Fresh Fruit

Here’s another one of those sets that I really like and managed to dig it out while I was getting things put together for my move.

Although I really like all the images in this set but the flowers are just so much fun. Again I was playing with the A Little Foxy dsp. It’s not just for foxy and critters of the forrest!

This is just such a happy card and it would brighten anyone’s day!

Here’s the details…

Pool Party – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
Smoky Slate/White print – 3 5/8 x 4 7/8, layer onto Dapper Denim 3 3/4 x 5, add to card front
Calypso Coral strip dsp – 1 x 4, add to card front
Dapper Denim – 1/8 x 4 1/4, add to card front
Whisper White – cut out Stitched Circle, stamp greeting using Dapper Denim, add to card front using dimensionals
Whisper White – stamp 2 large flowers in Pool Party, 3 small flowers in Calypso Coral, leaves in Wild Wasabi and all flower centers in Dapper Denim, cut out everything and add to card front

What a happy card and I have the perfect person in mind to get this!

You guessed it…it is Thursday and time for another Create with Connie and Mary inspiration! This week is a fun and easy sketch.

With the end of the catalog soon to happen, I’m trying to use sets that I KNOW will retire (like the hostess sets) or that I THINK will retire. This is just such a fun little set and I didn’t use it near enough.

Here’s the details…

Daffodil Delight – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
Fruit Stand dsp – 4 1/4 x 4 1/4
Whisper White – 1/2 x 4 1/4 – cut TWO, add one behind each side of dsp panel and add to card front.
Basic Black – 1/2 x 5, add to card front
Whisper White – stamp arrow and greeting and three bees using Memento Black. Add arrow using dimensionals. Color bees using Basic Black and Daffodil Delight markers, add clear Wink of Stella to wings , add to card front.
Add some Basic Rhinstones to finish off

Beautiful You

So I had this idea for a quick and easy card using one of my favorite sets – Beautiful You! I wanted to do a ‘watercoloring’ kind of card and since I’m not all that good at watercoloring I used the technique where you wet the paper (LOVE using the Shimmery White for this) then stamping an image (I used one from Happy Celebrations) and let it fun for that watercolor look! Although this is a quick and easy look…you do have to make sure your ‘watercoloring’ is nice and dry before you do do the stamping on top of it!

Here’s the details…

Shimmery White – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
Shimmery White – 3 3/4 x 5, wet the paper and stamp the one image from Happy Celebrations in Flirty Flamingo, Peek-a-boo Peach, Daffodil Delight, Cucumber Crush, Pool Party (and finish with Flirty Flamingo again). Set aside and let dry (I waited over night).
Stamp image and greeting using Memento Black, add panel to card front using dimensionals
Take the backing off 5 small Perfect White Accents and add using Tombow Glue

Special Reason

So life right now is just a bit complex. We just purchased a new home and are in the process of moving. We aren’t just moving, we are downsizing…it’s complex.

But the SUO challenge theme this month is simple – sympathy and caring. The With Sympathy stamp from Flourishing Phrases is so beautiful and I wanted to pair it with Special Reason. This is what I came up with.

Here’s the details…

So Saffron – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
Whisper White – stamp greeting using Crumb Cake
5/8″ Burlap Ribbon – fold in loops stapling loops together, add to card front
Whisper White – stamp flower using So Saffron and leaves in Crumb Cake, cut out and add to car front using dimensionals
Crumb Cake – cut out flower center using framelit, sponge Crumb Cake around edges and add to center of flower

I just love the simple look of this.

Birthday Blast

OH MY WORD…IT’S HERE! MOVE DAY! Rand and I have been purging and packing like crazy and today is it. The movers are coming this morning and we are heading down to Centerville (about 1/2 hour from where we have been living for the last 26 years. I’m heading out early with the little doggies. I want to get them settled into our 3 Seasons Room so they will mostly be out of the way once the movers get there with all our ‘stuff’.

So here’s a quick and easy card for you…

Pool Party – 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 folded
Silver Glimmer – cut TWO 1/4 x 4 1/4, add both to card front
Pool Party – 3 5/8 x 4 7/8, stamp image using Pool Party, layer onto Watermelon Wonder – 3 3/4 x 5, add to card front using dimensionals
Silver Glimmer – cut out stars using the Star Blast Edgelit, add to card front
Whisper White – 1 x 3 1/2, stamp greeting using Watermelon Wonder, cut into a banner, add to card front
Add some Star and Dots Silver Metallic Enamel Shapes to finish off

I really like little 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 cards. It’s just such a fun size to design with. Sometimes I get on kicks where I do a bunch of these but it has been a while since I have.

