Festival of Trees

TSSC345Yep it’s time for another Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.  LOVE the long narrow card and immediately had the idea for this card.  Silver and white is one of my favorite color combos for Christmas and a little touch of Cherry Cobbler is perfect!

Here’s the details…

  • Whisper White – 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 folded
  • Whisper White – 3 x 6 1/4
  • Silver Glimmer – 1 3/8 x 5 1/2, cut into banner and add
  • Silver Foil – 2 x 3 1/2 – add using dimensionals
  • Stamp greeting using Cherry Cobbler
  • Whisper White – punch out  2 1/2″ circle, add using dimensionals
  • Silver Glimmer – Tree punch (without trunk)
  • Silver Foil – Petite Pennants Build punch.

Festival of Trees

CCMC329I just can’t get enough of doing this fun tree embossed in silver and this look was perfect for the sketch challenge today on Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge!

Honestly I design my card not just using the sketch but using things (you got it) sitting on top of my desk!  The tree was actually complete done so I picked everything else to go with it!  LOL!!!

Here’s the details –

  • Whisper White – 4 /4 x 8 1/2 folded.  Run through the Lucky Stars embossing folder
  • Red diagonal print (Nordic Noel dsp) – 2 1/2 x 4 1/4, cut top on a diagonal and add to card front
  • Real Red 2 1/2 Circle and add to card front
  • Silver Glimmer – 2 pieces 4 1/4 x 1/2 and add to card front
  • Stamp tree using versamark and silver emboss, punch out using tree punch.  Stamp star, base, and bird using Real Red, punch/cut out and add to tree.  Bird is added using a dimensional.  Add tree to card front using dimensionals
  • Whisper White – 3/8 x 1 3/4, stamp greeting using Real Red, cut into banner and add using dimensionals
  • Add 3 different sizes of Basic Rhinestones to finish it off.

And don’t forget to head over to Create with Connie and Mary to check out what the design team did with this delightful challenge!

Festival of Trees

TSSC339What a fun sketch Mary Jo has for us for the Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.  I just couldn’t resist using this delightful dsp and the tree!

I am so loving the Festival of Trees set.  There are just so many different looks you can get from this set and then having fun ‘extras’ to add on is perfect.  This is a little different look with this set for me…but it is fun!

Here’s the details –

  • Pear Pizzazz – 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Snowy Print (All is Calm dsp) – 3 1/2 x 4 1/2.  Add to card front.
  • Add striped All is Calm Washi Tape to top and bottom
  • Stamp MERRY from the Cheerful Tags set using Real Red
  • Stamp tree using Pear Pizzazz/ Basic Grey and Lost Lagoon. Punch out.  Stamp star and base using Lost Lagoon and bird using Real Red.  Punch/cut out and add to tree.
  • Add tree to card front using dimensionals
  • Add snowflakes from Frosty Sequins to finish off.

TSSC339Such a GREAT CAS sketch!  Soooo many possibilities!  Don’t forget to check out the other members of the team and remember go to the Technostamper blog to play along!

Wk2SatHopFor my project this week (remember you have to be a subscriber to see it!) I used Festival of Trees.  I LOVE this little set!  A week or so ago I did a silver tinsel tree because it reminded me of a tree my grandma always put up at Christmas.  Well…I thought it would be fun to do another one of these.

I love doing this particular tree in silver since it does bring back that wonderful memory but it is just a fun image to use.  And I’ve sort of been into ‘tag’s lately so I put the tree together with a tag and here it is!

Here’s the details –

  • Brushed Silver – 3 1/2 x 11 folded
  • White/silver print (All is Calm dsp) – 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 and add to card front
  • Cherry Cobbler dsp print (Trim the Tree dsp paper stack) – 3 1/2 x 1 1/2 and add to card front
  • Silver Glimmer – 3/8 x 4 1/4 – cut ends on a diagonal and add to card front
  • Cherry Cobbler  – 2 x 4, punch top using Scallop Tag Topper, emboss greeting using White embossing powder
  • Silver Glimmer – 3/8 x 1 7/8, cut on a diagonal and add to card tag
  • Add White Organza ribbon to top and tie with Silver 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon.  Add tag to card front using dimensionals
  • Emboss tree using Silver embossing powder on Whisper White, punch out with Tree Punch
  • Stamp star, base an bird using Cherry Cobbler, cut/punch out and add to tree. (I added bird using dimensional.)  Add tree to tag using dimensionals
  • Add snowflakes and small silver sequins to finish off.

Festival of Trees

TSSC332When I saw the sketch for Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge this week, I couldn’t wait to use the Festival of Trees set with it.  I did change it up just a little bit but still pretty close to the sketch.

I thought the Mossy Meadow would be a GREAT color for the tree and paired up with gold…it is soooo pretty. This is one of the those that the photo really doesn’t do it justice!

Here’s the details

  • Mossy Meadow – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Whisper White AND Gold Vellum – 3 3/4 x 5.  Layer vellum over Whisper White.  I ‘hid’ the tape behind the gold circles then added panel to card front using dimensionals
  • Whisper White – 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 layer on Mossy Meadow 2 5/8 x 2 5/8.
  • Stamp greeting using Mossy Meadow
  • Add panel to card front using dimensionals
  • Gold Foil – 5/8 x 3 1/4, cut into a banner, run through the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder and add to card front.
  • Stamp tree using Mossy Meadow and Early Espresso.  Top with Embossing Buddy, stamp circles using Versamark and gold emboss.  Punch out using Tree Punch and add to card front using dimensionals.
  • Stamp star using versamark and gold emboss. Cut out and add to top of tree to finish it off.

TSSC332There is so many fun things you can do with this sketch.  The Festival of Trees set really was perfect with it!   Don’t forget to check out the other members of the team and remember go to the Technostamper blog to play along!
