Merry Christmas

ChristmasMERRY CHRISTMAS everyone!  I hope that you are enjoying your day!

This is the Christmas card that I sent out this year.  Hopefully by now everyone has received theirs so I can show it here.  With school not finishing up until mid-December (I sure do miss having off from Thanksgiving through New Years!) I’m having a tough time getting things done…EEK!  So this year it needed to be nice and easy which is what this is.

Here’s the details:

  • Whisper White – 4 1/4 x 11 folded.
  • Whisper White – 4 1/4 x 3, run though the Decorative Dots (SAB) Embossing folder (LOVE how it looks like snow!).
  • Silver Glimmer – 1 x 3 cut into a ‘curvy’ line and added to the panel.  Add panel to card front using dimensionals.
  • Stamp tree in Versamark, silver emboss, cut out and add to card front using dimensionals.
  • Punch Star (Merry Mini punch pack) from Silver Glimmer, add to top of tree.
  • Stamp greeting (Christmas Tagables Photopolymer set) using Versamark, silver emboss, punch out with the 3/4″ Circle punch, add to card front using dimensionals

TSSC294TWO MORE DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!  oh my!!!  And since it is Monday, it is time for another Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge!  I will have to say…it sure is a different sketch this week and I will have to admit…I was stumped!

I sat down to work on the sketch and had some pieces left over from my Christmas card for this year (I’ll be posting that on Christmas day!) and thought if i turned the sketch upside down, changed the size, i could get it to work.

Here’s the details:

  • Whisper White: 3 1/2 x 10 folded (THIS IS NOTECARD SIZE!0
  • Whisper White: 3 1/2 x 4 1/4, run through the Decorative Dots (SAB) embossing folder and add to card front.
  • Add Silver glimmer 1/2 x 3 1/2 to the top and bottom.
  • Stamp loopy tree using Versamark on Whisper White, silver emboss, cut out and add using dimensionals.
  • Add silver Glimmer Star to top.
  • Stamp greeting using Versamark on Whisper White, Silver emboss, cut into a banner and add using dimensionals.

TSSC294So let’s see…I turned it upside down, changed the oval to a banner, made the top and bottom panels thinner, made the triangle into a tree.  Yep…exactly the same – lol!!!   Hope you can take a break from all the holiday celebrations and join the fun!  Don’t forget to check out the other members of the team and remember go to the Technostamper blog to play along!

Oh…what a wonderful challenge we have for you on Create with Connie and Mary this week!  Last year we did a White and Silver challenge and it was just beautiful.  So this year we are doing a Very Vanilla and Champagne Glimmer challenge!

I decided to make a little winter scene for you using these two colors.  The base of the card is Very Vanilla.  I took another piece of Very Vanilla, rand it through the Polka Dotted Embossing Folder and added to the card front using dimensionals.  I punched a 2 1/2 Champagne Glimmer circle and added to the card front.  Next I ripped some Very Vanilla and Champagne Glimmer strips to make the ‘snow’. I stamped the the loopy tree 3 times in Versamark, gold embossed, and cut out.  I added the two bottom ones directly to the card front and the top one using dimensionals.  I added some 1/4″ Champagne Glimmer circles as decorations and embossed the star in gold then punched with the start Merry Minis punch.  Finally I embossed the greeting in gold on Very Vanilla, punched with the large oval then added to the card using dimensionals to finish it off.

Set(s): Evergreen, More Merry Messages
Paper: Very Vanilla, Champagne Glimmer
Ink: Versamark
Other: Gold Embossing Powder, Large Oval Punch, Merry Minis Punch Pack, 2 1/2″ Circle Punch, 1/4″ Circle Punch, Polka Dotted Embossing Powder, Dimensionals

The samples from the design team are just GORGEOUS so make sure you check them out!  Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!

Now nothing is better than a glittery Christmas card and the SUO Challenge this time is do glitter!  Now when it comes to glitter I DO NOT LIKE THE LOOSE STUFF!!!  It drives me NUTS as it gets into EVERYTHING!!!  But I do LOVE the Glimmer Paper and I featured that on this pretty Christmas card (and speaking of Glimmer…come back Thursday for another cool glimmer card!)

So the base of the card is Whisper White.  I took another piece of Whisper White, ran it through the Lacey Brocade Embossing Folder and added to the card front.  Next I added two strips of the Silver Glimmer Paper.  I took a piece of Whisper White, ran the top part through the Apothecary Accents Framelit, stamped the loopy tree from Evergreen and Silver Embossed, added a Silver Glimmer Star (Merry Mini Punch Pack), then added a ‘bow’ (click on my tutorial link above) made from Whisper White Organza Ribbon and a Silver Glimmer Brad.   The panel is added to the card front using dimensionals.  I stamped the greeting in versamark, silver embossed, punched with the Modern Label Punch and added to the card front using dimensionals to finish it off.

