Butterfly Basics

TSSC357As soon as I saw the sketch this week for the Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge I knew EXACTLY what I was going to do with it!

One of things that I bought in my first order was the Artisan Embellishment Kit.  Now this is not my ‘usual’ things that I use when making cards but I thought it would be some fun things to work with.  I’ve only used it on a couple things…but they are fun!

Here’s the details –

  • Blushing Bride – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Blushing Bride – 4 x 3 1/4, run through the Spring Flower embossing folder and add to card front.
  • Stamp greeting using Blackberry Bliss on card front.
  • Cut end off doily from the kit and add to card front.
  • Dotted print from Painted Blooms dsp – 4 x 1 1/8.  Weave the Blackberry velvet ribbon (from the kit) through the Rose Red lace (in the kit), wrap around the dsp and add to card front.
  • Stamp the lace butterfly using Blackberry Bliss on Whisper White, cut out using butterfly framelit and add to the card front.
  • Add some Basic Rhinestones to finish it off.

TSSC357See wasn’t this sketch perfect for using with the kit?  I thought so…I hope you can join the fun!    Don’t forget to check out the other members of the team and remember go to the Technostamper blog to play along!

Celebrate Today

TSSC356Yep…time for another fun Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge and I decided to ‘celebrate’ with some fun balloons!

I thought that print from Best Year Ever SAB dsp sort of looked like confetti so I thought using that and adding balloons would be fun for the sketch this week.

And yes…I was crazy enough to cut out those streamers for the balloons – you do know I like to cut things out!

Here’s the details –

  • Coastal Cabana – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Best Year Ever (SAB) dsp – 3 1/2 x 1 1/4.  Cut out three and add to card front.
  • Stamp solid balloon using Crushed Curry then add the confetti using Soft Sued.  Stamp Happy balloon using Calypso Coral then add birthday using Soft Suede.  Cut out balloons using framelits.  Stamp streamers using Soft Streamers cut out and add behind balloons.  Add Crushed Curry balloon using single dimensionals and Calypso Coral balloon using double layer of dimensionals.
  • Add some Basic Rhinestones to finish it off.

Such a GREAT sketch…I hope you can join the fun!    Don’t forget to check out the other members of the team and remember go to the Technostamper blog to play along!

Sheltering Tree

TSSC354I have been wanting to play with my new set Sheltering Tree for some time now and the sketch for Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch challenge is really just PERFECT!!!  What a great simple sketch if you have a large image you want to use.

I also needed a sympathy card for a friend and when I was thinking about doing this card, I wanted to make it so I could send it to my friend who recently lost her sister.

Here’s the details –

  • Whisper White – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Stamp tree trunk using Sahara Sand, add large leaves image using Wild Wasabi.  I used the little ‘snowflake’ looking image to add additional ‘leaves’ in Garden Green and Mossy Meadow.  Stamp greeting using Memento Black.  So the swish in Pistachio Pudding on the bottom
  • Gold Soiree dsp (green dotted print) – 1 1/4 x 4 1/4.  Add to the bottom
  • Gold Soriee dsp (gold/white diagonal) – 1/8 x 4 1/4.  Add to the top of the green print.
  • Green dotted print – 1 x 1 3/4, cut into a banner and add.  Gold Diagonal print – 3/4 x 1 1/4, cut into a banner and add.
