Merry Everything

CCMC330This is just THE BEST color combo for a Fall/Autumn card and it is the color challenge for Create with Connie and Mary Thursday challenge this week.

The colors are Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist and Blackberry Bliss and yes, you have seen me use these colors before!  I do really LOVE them.

I wanted to do a simple card that just really showed off the colors and here is my very simple card!

Here’s the details –

  • Tangelo Twist – 3 1/2 x 11 folded, stamp the little leaf from Fall Fest using Tangelo Twist
  • Hello Honey grid print (Moonlight dsp Paper Stack) – 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 – the long end is 2 1/2 and the short end is 1 3/4.  Add to card front.
  • Add three strips of Blackberry Bliss 4 3/4 x 1/4.  Once they are on the card, cut down so finished card size is 4 1/4.
  • Stamp greeting using Tangelo Twist and Blackberry Bliss on Very Vanilla, punch out using Note Tag Punch, staple piece of Hello Honey Stitched Satin ribbon to top and add tag using dimensionals.
  • Add some Basic Rhinestones to finish off.

And don’t forget to head over to Create with Connie and Mary to check out what the design team did with this delightful challenge!

Tour de Freaks – October

freakwelcome2013

Happy Freakin’ Hop Day!  It’s that time of month again when the control freaks get together to ‘strut their stuff’!  How AWESOME is THAT!!!  This month we are featuring Autumn/Grateful and since I LOVE the colors of Autumn…I just HAD to join the fun!  If you are going forward through the hop you arrived here from LeeAnn Greff and her fabulous Flowerbug Blog!  I just LOVE her style!!!

DSC02672I have a habit of stamping with what is ‘on the top of my desk’ and I just finished having my annual Christmas Card Class and one of the cards we did was this card but in Christmas colors.  Oh my…I do LOVE the Wondrous Wreath set and how EASY it is to line everything up since it is the Photopolymer!  My card base is Tangelo Twist.  The ‘stripe’ is actually the Color Me Autumn Washi Tape.  The panel is Very Vanilla and I used Crushed Curry, Tangelo Twist and Blackberry Bliss for my ink!  I just think these colors are SOOO rich together!  So this is a super quick and easy card for you!

DSC02671So next up…I have a little fancier card for you!  The base of the card is Tangelo Twist and I took another piece and ran it through the hexagon embossing folder,  I added a strip of Gold Glimmer Paper then took a piece of Blackberry Biss, used the Banner Framelits (just the ‘end) and cut this strip into a flag and add with dimensionals.  The wreath is stamped the same as above and cut out with the wreath framelits and added with dimensionals.  The greeting is from the Merry Everything set (Blackberry Bliss and Crushed Curry) and punched out with Note Tag Punch and add with dimensionals.  I added a Gold Basic Metal Button then tied a knot in a piece of the Tangelo Twist Ribbon and add using a glue dot.

DSC02675I always like to do a little 3D to go along with my other projects in the hop post and this time I did a little frame.  The frame is 4 x 6 and just the perfect size for this.

Okay…this is pretty much the same as everything above except I used a print from the Moonlight dsp paper stack (LOVE this stack!).  I used the Banner Framelits to cut out the banners for this (Blackberry Bliss and Tangelo Twist).  Tag is stamped with Blackberry Bliss and Tangelo Twist.  Everything else is pretty much the same!

DSC02677And there is my trio of Autumn just for you!

Now it is time to hop on over to Patty Bennett’s Patty’s Stamping Spot Blog.  She has some fall wonderfulness in store for you!

Four Feathers Takeout Box

HolidayCardHopWelcomeHappy Saturday everyone and welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Card “Create”tions Saturday Blog Hop! For this edition on Saturdays our fabulous design team is going to have a Blog Hop showing off a small favor that matches the card set that we did for our subscribers (don’t worry…it’s not too late to join!)

If you are going forward through the hop you arrived here from Natasha Zandbergen’ blog Inking Out of the Box.  Isn’t it fun seeing all of the take out boxes?  I know I’m getting some GREAT ideas!

The other special thing about our Saturday Blog Hop is that each of us will be using the same item for our favor and this week we are all using the cool new Takeout boxes!

This week we featured Halloween, Fall, Thanksgiving card sets.  I LOVE the new Four Feathers set so I used it along with the All is Calm dsp and for this the Merry Everything stamp set.

TakeOutBox2

I randomly stamped the small leaf on the takeout box using Baked Brown Sugar.  The belly band is 1 1/2″ wide and has an extra piece along the bottom as 12″ was not long enough.  The one tag is made from Lost Lagoon and the Scallop Tag Topper and the other is the Note Tag Punch.  The leaves were done in pear Pizzazz, Lost Lagoon and the the last one was gold embossed on kraft.  Finally I add things finishing it off for the new Basic Gold Button and Linen thread.  SOOO AWESOME!!!

TakeOutBox3
