Christmas Wishes

DSC01070I recently had a workshop and for my demo I wanted to show the Expressions Thinlits.  Since I just LOVE the look of the blue poinsettia (and since this set is ON SALE!!!) I thought I’d but the two things together.  What a great little card.

I did the poinsettia exactly the same way that I did it on this card, I just changed the rest of the card up.

But one of the really EXCITING things?  This is one of the sets that is ON SALE during the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Sale!

A Banner Christmas

SUO83So the SUO Challenge this time is favorite Sentiment Stamp and I sort of just went with favorite sentiment which, since Christmas is on my mind, my sentiment would be Merry Christmas!   Once I figured out what I wanted to do, this really came together quickly!  I do love these new expression thinlits!  There is nothing like fun polka dots to really make this card feel ‘merry’!

So…here’s the details…

  • Old Olive – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Whisper White – 3 1/2 x 4 3/4 layer on Cherry Cobbler 3 5/8 x 4 7/8.  Add to card base.
  • Punch out Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Silver Glimmer dots using the Bitty Circle Punch from the Bitty Punch Pack.
  • Cherry Cobbler 1 3/4 x 4 1/4.  Add to card.
  • Add adhesive backing to back of Silver Glimmer paper.  Run through Big Shot.  I add a shim under the bottom acrylic plate and a double layer of wax paper.  Add Merry to Cherry Cobbler piece.
  • Stamp CHRISTMAS using Early Espresso on Old Olive, cut into a banner, add White Button using Cherry Cobbler/White Baker’s Twine.  Add banner to card.

Check out what the rest of the SUO Challenge Design Team did, get inspired and join the fun!

Love

IC405I LOVE fall!  I love the crisp feel in the air and all the beautiful colors!  Today I was going through a Pinterest Inspiration Board and found this fabulous picture and just had to make a card!

Such an easy card it is!  The base of the card is Pumpkin Pie.  I took a piece of Very Vanilla, ran it through the Pretty Print Embossing Folder, layered on Early Espresso and added to the card base using dimensionals.  Next I cut out a Very Vanilla leaf from Autumn Accents, then used the smallest heart from the Heart Framelits, I sponged with Crushed Curry then Pumpkin Pie and added this to the card front.  I cut ‘love’ from Early Espresso added to the card front then added a couple of Basic Rhinestones to finish it off!  How easy is THAT!
