Pop-Up Surprise

It’s that time again…another Create with Connie and Mary Design Team Saturday Blog Hop.  Our theme this week is Pop Up Surprise…create a pop up surprise INSIDE your card.  Although I LOVE the way my card turned out…I have to say…it took me FOREVER TO MAKE!

Here’s the details…

  • Whisper White THICK – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Whisper White – 3 3/4 x 5, run through Softly Falling Embossing folder, layer onto Gold Glimmer 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 (I cut out the center so that it sticks better, add to card front using dimensionals.
  • Gold Glimmer – Cut out the snowflake border from Swirly Snowflakes sentiments, cut them apart then add to card front
  • Whisper White – stamp greeting, gold emboss, punch out using Everyday Label Punch, add using dimensionals

And now for the inside…

Here’s the details…

  • Whisper White – 5 x 7 1/2 folded
  • Bottom pop up – make piece so that it is 1″ deep and 3/4″ high, add to inside
  • Top pop up – make piece so it is 1/2″ deep and 3/4″ high, add to inside
  • Whisper White -cut out the two different Hometown Greetings Edgelits, add Gold Glimmer behind houses and cut out Gold Glimmer trees and add on top, cut out some of the very small stars in Gold Glimmer and add
  • Gold Glimmer – 1/4 x 5, add to bottom inside
  • Whisper White – stamp greeting and small swirly thingy, gold emboss, punch out and add to inside bottom to finish off.

I LOVE the way this turned out…but it took FOREVER!  I think though I just finished my sister’s Christmas card!  1 down!
