Hello Spring

HelloSpringSometimes simple is just best.  You know that I happen to LOVE the CAS style and use it whenever I can.  And since it is Day 6 of Create with Connie and Mary Card “Create”tions Celebrations I just wanted a simple card to share with you all.  (Okay…you twisted my arm…I’ll confess…I needed something quick and easy!)  I am going to soooo  miss these incolors when they go away the end of May.  They just have been THE BEST!  I also did this for the casology week 140 challenge and SCS Free for All challenge.

Here’s the details (don’t blink…you might miss them)

  • Whisper White – 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Whisper White – 3 1/2 x 3 1/2, stamp flower in Crisp Cantaloupe, leaves in Pistachio Pudding, greeting Smoky Slate
  • Add panel to card front using dimensionals
  • Add Basic Rhinestones to finish off.

Painted Petals

PaintedPetalsIt’s Day 3 of Preview Week for Create with Connie and Mary Card “Create”tions Celebrations.  So another of our FABULOUS designers has a card to share with you and is offering BLOG CANDY!  Who is it?  Head on over to Create with Connie and Mary to find out!  Oh…and while you are there…don’t miss out…subscribe today!

Do you LOVE this set?  I know I do!  I got it in photopolymer and just LOVE how easy it i to line things up when up stamp.  But I do have to tell you, I was a tad bit perplexed when I saw ALL THE INDIVIDUAL PIECES that you get when you get the photopolymer version of the this set.  But I figured out an easy way to get things perfect.  Here’s what I do…

DSC03356Start by leaving the pieces positioned on the sheet.

DSC03357Put your block on top and the pieces are positioned just they way the are supposed to be.

DSC03360Stamp this first step on your paper

DSC03361Now lay the flower stamps where they belong (stamping side down)

DSC03362Finally….add the blog to the back of the flowers and you are good to go.

I’ve shown this at a couple workshops and everyone can see just how easy it is to get everything lined up just the way it need to be.

And now for my card…here’s the details –

  • Blushing Bride – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Best Year Ever dsp print – 4 1/4  4 1/4, add to card front
  • Pistachio Pudding – 4 1/4 x 1 1/2, run though Spring Flowers Embossing Folder and add to card front.
  • Smoky Slate – 5/8 x 4 1/4, add to card front.
  • Whisper White – 3 7/8 x 2 5/8, stamp leaves in Pistachio Pudding, Flowers in Blushing Bride and greeting Smoky Slate.
  • Use Silver Glimmer pen to centers of flowers.
  • Smoky Slate – 3 7/8 x 1/2 – add behind top of panel and add panel to card front using dimensionals.

CAS317Here’s a quick and easy CAS card for you this evening!

  • Stamp greeting using Pistachio Pudding.
  • Add layer to card front using dimensionals.
  • Tie bow from Whisper White Baker’s Twine.  Add to pocket.

Painted Petals

CAS135Boy…it’s been a a while since I stamped just for fun but when I saw the Casology Challenge theme of ‘mini’ I just HAD to join the fun.

I do love the color combination of Calypso Coral and Night of Navy – it is simple and striking.  After I made my main card, I decided it needed ‘just a little sumthin’, sumthin’ so I added the ‘mini’ banners on the side and it was just what it needed to ‘kick it up’ a step!

Here’s the details –

  • Whisper White – 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Whisper White – 3 5/8 x 3 5/8, stamp the flowers in Cameo Coral and the greeting using Night of Navy.
  • Punch a Calypso Coral and Night of Navy Banners, add behind the panel and add using dimensionals
  • Add some Basic Rhinestones to finish it off.

Yep…believe it or not that’s all there is to it!  LOVE CAS!!!
