MayMnT1Here’s another card I wanted to show you all before things totally retire.  This uses the I Am Me dsp ( just like my card on Sunday) along with the Needlepoint Embossing Folders.  It is based on this card by Lee Conrey.

This was one of the other cards we did as a make and take at my May workshop.  So much fun!  The colors on this are just so happy!  I like cheerful cards like this one!

Here’s the details –

  • Whisper White – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Calypso Coral polka dots (I Am Me dsp) – 1 x 5 1/2, add to card front.
  • Whisper White – 3 1/4 x 5 1/2.  Run each side through the Scallop Needlepoint Embossing Folder.
  • Stamp stem using Wild Wasabi and the flowers using Crisp Cantaloupe and Calypso Coral.  The greeting is stamped using Basic Black.
  • Add strips of Calypso Coral – 5 1/2 x 1/2 to EACH side and add panel to card front using dimensionals.

See…another quick and easy card!

TSSC275Oh…what a wonderful CAS sketch Mary Jo has for us on the Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge this week!

I went for really quick and easy!  The base of the card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 Whisper White.  I took another piece of Whisper White, ran it through the dotted embossing folder and added to the card base.  Next I took another piece stamped the stems in Pistachio Pudding, the larger of the flowers in Blushing Bride and the tops of the flowers in Crisp Cantaloupe.  I added a strip of the Pistachio Pudding along the top and some Crisp Cantaloupe stretch ruffle ribbon along the bottom then added to the card front.  I stamped the greeting using Smoky Slate, punched withe 1 3/8″ Circle Punch then used my Circle Framelits to make the Pistachio Pudding circle layer.  This added using dimensionals.  A couple rhinestones on the panel and my card is done!

TSSC275Well as you can see I changed the size and flipped it but otherwise it’s sort of just like the sketch!  I do love CAS designs!!  We’d love to have you play along!  Don’t forget to check out the other members of the team and remember go to the Technostamper blog to play along!

NEW STUFF!!

DSC00254Oh my word…NEW STUFF!!!  I don’t like showing NEW STUFF until you are able to buy it and TODAY you can buy this!

So…what is this NEW STUFF you ask?  Well it is an incredible set of framelits (this one is called Label Thinlits) that lets you make ‘movable’ cards.  And you know why I have this NEW STUFF already?

I WON A SET AT CONVENTION!!!  I could not have been more DELIGHTED with my win!

DSC00255

And since today is August 1st and today is the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge, I decided to use my NEW STUFF for it!

The base of the card is Smoky Slate and I ran it through the framelit and it CUTS AND SCORES the base for you!  I took a piece of the Smoky Slate Chevron, ran it through just the one side of framelit then attached to the back section.

One thing I discovered working with this set of framelits is that the 2nd to smallest Label Framelit is the SAME SIZE as the swinging panel on this so it ‘frames’ the Label Framelit that comes with this set perfectly!  I cut one of the original framelits in Bermuda Bay and added it to the swinging panel.  I added a Whisper White Wide Oval punch on that.

DSC00256I took a piece of Basic Black and used with the Label Framelit (that come WITH this set) and cut it the the ‘hi’ (also in the set).  NOTE:  I found to get the HI cut out, I had to use a shim of our colored cardstock…just a note in case you have a problem.  I added it using dimensionals.  Than I added a Bermuda Bay Candy Dot as the ‘dot’ on the i.  I cut the arrows from Bermuda Bay, Basic Black and Whisper White and added these to the card front.  Then I cut out a Bermuda Bay Label Framelit (the one in the set), stamped the greeting from Too Kind and added to the back of the swinging section to finish it off.

I know this is a very simple card but I really wanted to ‘show off’ this NEW STUFF!!! and this fun color challenge at Create with Connie and Mary was the perfect opportunity for it!

You want to make sure you check out the AWESOME cards from our Design Team…they are THE BEST…so head over to Create with Connie and Mary now.

Fireworks?

FireworksHappy 4th of July everyone!  This is my second card for today so make sure you check out my Timeless Talk card here.