Set(s): Evergreen, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Whisper White, Silver Glimmer
Ink: Versaark
Other: Silver Embossing Powder, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Whisper White Organza Ribbon, Basic Glimmer Brad, Modern Label Punch, Lacey Brocade Embossing Folder, Dimensionals

I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday season so far!  When it comes to holiday cards, my very favorite color combination EVER is simple…white/silver.  Yep…that really just does it for me!  The CAS challenge on SCS is a fabulous sketch challenge.  The sketch was actually a square but when I decided to use this tree I needed to go with a regular sized card.  This is one simple card!

The base of the card is Whisper White.  I used the Delicate Designs Embossing folder (sort of looks like snowflakes) for a little interest in the background.  I made a notch in the top and wrapped around a piece of Whisper White Organza ribbon…the end are on the front and hidden behind the tree.  Next I embossed the loopy tree with Silver embossing powder on a piece of Whisper White.  I added this is a strip of Silver Glimmer.  Next I made a ‘bow’ (click the tutorial link above to see how I make my bows) using White Organza and Basic Glimmer Brads.  I added this to the strip then added the tree/silver strip to the card front using dimensionals.  I stamped embossed the greeting also in silver, cut into a banner and added using dimensionals and glue dots.  I finished things off with a Silver Glimmer star on the top of the tree!

Set(s): Evergreen, More Merry Messages
Paper: Whisper White, Silver Glimmer
Ink: Versamark
Other: Silver Embossing Powder, Basic Glimmer Brads, Whisper White Organza Ribbon, Delicate Designs Embossing Folder, Merry Minis Punch Pack, Dimensionals

And I couldn’t resist it one last time!  (And I still have some of the dsp left…hehehehehe!)  And look…I actually managed to use another print from that pack!  There was this GREAT sketch on The Paper Players today so I just HAD to join the fun!

As always some quick notes on my card…the base of the card is Lucky Limeade.  I took a piece of the Early Espresso print, layered it onto Very Vanilla then added the card base using dimensionals.  Next I took a piece of my very favorite print, added Very Vanilla Ribbon Lace punches to the to and bottom and added to the card front.  Next up was a piece of the Champagne Glimmer, cut into a banner added to strips of Very Vanilla just for a little contrast and added to the card front.  I took a 2 3/8″ Lucky Limeade Scallop Circle, sponged the edges in Lucky Limeade and added to the card front using dimensionals.  The tree was stamped in Lucky Limeade then the Loopy tree was embossed in gold on top, punched with a 1 3/4″ Circle Punch, layered onto an Early Espresso circle then to the card front using dimensionals.  I did a Champagne Glimmer star (Merry Mini punch) added with a glue dot.  Finally I stamped the first two lines of the greeting in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla, cut with Bitty Banner Framelit then layered onto a Lucky Limeade banner and added to the card front to finish it off.

Set(s): Evergreen
Paper: Very Vanilla, Lucky Limeade, Early Espresso, Champagne Glimmer, Candlelight Christmas dsp
Ink: Lucky Limeade, Early Espresso, Versamark
Other: Ribbon Lace Punch, 2 3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/4″ Circle Punch, Merry Mini Star Punch, Bitty Banners Framelits, Gold Embossing Powder, Coluzzle, Dimensionals

Evergreen AGAIN

Can you tell that I LOVE this set?  And I particularly LOVE this set with this dsp?  I found this new challenge site CAS(E) this Sketch and just LOVED the challenge sketch and HAD to join in!

The base of the card is Very Vanilla.  I took a piece of the dsp and punched a 2 1/2″ hole in it.  I added an Early Espresso Large Scallop Edge and a strip of Champagne Glimmer paper, then attached to the card base.  I punched out a 2 3/8″ Early Espresso Scallop and added to the card front.  Next I stamped the tree in Lucky Limeade then embossed the loopy tree on top in gold, punched with the 1 3/4″ circle punch, added to a Champagne Glimmer circle.  I made a bow (click tutorial link above to access tutorial) using Very Vanilla Seam Binding and a Gold Brad, added to the circle than added circle to card front using dimensionals.  I stamped the first two lines from the greeting using Early Espresso on Very Vanilla, cut with Bitty Banner Framelit, layered on Champagne Glimmer banner (same framelit) then to card front using dimensionals and glue dots.  What a fun little card!
