Acorny Thank You

SUO132Yep…it’s Acorny Thank You AGAIN!!!  I’m just LOVIN’ this set and in these colors.  COOL!!!  Anyway…since it is Tuesday it is time for another SUO challenge – Punch It Up…using punches on your card.

Well…since I’m LOVIN’ this punch I knew I was going to use it then I also used the Banner Triple Punch and the Bow Builder Punch.

I actually had done another card for this challenge then realized the only punch I used was the acorn one so I decided to ‘punch it up’ a little more and did a second card!

Here’s the details…

  • Delightful Dijon – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Delightful Dijon – 3 1/2 x 5 1/2, ink the Woodland Embossing Folder using Delightful Dijon, run the cardstock through the folder.
  • Timeless Elegance (bold black/vanilla stripe) – 5/8 x 5 1/2, add to back of panel and add to card front using dimensionals.
  • Very Vanilla – 2 x 3 3/4, punch using Banner Triangle punch, stamp greeting using Versamark and black emboss.
  • Black Glimmer – 1 1/2 x 4, punch using Banner Triangle Punch, add behind banner and add to card front using dimensionals
  • Stamp solid acorn using Delightful Dijon, punch out, punch out acorn top from Black Glimmer, layer, add adhesive to the back and then add loops of Gold Cording Trim.  Add using dimensionals.  Add Vanilla Enamel Dot.
  • Boho dsp – Punch out Bow Builder using Bow Builder Punch.  NOTE:  I punched out double and layered so inside of the bow was same as outside.  Add using glue dots.

Don’t forget to check out what the rest of the design team to see their wonderful creations!

Set(s): Acorny Thank You, For All Things
Paper: Very Vanilla, Delightful Dijon, Boho dsp, Timeless Elegance dsp, Black Glimmer
Ink: Delightful Dijon, Versamark

I’m lovin’ these little acorns and decided to use those for my card (okay…I had some ‘extras’ on my desk from a project I did for the Create with Connie and Mary September Mini Session!  I didn’t want to use the Fall dsp in the Mini but found this print from English Garden pack!

  • English Garden ‘pebble print’ – 2 3/8 x 5 1/2, add to card front

Acorny Thank You

AcornySo are you all LOVIN’ the Holiday Mini?  I know that I am!  And I have a confession to make…bought WAAAY too much ‘stuff’ already and haven’t gotten everything I wanted…YET!!!

I love this great little acorn set and matching punch.  I’ve seen some great things being made for it.  I was needing to make a card for my stamp group and well I sort or waited until the last minute to come up with an idea (been SUPER busy at school!).  Anywho…I had to come up with an idea QUICK and CAS (clean and simple) ALWAYS fits that bill!  I wanted to show add the loopy cord behind a image…my new FAV thing to do!

Here’s the VERY easy details…

  • Very Vanilla – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Old Olive – 1/2 x 5 1/2, cut two, add to card base
  • Very Vanilla – 3 1/2 x 4 3/4, add to card base using dimensionals
  • Stamp bottom of acorn using Old Olive on Very Vanilla and top using Early Espresso, punch out and layer.
  • Turn over, add adhesive then do your ‘loopies’ using the Gold Cording Trim (LOVE!!!), add to card front
  • Stamp thankful banner using Cajun Craze, cut out and add using dimensionals

How super simple is that!  See I told you it was easy.

Are you looking for some GREAT ideas using items in the Holiday Mini?  Well we has something cool going on over at Create with Connie and Mary September Mini Session!
