Sea Street

TSSC317Yep…it’s another Sea Street card from me!  I just LOVE this happy little octopus and he is soooooo much fun to cut out (that is of course if you happen to LOVE cutting things out like I do!  LOL!!!).

Last Thursday my friend Connie made a DARLING Blackberry Bliss octopus and that was my inspiration for Mary Jo’s Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge!  So between Connie’s inspiration and Mary Jo’s great sketch, this is what I came up with!

Here’s the details…

  • Sahara Sand – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Moonlight dsp paper stack – small dotted print – 4 7/8 x 3 5/8, layer on Blackberry Bliss – 5 x 3 3/4, and add to card front.
  • Moonlight dsp paper stack – Hello Honey honeycomb (hint…it’s the back side of the dotted!) 1 5/8 x 2 1/2 AND 1 5/8 x 1 1/2.  Round corners using the Project Life Corner Rounder and add to card front using dimensionals
  • Sahara Sand – 1 1/8 x 2 1/4, stamp greeting using Blackberry Bliss, round corner using regular corner rounder (that is retiring) and add to card front.
  • Stamp octopus on Whisper White using Blackberry Bliss.  Cut out (I know…crazy!) and add to card front using dimensionals.
  • Add some Basic Rhinestones to finish it off.

TSSC317AWESOME sketch!  I just LOVE it!  Don’t forget to check out the other members of the team and remember go to the Technostamper blog to play along!

I wanted to use some of my ‘new stuff’…you all know how I LOVE NEW STUFF!!!  I am really liking the new hostess set “Bloom with Hope” and the Lullaby dsp is NOT just for babies!  The colors are GREAT and the prints so versatile!  It’s definitely a ‘must have’ paper!

Pleasant Poppies

TSSC314Happy Monday!  It’s time for another Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge and Mary Jo has a nice easy one for us!  I knew when I saw it I wanted to use something that would let me use my new Blendabilities some.  Then I remembered my Pleasant Poppies background stamp that I haven’t used in FOREVER so I figured it would work.

Now one of the things about the blendabilities is that when you buy them you get a set of 3 shades of one color.  But remember….you don’t have to use just those colors together.  My friend Jackie played around some mixing the medium colors of markers and I thought I’d just mix them up a bit too.  For the flowers on this card I used the Cherry Cobbler Medium and Light and the Pumpkin Pie Medium.  I think I was able to get a cool poppy color doing that.

Here’s the details:

  • Tangerine Tango – 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Tangerine Tango dsp Paper Pack – 3 7/8 x 3 7/8 layered onto Whisper White 4 x 4.
  • Tie a piece of the NEW Mossy Meadow Stitched Satin Ribbon around the panel and add to card front.
  • Whisper White 2 1/2 x 3 5/8.  Stamp Pleasant Poppies using Memento Black Ink, color with Cherry Cobbler Medium and Light and Pumpkin Pie Medium Blendabilities and stems with Old Olive Medium and Light Blendabilities.  Round bottom corners and add to card front using dimensionals.
  • Stamp greeting using Basic Grey on So Saffron.  Punch ends using Modern Label punch.  Add to card front using dimensionals.

TSSC314Isn’t this just a FABULOUS sketch?  I thought so!  Don’t forget to check out the other members of the team and remember go to the Technostamper blog to play along!

Something to Say

CCMC302You sometimes simple is the best.  For the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge we have a fun color challenge and I decided to go with the ‘simple is best’ idea for this.

The colors are Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Bermuda Bay.  As I was playing around with it first I got my ‘pre-order’ stuff with the fun little flower punch in there and then after playing around I just wanted to showcase these pretty colors just on white!

Here’s the details…

  • Whisper White 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4 run through Chevron Embossing folder and add to card front.
  • Whisper White 4 1/4 x 3.  Stamp greeting from the NEW Something to Say set using Basic Grey.  Add panel to card front using dimensionals
  • Punch Petite Petals in Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, and Bermuda Bay.  Punch the Flower from the NEW Itty Bitty Accessories Punch Pack from Whisper White.  Layer the flowers and add a matching Candy Dot to the center.  Then add flowers to card front to finish off.

Head on over to Create with Connie and Mary and check out what the design team did with this week’s challenge!
