CAS317Here’s a quick and easy CAS card for you this evening!

I noticed that the CAS challenge on SCS was to use ‘bulb’ flowers on your card.  Well…I was looking through my Painted Petals set and noticed this sweet little ‘tulip’ image and thought how cute they would look sticking out of a pocket!  Super sweet and simple!

Here’s the details –

  • Whisper White – 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Whisper White – 3 1/2 x 3 1/2.  Stamp stem image twice (second stamped off) using Pistachio Pudding.  Stamp tulips twice (second stamped off) using Crisp Cantaloupe.
  • Punch ‘pocket’ using the hexagon punch from the In-color DSP paper stack.  Add using dimensionals.
  • Stamp greeting using Pistachio Pudding.
  • Add layer to card front using dimensionals.
  • Tie bow from Whisper White Baker’s Twine.  Add to pocket.
  • Add Basic Rhinestone to finish off.

Lovely Amazing You

F4A265As soon as I saw this new photopolymer set, I just KNEW I had to have it!  I do LOVE feather images and I think the font they used for the greetings is just fun!

So today I decided before I got started with school work I’d do a little stamping and saw that the Free for All challenge on SCS is CAS but with a dark color.  What can I say…that had my name written all over it!  LOL!!!  I decided to use the pretty Blackberry Bliss as my base instead of black…but still a dark color.

Here’s the details…

  • Blackberry Bliss – 4 1/4 x 11.  Run top through the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder
  • Blackberry Bliss – 3 1/2 x 4 3/4.  Stamp greeting using Versamark and white emboss.  Add to card front using dimensionals.
  • Stamp the feather image twice using Versamark on Blackberry Bliss and white emboss.  Cut out and add using dimensionals.
  • Add a couple Basic Rhinestones to finish off.

Paper: Blackberry Bliss
Ink: Versamark

Sheltering Tree

TSSC358For this week’s Technostamper Monday Lunchtime sketch challenge I decided it was time to pull out my Sheltering Tree set again but this time I wanted to go soft and pretty in pink!

I really like the look of the pink – makes me think that maybe…just maybe spring is on its way!  One of the things though was I was using my Pink Pirouette ink and it just wasn’t dark enough for the leaves so I pulled out my pink chalk ink pad and it was just PERFECT!

Here’s the details –

  • Pink Pirouette – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Whisper White – 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 – round bottom corners.  stamp trunk using Sahara Sand, leaves using Pink Pirouette AND then Rose Coral chalk ink, stamp greeting using Soft Suede, stamp ground using Pistachio Pudding.  Add to card front
  • Striped (Sweet Dreams dsp) – 1 1/4 x 4 1/4, punch with Scallop Edge Punch, wrap piece of Wild Wasabi Twine, add bow.  Add piece to card front using dimensionals.
  • Cut clip off heart paper clip.  Add to card front.  Tie White Baker’s Twine to Sahara Sand Sweet Dream button and add to center to finish off.

TSSC358Okay…I took a little ‘artistic license’ with this!…I hope you can join the fun!    Don’t forget to check out the other members of the team and remember go to the Technostamper blog to play along!

SatHop

This past week I had to travel to Boston (yes… BOSTON the city of SNOW!) to present at a conference.  The trip was wonderful but between the time change (I HATE THIS ONE!) and traveling…I’ve just been sort of tired so I figured I needed some SUNSHINE!

  • Daffodil Delight – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Whisper White – 3 1/2 x 4 3/4, use the ‘sunshine’ stencil from the Hooray It’s Your Day Project Kit and sponge using Crushed Curry
  • Stamp You Brighten My Day using StazOn Jet Black ink.
  • Layer onto Basic Black 3 5/8 x 4 7/8 and add to card front using dimensionals.
  • Stamp light bulb using StazOn Jet Black and color with Crushed Curry and Smoky Slate markers.  Punch out using 1 1/4″ Circle punch, layer on 1 3/8 Silver Glimmer and then add to 1 3/4 Basic Black Scallop Circle using dimensionals.  Add to card front using dimensionals
  • Add a slew of Basic Rhinestones – why not!
  • Add Crystal Effect over the light bulb to make it ‘glassy’ looking.
