Merry Mini Favor

I hope you have enjoyed my week of the Merry Mini set.  Well since the week is not over, I still have ONE MORE for you.

This is a fun little favor that I made to go with my card set.  We did this as a mnt at my workshop in October.  I got the idea from p 10 of the Holiday Mini.  It really is such a simple favor.  The base is the Fancy Favor box.  I score down 1 1/4” from the top and cut out all but the flap.  I added a piece of Whisper White under the flap so the decoration shows.  I did the 1 1/4” Scallop Circle in Champagne Glimmer and a 1” Whisper White Circle.  I stamped merry Christmas using Early Espresso on Lucky Limeade and punched out using Word Window punch.  I stamped the tree using Lucky Limeade and Early Espresso, punched with the mini Christmas tree punch and added using dimensionals.  I used half of a Velcro tab for the closure.

A Little Christmas Favor

This turned out sooooo cute, that I thought I’d make a little tutorial for you!

For the ‘box’ portion of the favor, use the fancy favor die.  The ‘height’ of the finished box is 2 1/8″ just so you do not need to cut out the full box. I think I used a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock so I could get two of these from a piece of cardstock.

Next cut a piece of designer series paper 12″ x 3″.  Put one end through the window framelit that fits the size of the paper.  Run it through the Big Shot.  I only went through to catch the part that would cut then backed it back out.

Put your box together.

Now start by applying to the front of the box, wrapped around the bottom and up the back like in the pictures.

Fold a print tag like this picture.

Add adhesive to the back like in this picture….make sure you DON’T put any on the top as you will slide the top of your dsp under the tag as your closure.
