Nothing but Words

CreateFA15HopWelcome

Oh do we have a fun challenge for the Create with Connie and Mary Design Team Saturday Blog Hop – Nothing But Words – using a words stamp as the main focus of our project.

For my project I decided to go a little different direction than probably the other design team members.  As soon as I saw this challenge I thought of this card that I made back in February 2014.  It was one of my favorites and I thought it would be fun to update it with some of our current stuff.

It’s this fun!  I think it really does feature the words…but instead of it being the focal greeting, it is the background!  It really is a fun card…

  • Whisper White THICK – 4 1/4 x 11 folded, corner round the bottom left.
  • Whisper White – 3 3/4 x 5, corner round the bottom left, stamp greeting using Dapper Denim, Mint Macaron, and Perfect Plum.  The great thing about using the Photopolymer stamps is that is makes placement so easy!
  • Basic Black – cut out umbrella and handle.  I want the rod of the umbrella to be a little long so I did split it and extended it on the back.  Add to card front using dimensionals.
  • Add some Silver Metallic Dots to finish it off.

Now to send this to a friend of mine who has been a bit ‘under the weather!

Set(s): Tin of Cards
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink: Dapper Denim, Mint Macaron, Perfect Plum
Other: Umbrella Weather Framelits, Metallic Enamel Shapes, Corner Rounder, Dimensionals

Remember to use the badges below to go backward (previous) to my friend Connie Babbert or forward (next) to the very talented Nicole Tugrul.

Love the ideas with just words. This is adorable! I don’t have the umbrella, but imagine other shapes would do the trick, too.

  3. ‘Just Because’ I think think this a great card!!!
