Wonderfall

CCMC268Are you ready for a unique ‘fall’ color challenge?  Okay…so here’s the story behind this.  Connie and I try to ‘match’ up sets that we are using for a Create with Connie and Mary collection when we doing our Thursday Challenges.  Now I design the challenges often well ahead of when we set up a Collection.  So I had this GREAT color challenge planned and it fell on the week Connie and I were doing HALLOWEEN on Create with Connie and Mary Fall Collection 2013.  Now we are good BUT…there was NO WAY we going to figure this color combo out for HALLOWEEN!!!  So we asked our wonderful design team if we could switch things around I decided this would be a perfect fall color combo…WORKS FOR ME!!!

So now that you know the story behind this color combo here’s my card details…base of the card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 Whisper White.  I took another piece of Whisper White, ran it through the Pretty Prints Embossing Folder, layered on Soft Sky and added to the card front.  I used the Wonderfall set and Autumn Accents die and did the leaves with matching ink – Maple – Wisteria Wonder, Medium Leaf – Pistachio Pudding, Small Leaf – Soft Sky,  I made a ‘bow’ form Whisper White 3/8″ Taffeta Ribbon, added a Pistachio Pudding Boutique Details on top and added to the leaves.  I stamped the greeting using Basic Grey and Wisteria Wonder on Whisper White, cut into a banner, added Pistachio Pudding Stretch Ruffled Ribbon along the bottom and added to the card front.  I added the leaves to finish it off.  NOTE:  When adding the banner and leaves you want to make sure it doesn’t go longer than 5 1/2″ so it fits in a regular sized envelope.

Wonderfall

This really is a quick and easy card!  The base of the card is Lucky Limeade.  I took a piece of Very Vanilla, ran it through the Woodgrain Embossing Folder, layered it onto Rich Razzleberry then to the card front using dimensionals.  I used the Autumn Accents Die to cut leaves out of Very Vanilla then stamped the images from Wonderfall – large leaf/Lucky Limeade, medium leaf/Rich Razzleberry, small leaf/Night of Navy then layered these onto the card front. (HINT:  I used the stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure everything lined up good!)  I stamped the greeting using Versamark on Night of Navy and and embossed in white (my secret Create word is “it”), cut out using the Bitty Banners framelit and added to the card front.  I made the bow from Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon, Rich Razzleberry Button and Whisper White Bakers Twine.  The button is added using Glue Dots.

Set(s): Wonderfall, Itty Bitty Banners

Fall Broom Centerpiece

Have you ever had an idea pop into your head and when you sit down to make it, it turns out exactly the way you had imagined it?  Yep…that seldom happens to me either but in this case…it turned out EXACTLY the way I had imagined it!  And how cool is that?  VERY COOL!

Now I will have to say…I haven’t not used by petal cone die much but I was thinking how that would make such a great broom.  And it did!  Between the Petal Cone Die, Coordinations Paper and Woodgrain Embossing Folder, the Autumn Accents Die and the Wonderful set and the Typeset Alphabet Dies….this really is soooo easy.
