8 x 4 1/4 – cut ends on a diagonal and add to card front
  • Cherry Cobbler  – 2 x 4, punch top using Scallop Tag Topper, emboss greeting using White embossing powder
  • Silver Glimmer – 3/8 x 1 7/8, cut on a diagonal and add to card tag
  • Add White Organza ribbon to top and tie with Silver 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon.  Add tag to card front using dimensionals
  • Emboss tree using Silver embossing powder on Whisper White, punch out with Tree Punch
  • Stamp star, base an bird using Cherry Cobbler, cut/punch out and add to tree. (I added bird using dimensional.)  Add tree to tag using dimensionals
  • Add snowflakes and small silver sequins to finish off.
