I like to work ahead on my challenges (you know…it’s the full time work thing that keeps interfering with my stamping time!) but I waited on this one because I wanted to use a new set with it.  I LOVE this new set (Apple of My Eye) and LOVE how it coordinates with the  Farmers Market dsp.  I just LOVE the way this one turned out!

Snow Place

LetItSnowThis is a little bit of ‘old meets new’.  I was looking at this GORGEOUS snowflake print from the Season of Cheer dsp but I REALLY wanted to play with my new ‘A Nice Cuppa’ set.  Well, I decided to put the two of them together and this is what I came up with.  I have to say that I like the way it turned out.

One of my favorite things about the cut framelits is that GREAT little steam ‘heart’!  Isn’t it just THE CUTEST?

Here’s the details…

  • Night of Navy – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Snowflake print (Season of Cheer dsp) – 3 x 5 1/2, add to card front
  • Blushing Bride – 3/4 x 4 1/4, add to card front
  • Whisper White – cut out 3 1/4″ circle using circle framelits, add to card front using dimensionals
  • Stamp cup using Blushing Bride, cut out using framelit, add using dimensionals
  • Cut out ‘steam heart’ from Real Red and add to card front
  • Cut out snowflake (Square Pillow Box thinlet) from Night of Navy and add to cup
  • Punch out heart (2-step owl punch) from Real Red add to center of snowflake
  • Real Red – 5/8 x 3 1/4, stamp greeting (Snow Place) using Versamark, white emboss, cut into banner, add using dimensionals.

Isn’t that a FUN card?  I just LOVE it!

Holly Jolly Christmas

PeaceOnEarthYep…it is almost CHRISTMAS!!!  WOW!!!

I’ve been on a kick to clean my house and trying to get all my ‘stuff’ under control – that is MUCH easier said than done!  But I am working on it a little at a time and everytime I do a major area, I feel soooo much better!

One of the things I needed to DESPERATELY declutter was my stamping desk.  ONE card and it becomes a TOTAL disaster!  As I was digging through the stuff and trying to find the actual top of my desk I found pieces from various projects that were left over!  Everything on this card EXCEPT the silver banner where I stamped ‘on earth’ were found pieces on my desk.  So I put them together and this is what I got!

Here’s the details…

  • Whisper White – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Winter Wonderland dsp (snowflake print) – 3/4 x 5 1/2, add to card front.
  • Whisper White – 3 1/2 x 5 1/2, run through the woodland embossing folder.
  • Silver diagonal print (Neutral dsp paper pack) – 1/2 x 5 1/2, add behind what panel and add to card front using dimensionals
  • Silver Foil – 1 1/4 x 3, cut into a banner, stamp greeting using StazOn Jet Black, add to card front.
  • Silver Glimmer – 1/8 x 3 1/4, add to card front
  • Cut ‘peace’ out of Basic Black and add to card front
  • Cut snowflakes (Square Pillow Box Thinlit) from Silver Foil and Silver Glimmer, add to card front using dimensionals
  • Add Basic Rhinestones to finish off.
Set(s): Holly Jolly Christmas
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Neutral dsp Paper Stack, Wonderland dsp, Silver Foil, Silver Glimmer
Ink: StazOnJet Black
Other: Woodland Embossing Folder, Square Pillow Box Thinlits, Christmas Greetings Thinlits, Basic Rhinestones,  Dimensionals

Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!

And Many More

SUO138WOW…Christmas is in THREE DAYS!!!  AMAZING!!!  But it is a Tuesday and it is time for another SUO challenge.  Our theme this time is “Happy New Year!” … what a GREAT theme!

As always there’s a bit of a story with this one.  I didn’t really have anything that said “HAPPY NEW YEARS” to me but in the new Occasions Mini there are TONS of balloons and balloon punches.  PERFECT!  Right?  Yep…but I like to work ahead when I can.  Things seem to have a habit of getting out of control around this time of year  and with my sister’s health not always being that great, being ahead on other commitments are good in case I have to pack up and head to Pittsburgh.  So..I had to come up with a ‘Plan B’.  I was trolling around Pinterest and found a really cool card and thought THAT’S IT…CIRCLES!  So this card looks NOTHING like the one that inspired me but that’s okay…I LOVE the classy black and silver look!

Here’s the details…

  • Basic Black – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Basic Black – 3 3/4 x 5, stamp greeting using Versamark and silver emboss
  • Black Glimmer paper – punch out FOUR 1 1/4″ circles, add to panel
  • Silver Foil paper – punch out FIVE 1″ circles, add to panel
  • Silver Glimmer Paper – cut out NINE 5/8″ circles (smallest circle framelit), add to panel, trim off overhang circles and then add panel to card front using dimensionals
  • Add some of the large Basic Rhinestones to finish it off.

Don’t forget to check out what the rest of the design team to see their wonderful creations!

Paper: Basic Black, Black Glimmer, Silver Glimmer, Silver Foil
Ink: Versamark

Tour de Freaks – December 2015

freakwelcome2013

Welcome to the December Tour de Freaks Blog Hop!  Can you believe it…Christmas is less than a week away…WOW!!!  As a demonstrator we are always excited about ‘new stuff’ and that is what this hop is all about – the NEW Occasions Mini and SAB Brochure!

If you are going forward through the hop you arrived here from Melissa Davies Rubberfunatics blog.  LOVE her stuff!

There is SOOOO MUCH fun NEW stuff I had a difficult time deciding what I wanted to do.  My friends Jo and Jackie (or as my DH says…the “J’s” were over and as we were playing I decided to use the GORGEOUS Rose Garden thinlits as the focus of my projects.  This was one of those things that took on a couple different starts until I ended up with these projects.  First my card…

CFHopDecCard

I just LOVE the simple look of this card and it is sooo easy to do.  Here’s the details…

  • Crumb Cake – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Whisper White – 4 x 5 1/4
  • Crumb Cake/White Heart print – 3 7/8 x 5 1/8, add to Whisper White layer and add to card front
  • Whisper White THICK – cut out Rose Wonder framelit 3 times, stack together and adhere to card front
  • Whisper White – 2 3/4 x 7/8, stamp greeting using Soft Suede, cut into a banner, add using dimensionals.

Now how simple is THAT?  And I think it looks so elegant!

Set(s): Rose Wonder
Paper: Whisper White THICK, Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Love Blossoms dsp paper Stack
Ink: Soft Suede
Other: Rose Garden Thinlits, Dimensionals

CFHopDecFrame

I just LOVE making project that ‘match’ and LOVE doin’ inserts for 8 x 8 frames so that is what I did for my 3D project.  I used some of the same basic ‘stuff’ for this.  Here’s the details…

  • Blushing Bride – 8 x 8
  • White/Crumb Cake print (Love Blossoms dsp) – 2 x 6, cut in half and add to Blushing Bride base
  • Add Blushing Bride Sequin Trim around base securing in the back
  • Whisper White – 6 1/8 x 6 1/8
  • Crumb Cake/White Heart print (Love Blossoms dsp – 6 x 6, layer onto Whisper White piece then add to base using dimensionals
  • Whisper White THICK – cut out Rose Wonder framelit 3 times, stack together and adhere to base
  • Soft Suede – 1/2 x 8, add to base using dimensionals
  • Blushing Bride – stamp frame and sentiment using Soft Suede, cut out with framelit, add using dimensionals
  • Blushing Bride Glimmer paper – punch out little hearts using the 2-step owl punch (PERFECT size!) add to dsp to mini off