I wanted to use the cute little flower image from the the That’s the Tag set so this little card size was just perfect for it. It think it turned out really sweet!

Here’s the details…

Whisper White – 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 folded
Whisper White – stamp flowers twice using Memento Black, color using Melon Mambo, Dapper Denim, Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron, Cut out
Whisper White – 3 5/8 x 3 3/8, stamp greeting using Melon Mambo and Dapper Denim
Dapper Denim, 1/8 x 3 1/4, cut on slant, add to card front
Melon Mambo diagonal print – 3/8 x 2 7/8, cut on slant, add to card front
Melon Mambo – 3 3/4 x 3 3/4, layer behind Whisper White Panel then add to card front using dimensionals
Add flowers using dimensionals
Add Silver Metallic Enamel Dots to finish off

Spring Flowers

We had so much rain in March and the weather was so warm that we are having terrific Spring Flowers! And that is the theme for this week’s Create with Connie and Mary Design Team Blog Hop.

I just LOVE flower stamps and I REALLY love the Special Reason set!

Now doesn’t this just make you smile? I know it did me! Here’s the details…

Whisper White – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
Whisper White – 3 3/4 x 5
Whisper White – stamp large flower with Peek-a-boo Peach and second with Peek-a-boo Peach with Tangerine Tango sponged in the middle and other with Flirty Flamingo and second with Flirty Flamingo with Melon Mambo sponged in the middle, stamp leaves in Pear Pizzazz, cut everything out with matching framelits and inside flower by hand, layer everyting and add to card front (pink flower added using dimensionals)
Stamp greeting using Night of Navy, add panel to card front using dimensionals
Add Night of Navy Enamel dots
Night of Navy – cut out TWO flower centers using Stylish Stems thinlet, add to flower centers

Tin of Cards

I was in the mood to do a splatter type card. I love the new splatters in the Happy Celebrations set but I also LOVE the Gorgeous Grunge set. The two really work so nicely together.

I started putting these two splatters together and thought this ended up being such a fun card! I’ve really been into the Peek-a-boo Peach color (note to self…order more cardstock) and paired it up with Real Red and Basic Black for a fun look!

Here’s the details…

Peek-a-boo Peach – 3 3/4 x 11 folded
Real Red Diagonal Stripe – 3 /4 x 3 3/4, add to bottom of card front
Basic Black – 1/2 x 3 3/4, add to card front
Whisper White – 3 1/2 x 4 1/4, stamp larger splatter using Peek-a-boo Peach, smaller splatter using Real Red and greeting using Memento Black, add to card front
Add some Silver Metallic Enamel Stars to finish off

Happy Thursday everyone! OH MY WORD…things are getting a bit nuts here at my house. We have closed on our new home and have taken possession of it. Now just to get all of our stuff moved into it next week – EEK!

This week is a cool color combo – Sahara Sand, So Saffron, Peek-a-boo Peach. This is just soooooo pretty together. I hadn’t played with my Painter’s Palette set in awhile and it was the perfect set for this challenge!

Here’s the details…

Peek-a-boo Peach – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
Whisper White – 3 1/2 x 4 3/4, stamp largest swish in Peek-a-boo Peach, medium one in So Saffron and smaller one in Sahara Sand, layer onto Sahara Sand – 3 5/8 x 4 7/8, add to card front using dimensionals
Whisper White – stamp greeting using Basic Black, So Saffron and Peek-a-boo Peach markers, cut out using square stitched framelit, add using dimensionals
Add So Saffron, Peek-a-b00 Peach and Silver Metallic Enamel Stars to finish off

As I’m packing up all my stuff (DANG…I have A LOT of stamping stuff) I’m trying to use some different things instead of just the things form the Occasions mini. I saw my Sunshine Sayings sitting there and decided to do a quick card to share with you all.

I’ve been really having fun playing with the A Little Foxy ds paper stack!

Here’s the details…

Pink Pirouette – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
Smoky Slate print – 3 3/4 x 5 layer onto Whisper Whit e- 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 add to card front using dimensionals
Whisper White – cut out heart and add to card front
Stamp greeting using Memento Black
Flirty Flamingo – cut out hope and add using dimensionals
Had some heart silver metallic enamel shapes to finish off
