Favorite New Accessory

And it’s Saturday again! This week our theme for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Hop is to use our favorite new accessory from the annual catalog!  I picked the Hues of Happiness DSP and Glossy Dots – LOVE the Glossy Dots!

Here’s the details…

  • Blushing Bride – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Basic Whit e- 3 x 4 1/4, add to card front
  • Hues of Happiness DSP (multicolor print) – 1 x 5 1/2, add to card front
  • Hues of Happiness DSP (red/yellow flower print) – cut out 3 large flowers in different colors, cut out 3 double leaves, layer, add to card front using dimensionals
  • Early Espresso – 5/8 x 4 1/4, stamp greeting in Versamark, white emboss add to card front using dimensionals
  • add some medium pink Glossy Dots to finish off

  • Crumb Cake – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Crumb Cake – 4 x 5 1/4, run top third through the Splatters Embossing Folder, add to card front
  • Blushing Bride – 1 x 5 1/2, add the film strip edge from the Blooming Happiness Dies, add to card front
  • Tahitian Tide – 3 x 4, add to card front
  • Incolor DSP – Sweet Sorbet dotted – 3 x 3 3/4, add to card front on an angle
  • Basic White – cut out Stitched Circle (Stylish Shapes dies), ad to card front using dimensionals
  • Basic White – stamp chair with dog in Smoky Slate, color with Blend, cut out, add to card front using dimensionals – note…I traced around the dog with the fine point of the Basic Grey Marker so that it would stand out more
  • Blushing Bride – stamp greeting in Memento Black, cut out with Stitched Banner, tie a bow in the 1/8″ Sweet Sorbet Metallic Woven Ribbon, add behind banner, add banner to card front using diemsnionals
  • Add some of the light blue Glossy Dots to finish off

  • Basic White – 4 x 5 1/4, run through the Timeless Type Embossing Folder, add to card front
  • Hand-Penned DSP – Floral print – 1 3/4 x 4 1/2, add to card front, green stripe print – 1 1/4 x 4 1/4, add to card front
  • Hand-Penned DSP – Papaya dotted print – 2 x 2
  • Basic White – cut out one of the Floral Square Dies, add to Papaya print, add to card front using dimensionals
  • Misty Moonlight – 1/2 x 2 1/2, stamp greeting (Sweet as a Peach) in Versamark, white emboss, cut into banner, add to card front using diemsionals
  • Add some Genial Gems to finish off

Easter Favor

And it’s Saturday again! This week our theme for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Hop is to make an Easter favor.  I like using our pre-made boxes for these…makes it nice and easy!  The mini paper pumpkin boxes are such a nice size and perfect to give some a chocolate Easter Bunner!

Here’s the details…

  • Put together a mini Paper Pumpkin Box
  • Hand-Penned DSP – Papaya print 5 1/2 x 11, wrap around box and trim extra off flap
  • Hand-Penned DSP – Mint striped print – 2 x 3 3/4, add to box top
  • Basic White – 2 3/4 x 4 – stamp duck in Memento Black, color with Blends, stamp grass in Just Jade, add to box top
  • Mint Macaron – 1 1/2 x 2 3/4, stamp HAPPY in Just Jade and Easter in Memento Black, cut into banner, add to box using dimensionals
  • Basic White – stamp chick in Memento Black, color with Blends, cut out add to box using dimensionals
  • Hand-Penned DSP – Blushing print – 3/4 x 1, purple print – 3/4 x 3/4, cut both into banner, add to box
  • Add a couple of Adhesive Backed Jade Hexagons to finish off
  • Stamp a piece of tissue paper using the chick in Daffodil Delight, crumple inside box, add bunny and some jelly beans

  • Balmy Blue – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
  • You’re a Peach DSP – from the blue prints, cut out FOUR each 1 1/8 x 1 1/8
  • Basic White – 3 7/8 x 5, add the DSP squares, add to card front
  • Pear Pizzazz – 1 x 5 1/4, stamp greeting in Memento Black, cut into banner on both ends, add to card front using dimensionals
  • Basic White – stamp bunny in Memento Black, Color with Smoky Slate and Flirty Flamingo Blends, cut out and add to card front using dimensionals
  • Black/White Gingham ribbon – color a piece with Balmy Blue marker, tie into small bow, add to bunn
  • Add some dark blue small Holiday Rhinestones to finish off

Just so you all know…Connie and I had NO IDEA our cards were sooooo similar!  We have been known to do this occasionally!  LOL!!!

  • All Together DSP – 3 x 5, cut on the diagonal, add to white
  • Basic Black – 3 3/4 x 5, add white panel, add to card front
  • Basic White – stamp large image in Memento Black, cut out, add to card front using dimensionals
  • Basic Black – 1 x 3 – stamp greeting in Versamark, white emboss, cut into banner, add to card front using dimensionals
  • Add some small Black Classic Matte Dots to finish off

  • Basic White – 3 3/4 x 5, add to card front
  • Just Jade – cut out large detailed leaf, add to card front
  • Shaded Spruce – cut out medium detailed leaf, add to card front
  • Mint Macaron – stamp greeting in Memento Black, punch out using the Label Me Fancy punch, add to card front using dimensionals
  • Basic White – stamp dragonfly 2 times in Memento Black, color using Mint Macaron Blends, punch out, add Wink of Stella to wings, add to card front
  • Add some green Genial Gems to finish off

Monochromatic Cards

And it’s Saturday again! This week our theme for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Hop is to make a monochromatic card with just one color and white – I went with Fresh Freesia!

Here’s the details…

  • Basic White – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Fresh Freesia – 3 3/4 x 5, add to card front
  • Pansy Petals DSP – Freesia Gingham print – 3 1/4 x 5 1/2, add Fresh Freesia ribbon around panel then add to card front
  • Fresh Freesia – use solid Butterfly from the Butterflies and Flowers masks and add Fresh Freesia ink to create solid base, tap generously with the embossing buddy, now layer the detailed butterfly over and sponge Versamark, remove mask, add white embossing powder, heat emboss, cut out and add to card front
  • Basic White – cut out the bottom layer of thanks and Fresh Freesia for the details thanks, layer and add to card front using dimensionals
  • Add some Polished Dots to finish off

  • Night of Navy – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Basic White – 2 1/4 x 5 1/4, cut into banner, add to card front
  • Night of Navy – 3 1/4 x 4, cut out cut in card stock, lay on paper and sponge Versamark into it, add white embossing powder, stamp all other images in Versamark, white emboss
  • Layer onto Basic White 3 3/8 x 4 1/8, add to card front using dimensionals

Yep…that’s all there is to this one!
