Fall Fest

CAS292I haven’t had a chance to join the Clean and Simple Challenge on SCS for quite awhile.

This week it is a cool ‘State Fair’ photo…things that you would find at the State Fair!  So I thought PUMPKINS!!!

A number of years ago my dad decided to grow some pumpkins and wanted to grow some of those HUGE ones!  So he started to grow them…and grow them…and grow them!!!  Although he didn’t have any ‘award winning’ pumpkins but he did end up growing some between 800 and 900 pounds!  They were really something.

But…here’s my little CAS card and here are the details –

  • Very Vanilla – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Very Vanilla – 3 1/2 x 4 3/4, stamp greeting using Old Olive and the swish in Early Espresso
  • Add the Linen Thread using a Glue Dot
  • Stamp pumpkin using Tangelo Twist and Old Olive, cut out and add to card front using dimensionals.  Stamp leaf using Old Olive, cut out and add to finish it off.
Set(s): Fall Fest, For All Things, Work of Art

Ink: Early Espresso, Old Olive, Tangelo Twist
Other: Linen Thread, Glue Dots, Dimensionals

Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!

World of Dreams

CAS279Two of my very favorite sets in one card!  What could be better than that?

The CAS challenge is to make a sunset.  As soon as I saw that I thought that pairing together Work of Art and World of Dreams would make a perfect sunset scene.  This was one of those cards that it is taking me longer to put together a post on it then it did for me to make it!

  • Whisper White – 3 5/8 x 3 5/8.  Stamp swish with Tangelo Twist, Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay

  • Cut out using Circle Framelit

Work of Art

CC481Yep … you guessed it …  ANOTHER Work of Art card!

There’s sort of a story behind this one though because this is NOT what I set out to stamp this morning…HONESTLY!

You see I wanted to do a card for the SCS Color Challenge today.  I decided I was going to used the word Thanks or Thank You (nice and big and bold) and then have silhouette style flowers behind it in the Strawberry Slush and So Saffron.  Then I was going to add the little Strawberry Slush bow on the T in Thanks.  And this is what I did … HMMM … NOT even close!  Now I’m not saying I don’t like this…I do.  It’s just interesting what I see in my head and what I end up with!

Here’s the details –

  • Whisper White – 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Whisper White – 4 1/4 x 4 1/4, run through chevron embossing folder and add to card front
  • Whisper White – 3 1/2 x 3 1/2.  Stamp the larger swish in So Saffron and the smaller one in Strawberry Slush.  Stamp greeting using Smoky Slate.
  • So Saffron dsp (Subtles dsp Paper Pack) – 1/4 x 3 1/2 add to bottom
  • Wrap piece of Strawberry Slush Twine along bottom.  Tie small bow from the Strawberry Slush Twine and add to card using glue.
  • Attach panel using dimensionals.
  • Add some Basic Rhinestones to finish off.

Quick and easy…my very favorite kind of card!

Set(s): Work of Art, Four You
Paper: Whisper White, Subtles dsp paper pack
Ink: Smoky Slate, So Saffron, Strawberry Slush
Other: Strawberry Slush Twine, Chevron Embossing Folder, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!

  • Stamp greeting using Basic Black
  • Add some medium rhinestones to finish it off.

Yep…that’s all there is to it!

Paper: Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, So Saffron, Rose Red, Wild Wasabi
Other: Envelop Punch Board, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals
