Bright Blossoms

The colors for the challenge were Raspberry Ripple, Old Olive and Midnight Muse.  The base of the card is Whisper White. I used one of the images from the piercing kit in the Holiday Mini to create the bottom pierced frame then added the Whisper White Apothecary Accents framelit image using dimensionals.  I stamped the image in the three colors, cut out and added using dimensionals.  I inked the greeting in the Raspberry Ripple and Midnight Muse, cut out with the Bitty Banner framelit and added and Old Olive framelit behind it.  This is added using dimensionals to finish it

Bright Blossoms

Just some fast notes…The base of the card is 6 1/2 x 3 1/4 Daffodil Delight.  I took a piece of Whisper White, stamped the greeting in Basic Black and added to the card base.  I cut a strip of the Summer Smooches Tangerine dsp, layered a Lucky Limeade Lace Border behind it then added to the card front.  I stamped the leaves in Lucky Limeade, the tulip in Tangerine Tango and the dotted flower in Daffodil Delight.  I punched using the 1″ Circle Punch, added some Brights Brads, and added to the card front using dimensionals.

Bright Blossoms

Oh this is one of those sweet and simple sketches that I just love!  The favorite thing about simple sketches they can easily be dressed up if you want a little more or you can keep it simple for a nice clean look.  Since we are having the Summer Smooches promotion right now, I thought it would be fun to use that set and paper again.  I had seen a really fun card on Dawn O (dostamping) site using this color scheme and thought it would be perfect for Mary Jo’s sketch.

This really is a quick and easy card.  The base of the card is Lucky Limeade.  I added the Rich Razzleberry print from the Summer Smooches dsp pack and rounded all four corners.  I wrapped a piece of Rich Razzleberry 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain ribbon around it just to finish off that edge.  Next I cut out the panels, rounded some corners, and stamped the double leaf in Lucky Limeade and the flower in Rich Razzleberry.  On the two ‘side’ panels I popped out the green rhinestones from some ‘ice’ rhinestone brads and added those to the panels before adding to the card front using dimensionals.  For the middle panel I stamped the greeting in Basic Black and added that panel using dimensionals too.  See just a fun, bright, quick and easy card!

Bright Blossoms

Happy April 1st everyone!  No…this is not an April Fool’s post but a peek at the new Summer Smooches Suite that is available this month and most of it available in the NEW CATALOG!  The control freaks did a swap with the ‘stuff’ from the suite and this my swap card.

I love the bright, crisp look of this and it was one of those that was so easy to do!  The base of the card is the Clear Scallop Square die.  I folded on piece and ran it through to form the base (remember the fold goes under the cut line) and then a full one on top.  I did these in Real Red.  Next I took a piece of Whisper White and ran it through the Stripes Embossing folder, did a scallop edge in Lucky Limeade, layered under a piece of the Summer Smooches dsp (the red polka dotted print), added along the bottom of the Whisper White panel, layered onto Daffodil Delight then onto the card front.  Next I stamped the double leaf using Lucky Limeade and the tulip using Real Red and Daffodil Delight markers.  Stamped this three times on Whisper White, punched with the 1″ Square punch, layered on Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Lucky Limeade Postage Stamp Punch.  I added the Real Red and Lucky Limeade ones to the panel.  I added a small yellow rhinestone brad to the yellow one and added to the card front using dimensionals.  I stamped the greeting using Real Red on Whisper White, cut into a banner and added to the card front using dimensionals and glue dots
