IM65 – Tea Time

It’s Monday again…hmmm…seems like one of these comes around once every 7 days.  We might need to do something about that!  Just kidding…I love Monday because it is time for another Inspiration!  Here’s the one for this week…

Now…I bet you’re thinking…oh…I think I can guess this one.  Well…hopefully this will be a little bit of a surprise…

This was one of those inspirations where I knew basically I knew I was going to use the gears but I didn’t want to go masculine with it.

Here’s the details…

  • Whisper White – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Whisper White – 4 x 5 1/4, run through the Tufted embossing folder, wrap two pieces of the Petal Pink Metallic ribbon around the panel and add to card front
  • Smoky Slate – cut out gear, add to card front
  • Silver Glimmer cut out 3 smaller gears, save inside circles, add to to the card front
  • Pear Pizzazz – stamp greeting using Memento Black, cut out using Classic Label punch
  • Whisper White – stamp larger rose and two smaller one – color using Blends:  Calypso Coral Light, Petal Pink Dark and Light, Mossy Meadow Light and Old Olive Light, cut everything out, add to card front (along with the 3rd Silver Glimmer gear) using dimensionals
  • Add the inside circles (plus some more cut out using 1/8″ hole punch) to card front along with some Grapefruit Grove Faceted Dots
  • Add some 1/8″ Silver Glimmer circles to the center of each small flower

Isn’t this just delightful!  Gears…not just for masculine cards!

Nothing but Neutrals

And it’s Saturday again! This week our theme is nothing by neutrals.  Well instead of adding some of the ‘colors’ that are in our neutral collection, I decided to really keep it just neutrals and go with a crumb cake/early espresso/whisper white theme.

This is actually the second card I made for this challenge.  I just wasn’t feeling my other one so decided I needed to do something different.  I like this one MUCH better!

Here’s the details…

  • Crumb Cake – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Whisper White – 4 x 5 1/2, cut out using the Delicate Lace Edgelits, add to card front
  • Crumb Cake – cut out 4 of the berry stems (Flourish Thinlits)
  • Early Espresso – cut out one of the 5 leaf stem (Flourish Thinlits), layer all together and add to card front
  • Crumb Cake – 3/8 x 1 7/8, stamp greeting using Early Espresso, cut into banner, add piece of Linen Trim behind it, fray edges, add to card front

Yep…that’s all there is to it!  And I got to use some things from the main catalog that have been ignored lately!

We have TWO GREAT COLLECTIONS for you that we just put out…

Christmas Tags

Time for another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop. This week we are featuring Christmas Tags.  Before you get to the tags…I need to make a confessions.  I had these done, and I was working on this post and when I was doing the recipe at the bottom, I realized the Sweet and Sassy (Heart) Framelits had been discontinued.  So I need to apologize for that.  You can always just substitute a circle if your don’t have these framelits or wait until the Occasions mini comes out…LOTS of hearts in there!

My other apology is that several of these items have been sold out.  We will NOT comment on that!  GRRRR!!!!!

Here’s some general details…

  • Grey Granite – 4 1/4 x 2, punch top using Scallop Tag Topper and corner round the bottoms, stamp greeting using Merry Merlot
  • Joyous Noel – cut out heart (or circle – just slightly wider than tag) for each.  LOVE this particular print!
  • For one cut out the large reindeer framelit in Whisper White for the other stamp the two small reindeer on Grey Granite using Versamark, white emboss, cut out
  • For the large reindeer add to tag, add Star Wire element then a flower in Merry Merlot
  • For the two small reindeer, add the Snowflake Wire element then add the two reindeer using dimensionals
  • Add a piece of the Merry Merlot/Copper Ribbon to the top of each and tie using the Copper Trim.

I just LOVE how pretty these turned out!
