Cheer All Year

CCMC379Happy Thursday!  Boy we having been have FALL around here this week.  We had been enjoying temps in the 60s and 70s…well…this week, 50s and low 6os.  Winter is right around the corner…DANG!

Since it is feeling very ‘autumny’ I decided to go with an ‘autumn’ theme for my card.  This is one of those sketches that I took a few ‘liberties’ when creating.  I used the three different color ‘splotches’ to represent the 3 circles int he sketch!  Okay…works for me!

Here’s the details (don’t blink…it’s a quick one!)…

  • Very Vanilla – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Very Vanilla – 3 1/2 x 4 3/4, stamp the ‘splotch’ 3 times – Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist, Old Olive.  Stamp greeting using Old Olive, add to card front using dimensionals
  • Cut leaf form black print (Happy Hauntings dsp – it’s NOT just for Halloween) add to card front.
  • Add gold button using glue dots
  • Tie bow form Gold Cording Trim and add to button
  • Add gold sequins

Yep…that’s all there is to it!

Don’t forget to check out what the rest of the design team!

  1. Such a pretty card! I love the splashes of colour and gold.

  2. Wow! That leaf is so cool in the Happy Hauntings DSP! Amazing!!!

  3. Mary, just a head’s up. Your card on the CCMC site doesn’t deep link to your CCMC card. That being said, I love the artsy card – what a fun way to use designer series paper!

  4. What a great autumn feel I get from those colors! Great idea to use color splashes to fit the sketch!

  5. Sometimes I see such creative ideas and am dumbfounded. This is one of them! I was so stuck on the circles and this idea is so genius not to mention pretty! Love that DSP leaf too!

  6. Love it when you can make a liberal interpretation of a sketch – this card is very artsy and the dsp leaf is very modern Mary!
