Sea Street

CCMC355Well another Thursday and time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  This week we have a fun sketch for you!  I decided to change it from a horizontal card to a square card.  Sometimes I just like this size best!

I haven’t used my Sea Street set for awhile and wanted to use the Moonlight DSP again before it was gone.

Here’s the details –

  • Lost Lagoon – 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Whisper White – 3 3/4 x 3 3/4
  • Moonlight dsp paper stack – 15/16 x 1 1/2 – pick 4 different print and add to the Whisper White panel, add Silver Foil strip 1/4 x 3 3/4.
  • Add to Blackberry Bliss 3 5/8 x 3 5/8.  Add panel to card front using dimensionals.
  • Stamp octopus using Blackberry Bliss, cute out and add to card front using dimensionals.
  • Stamp greeting banner using Lost Lagoon on Whisper White, cut out and add to a toothpick with the ends cut off.  Add to card.
  • Add Basic Rhinestones to finish off.

And don’t forget to head over to Create with Connie and Mary to check out what the design team did with this delightful challenge!

TSSC326Okay…so I’m calling this Sea Street meets Amazing Birthday!  When I saw the sketch for this week’s Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge, I decided to step it up a bit even though it is a very CAS sketch.  I was looking through my catalog to get inspired and saw the Sea Street and Amazing Birthday on the same page and decided they would work together perfectly for Mary Jo’s Sketch!

Here’s the details –

  • Pool Party – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Multicolor print (Maritime dsp) 3 x 4 1/4, layer onto Night of Navy 3 1/8 x 4 3/8 then add to card front using dimensionals
  • Stamp banner in Pool Party on Whisper White, cut out with banner Framelit and add to card front using dimensionals.
  • Wrap a piece of Real Red 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon around card with the ends in the front.
  • Stamp octopus in Real Real Red, cut out and add to the card front.
  • Stamp the circle greeting in both Night of Navy and Real Red.  Punch out the Night of Navy one using the 1 1/4 Circle Punch and the Real Red one with the 3/4″ Circle punch.  Layer the 1 1/4 one on 1 3/8″ Night of Navy Circle and the Real Red using a dimensional.  Add to card front using dimensionals.

TSSC326What a wonderful sketch this week and just soooo many different things you can do with it!  Don’t forget to check out the other members of the team and remember go to the Technostamper blog to play along!

CAS284Oh…I just LOVE this little octopus.  It is just soooo much fun to cut out!  The CAS challenge this time on SCS is to CASE a card by Tenia and I chose this one.  I kept the overall layout of the card but changed the size, the colors, the set, the placement of the greeting, added some paper piercing and some bling.  No, really…it does have the same ‘feel’ in the layout!

Here’s the details –

  • Whisper White – 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 folded.  I used the envelope punch board to round the upper right corner of the card.
  • Moonlight dsp paper pack (multi-colored chevron print)- 2 x 4 1/4 and add to card front.
  • Hello Honey – 2 1/2 circle punch, paper pierce around it and add to card front using dimensionals.
  • Stamp Octopus in Blackberry Bliss and cut out.
  • Stamp greeting in Blackberry Bliss on 1/2 x 2 1/4 Sahara Sand.  Cut into a banner and wrap left side around toothpick that has the pointy ends cut off on each end.  Add to octopus using glue dots.
  • Add octopus to the card front using dimensionals.
  • Add some Basic Rhinestones to finish it off.

Now wasn’t that fun and easy!

Sea Street

CAS282Okay…just a super quick and easy card for the CAS (clean and simple) challenge on SCS today.

The challenge is a day at the beach.  Hmmm…what to do?  I really like the Sea Street set but usually only use the cute octopus in there.  Yet there are all these other FUN images…little mind you…but perfect for ‘a day at the beach’.

Here’s the details –

  • Whisper White 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 folded
  • Whisper White 3 1/2 x 3 1/2
  • Stamp lobster and crab in Real Red.  Punch out lobster with medium oval punch and add to panel.  Punch out crab with 3/4″ Circle punch
  • Stamp ‘rope’ using Crumb Cake, cut out and add to card front.
  • Stamp greeting using Night of Navy.
  • Stamp star using Night of Navy and Pool Party cut out.  Add dimensionals to the back of stars and crab and add to card front.
  • Add some Basic Rhinestones to finish it off.

So…that’s my quick and easy, clean and simple card!  Time for bed!

SUO99Guess what?  It’s time for another SUO Challenge and this time our theme is ‘Summer Days’.  And if you are liking new stuff and also very summery feel, check out this cool card using the World of Dreams set and Washi Tape

I just REALLY like this cute little octopus.  When I was trying to think of something to do with him I decided a bunch of ‘bubbles’ would be GREAT!  To make them, I added vellum to adhesive THEN punch them out.  This way they stuck nicely and I didn’t see the adhesive.

Here’s the details:

  • Lost Lagoon – 4 1/4 x 11, folded and using the Project Life Corner Rounder on the bottom two corners.
  • Lost Lagoon – 3 1/2 x 4 3/4, round bottom two corners.  Layer onto Whisper White 3 5/8 x 4 7/8 with bottom two corners rounded then add to card front using dimensionals
  • Add Vellum Circles in 1″, 3/4″ and 1/2″.  As I said above, add adhesive to the vellum then punch.
  • Stamp Octopus in Blackberry Bliss, cut out.  Stamp greeting using Blackberry Bliss on Whisper White.  Cut into a banner and add to a toothpick (with the ends cut off) and add the flag to the octopus using Glue Dots.
  • Add Octopus to card front using dimensionals
  • Add some Basic Rhinestones to the card to finish it off.

Don’t forget to check out what the rest of the design team to see which one they picked!

Set(s): Sea Street, And Many More
Paper: Whisper White, Lost Lagoon, Vellum
Ink: Blackberry Bliss
Other: 1″ Circle Punch, 3/4″ Circle Punch, 1/2″ Circle Punch, Project Life Corner Rounder, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals

TSSC317Yep…it’s another Sea Street card from me!  I just LOVE this happy little octopus and he is soooooo much fun to cut out (that is of course if you happen to LOVE cutting things out like I do!  LOL!!!).

Last Thursday my friend Connie made a DARLING Blackberry Bliss octopus and that was my inspiration for Mary Jo’s Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge!  So between Connie’s inspiration and Mary Jo’s great sketch, this is what I came up with!

Here’s the details…

  • Sahara Sand – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Moonlight dsp paper stack – small dotted print – 4 7/8 x 3 5/8, layer on Blackberry Bliss – 5 x 3 3/4, and add to card front.
  • Moonlight dsp paper stack – Hello Honey honeycomb (hint…it’s the back side of the dotted!) 1 5/8 x 2 1/2 AND 1 5/8 x 1 1/2.  Round corners using the Project Life Corner Rounder and add to card front using dimensionals
  • Sahara Sand – 1 1/8 x 2 1/4, stamp greeting using Blackberry Bliss, round corner using regular corner rounder (that is retiring) and add to card front.
  • Stamp octopus on Whisper White using Blackberry Bliss.  Cut out (I know…crazy!) and add to card front using dimensionals.
  • Add some Basic Rhinestones to finish it off.

TSSC317AWESOME sketch!  I just LOVE it!  Don’t forget to check out the other members of the team and remember go to the Technostamper blog to play along!