So…what do you do when you really, really, really want to do a challenge but don’t have the image for the ‘theme’?  IMPROVISE!!!  The CASology challenge this week is FIREWORKS and I REALLY wanted to join the fun but … well … no FIREWORKS images in my Stampin’ UP! stuff.  So I was looking at the images I DID have and thought the big flower in the Too Kind set well…LOOKED LIKED FIREWORKS!  WOOO HOOO!!!

So here’s my CAS card.  Base of the card is Whisper White.  I too another piece of Whisper White, stamped the greeting (from Remembering Your Birthday…but you could EASILY put Happy 4th of July inside!) using Midnight Muse and Real Red.  I stamped the large flower using the same colors, punched out some Silver Glimmer stars, added using dimensionals then added the panel to the card front (yes, it is to the left on purpose!) using dimensionals.  Quick and easy and DEFINITELY celebrating the 4th!

TSSC270Oh look…it’s my VERY favorite set AGAIN!!!  I just can’t seem to get enough of this set!  I love that it is so easy to layered the section of the flower and you really don’t need to be all that precise!  The Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge is sooo much fun this week!

The base of the card is Whisper White.  I took a Coastal Cabana print from the 2013-2015 dsp paper pack, layered on Basic Black, add a Basic Black panel then wrapped two piece of Bermuda Bay 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon.  This panel is added to the card front.  Next I took a piece of Whisper White, stamped the stems in Basic Black then the bottom layer of the flowers in Coastal Cabana and the top layer of the flowers in Bermuda Bay.  I added this panel using dimensionals.  I stamped the banner in Coastal Cabana, cut out and added using dimensionals.  Finally I added some Basic Rhinestones for just a little bling!

TSSC270It’s ANOTHER GREAT sketch by Mary Jo!  We’d love to have you play along!  Don’t forget to check out the other members of the team and remember go to the Technostamper blog to play along!

CCMC257Oh my word…I think when SU designed this stamp set they said…what can we design that will make Mary absolutely HAPPY and then they designed this set!  I got into SU because of the two-step stamping and layering images.  TOTALLY hooked me and I still can’t get enough of it!  The sketch challenge for Create with Connie and Mary was just perfect to use this set!

The base of the card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 Blushing Bride.  I took another piece of the Blushing Bride, ran it through the the Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder, added to the card front and rounded the bottom corners.  I took a piece of the Pistachio Pudding dsp and just cut the end with the one Chalk Talk framelit and added to the card front.  I used that same framelit and cut out a Whisper White piece.  I stamped the Stems in Pistachio Pudding, the bottom layer of the flowers in Blushing Bride and then the top layer of the flowers in Crisp Cantaloupe.  I added this label to the card front using dimensionals.  to finish it off I tied a piece of Whisper White 3/8″ Taffeta around it and added some Basic Rhinestones to the label.

DSC01064Oh…I LOVE this set!  I played with this all day yesterday to make a project for the Create with Connie and Mary Summer Collection!  And let me tell you…it is CUTE!!!  But the only way to see that project is to be a subscriber!

But since it was sitting on top of my desk, I used this for the color challenge on SCS and for the CASology challenge theme of YELLOW.  The base of the card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 Daffodil Delight.  I took a piece of Whisper White and added to the card base using dimensionals and cut a piece of Washi Tape into a banner and added to the card.  I stamped the stem in Pear Pizzazz on Whisper White, the larger flower in Daffodil Delight and the top layer of the flower in Crushed Curry.  The greeting is stamped in Old Olive.  I layered this on Whisper White using dimensionals then to the card using dimensionals.  Yep…a REALLY simple card well because I HAVE to get to school for a class!

TSSC267Well it’s Monday again and time for the Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.  I absolutely LOVE this new set and just couldn’t wait to start using it.

The base of the card is Daffodil Delight.  I took a print from the Eastern Elegance pack, layered on Smoky Slate (it’s a very tiny border), added a Crushed Curry Deco Frame then wrapped two pieced of the Basic Grey Stitched 1/4″ Grosgrain ribbon.  This is added to the card base.  Next I cut out the next smallest Deco Frame in Whisper White.  I stamped the stems in Pear Pizzazz, the larger of each flower in Daffodil Delight then the smaller of each flower in Crushed Curry.  I stamped the greeting in Basic Grey then added to the card front using dimensionals.  I added some Basic Rhinestones to finish it off.
