Wondrous Wreath

SUO112It’s time for another SUO challenge and our theme this time is Merry and Bright – celebrating the winter holidays!

I say this layered embossed wreath on Pinterest (of course) and had demoed this at a workshop.  I think this is definitely Merry and Bright!  Don’t you?

It’s hard to tell from the picture but instead of just stamping in ink the 3 layers of the wreath…each layer is embossed.  In real life…it is REALLY cool!

Here’s the details -

  • Cherry Cobbler – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Whisper White – 3 3/8 x 4 5/8, run through Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder and layer onto Brushed Gold 3 3/4 x 4 3/4.  Add to card front using dimensionals.
  • Stamp first layer of wreath using Versamark on Brushed Gold and white emboss.  Tap with Embossing Buddy.  Stamp 2nd layer of wreath using Versamark and Gold Emboss.  Tap with Embossing Buddy.  Stamp 3rd layer of wreath using Versamark and Cherry Cobbler Emboss.  Cut out using wreath framelits.  Add to card front.
  • Stamp bow and hanger using Versamark on Whisper White.  Cherry Cobbler Emboss.  Cut out using matching Framelit.
  • Cut Cherry Cobbler Joy out using framelit.  Add to card front.

Don’t forget to check out what the rest of the design team to see which one they picked!

TSSC345Yep it’s time for another Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.  LOVE the long narrow card and immediately had the idea for this card.  Silver and white is one of my favorite color combos for Christmas and a little touch of Cherry Cobbler is perfect!

  • Whisper White – 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 folded
  • Whisper White – 3 x 6 1/4
  • Silver Glimmer – 1 3/8 x 5 1/2, cut into banner and add
  • Silver Foil – 2 x 3 1/2 – add using dimensionals
  • Stamp greeting using Cherry Cobbler

  • Silver Glimmer – Tree punch (without trunk)
  • Silver Foil – Petite Pennants Build punch.

A Merry Little Wish

CAS303Here’s a very quick little card that I did for the CAS challenge on SCS.  I saw the challenge was to add some sparkle to a Christmas card and I realized that I hadn’t done one of my pink snowflake cards.  Now typically when I do a pink snowflake card…the snowflakes are actually pink but since I wanted to go for maximum sparkle…I just put sparkly white and silver snowflakes on some Pink Pirouette!

Here’s the details…

  • Pink Pirouette – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Pink Pirouette – 3 5/8 x 4 7/8
  • Stamp greeting using Versamark and silver emboss
  • Add panel to card front using dimensionals
  • Cut out large snowflake from Dazzling Glimmer paper and small from Silver Glimmer paper.  Add to card front.
  • Add some Basic Rhinestones to finish it off.

Yep…a good CAS card and quick and simple!

Set(s): Get Your Santa On
Paper: Pink Pirouette, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer, Sliver Glimmer
Ink: Versamark
Other: Snowflake Card Thinlits, Silver Embossing, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Santa Stache

SantaGCH1Welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge!  Now usually for the Thursday Challenge we have a sketch or a color challenge for you, but with Christmas quickly approaching we decided to do gift card holders!

I had VERY limited time to get my gift card holder done so I decided to go with that concept of simple and EASY!!!  And honestly…I think the only thing easier than my gift card holder is buying a pre-made one…but then you would have to go to a store for that!

Here’s the details…

  • Trim the Tree print – 4 x 6 1/2.  Score at 3 and 6.  Fold and put together.
  • Garden Green – 2 1/2 x 9 3/4.  Score at 1 1/2 and 5 3/4.  Fold.
  • Cut one end into a point (I did min off center for a little different look.
  • Stamp inside with greeting.
  • Trim the Tree print – 1/2 x 4.  Add to top flap and trim.
  • Whisper White – stamp Santa using Memento Black, color using Blendabilities:  Cherry Cobbler, Calypso Coral, Skin Tones.  Cut out.  Stamp mustache, cut out and add using dimensionals.
  • Add Santa to flap using dimensionals.
  • Decorate hat, beard and mustache using Dazzling Details.

Here’s some other pictures…
