Easter Bunny

Well here it is the second Saturday in March and time for another Create with Connie and Mary Design Team for the Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is Easter Treat!

Isn’t he just cute!  I decided to build a bunny on the top of the Cutie Pie box and think he turned out so cute!

Here’s the details…

  • Whisper White THICK – cut out two of the Cutie Pie Thinlits, sponge edges with Crumb Cake and put together
  • Bunny arms – Whisper White THICK – two extra large ovals, sponge Crumb Cake
  • Bunny feet – Whisper White THICK – two extra large ovals and two large Blushing Bride Ovals, sponge with Crumb Cake, layer and add
  • Bunny ears – two extra large ovals Whisper White THICK and two large Blushing Bride Ovals, sponge with Crumb Cake, layer
  • Bunny head – 2″ circle (I cut two and add one to back after I add ears, sponge using Crumb Cake
  • Eyes are 1/2″ circle Tempting Turquoise (cut 2) Whisper White ( 1 and cut in half), sponge Crumb Cake, Basic Black 1/4″ (cut 2), layer add to face, draw month, Blushing Bride Candy dot for nose.
  • Layer ears behind circle and cover back with the other 2″ circle, add to triangle box.
  • Stamp greeting on Blushing Bride using Basic Black, punch out with Washi Tape punch, add bow clip to to and add using dimensionals.
  • Don’t forget to add a tail – 7/8″ Scallop Circle – Blushing Bride, add Crystal Button, add to back of box

SPRING HAS ARRIVED…well at least with the Create with Connie and Mary Design Team for the Saturday Blog Hop!  This week our theme is Happy Easter and I have a fun Easter card for you!

You know…I have to say…I really had no intentions of buying this stamp but then I had decided to use it for my card set for the February Mini Session of Create with Connie and Mary.  Since then I’ve used it for a couple of cards (like my baby card for last Saturday’s hop) and have to say…it’s just so dang CUTE!

Here’s the details…

  • Blushing Bride – 4 1/4 x 11 folded, stamp greeting using Basic Black Archival
  • Birthday Bouquet dsp – pick 3 prints:  confetti – 1 x 3 1/2, Blushing Bride striped – 7/8 x 3 1/2, Mint Macaron dotted – 1 1/4 x 3 1/2; add all to the card front
  • Silver Glimmer – 1/4 x 4 1/4, add to card front
  • Whisper White – stamp lamb using Basic Black Archival, cut out using largest tag from the Tags and Labels framelits, color using Blushing Bride, Smoky Slate, Mint Macaron, add tag to card front
  • I punched out two Bitty Banners – Mint Macaron and Watermelon Wonder, then cut the sides of each on a slant, add to tag
  • Tie Whisper White Baker’s Twine in medium Blushing Bride Button, add to tag to finish off

Balloon Builders

SUOEasterWell…it’s time again for another SUO challenge and we have a fun challenge for you this this…Easter Fun!  What what is more fun at Easter than a bunch of Jelly Beans!

Okay…I’ll be honest here…the only reason I got the Balloon Builders set was so I could make Jelly Beans for easy.  No really!  (Hmm…maybe I’ll need to try to use some of the other stamps too!)

Here’s the details…

  • Whisper White – 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Mint Macaron Envelop paper – 1/2 x 4 1/4, add to card front
  • Whisper White – 2 1/8 x 4 1/4, stamp ‘jelly beans’ using Mint Macaron, Blushing Bride, and Watermelon Wonder, add to card front
  • Watermelon Wonder – 1/8 x 4 1/4, add to card front
  • Blushing Bride – largest Tags and Labels framelit
  • Whisper White – next largest Tags and Labels framelit, stamp jelly bean in Mint Macaron, Blushing Bride and Watermelon Wonder, stamp greeting (Easter Lamb) in Basic Grey.  Add to Blushing Bride label using dimesnional and then to card front using dimensionals
  • Add some Basic Rhinestones to finish off

Can you believe it…it’s the LAST Saturday in February and we have a GREAT challenge for our Create with Connie and Mary Design Team for the Saturday Blog Hop – Bundle of Joy…cards for Babies!

I really don’t have any ‘baby’ sets so I decide the ADORABLE little Easter Lamb would work GREAT paired with this saying…

  • Mint Macaron – 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Confetti print – 3 7/8 x 3 7/8 add to card front
  • Blushing Bride – 3 3/4 x 3 /4; stamp greeting using Basic Grey Archival, punch out 1 1/2″ circle
  • Stamp lamb using Basic Black Archival – color using Smoky Slate and Blushing Bride markers – cut out, add behind circle and add panel to card front using dimensionals
  • Mint Macaron print – 5/8 x 2, cut sides on slant
  • Multicolor Dot print – 1 x 1 3/4, cut sides on slant, layer, add bow paper clip, trim along top and add using dimensionals
