For All Things

TSSC333What a cool sketch for the Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.  I had to spend a little figuring out exactly what I wanted to do but now I really like it.  I did take  a couple ‘creative licenses’ with it!  I know…NO SURPRISE there!  LOL!!!  I tend to do that a lot!

Here’s the details –

  • Cajun Craze – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Cajun Craze – 5 1/8 x 3 7/8.  Run through the hexagon embossing and add to card front
  • Black Berry Bliss and Color Me Autumn dsp (mulitcolor leaf print) – 2 1/4 x 3 3/8 – layer and add to the card front
  • Sahara Sand – 3/4 x 4 3/4 and add to card front
  • Stamp leaf using Mossy Meadow (I did stamp off once to make it lighter) on Very Vanilla.  Stamp greeting using Blackberry Bliss.  Cut out using 2″ circle punch.  Layer on BlackBerry bliss circle (circle framelits) using dimensionals.  Add to card front using dimensionals.
  • Cut out leaves in Mossy Meadow, Blackberry Bliss, and Cajun Craze using the little leaf from the Fun Fall Framelits.  Draw on ‘veins’ using matching marker, add using dimensionals.
  • Add some of the very tiny Basic Pearls to finish it off.

Christmas Bliss Cafe Gift Bag

HolidayCardHopWelcomeOh…I just can’t believe it…we have come to the END of Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Card “Create”tions and it is time for our LAST design team Blog Hop!  The team spent another week doing Christmas card sets and you know what?  If you are looking for ideas…it’s not too late to subscribe!

If you are going forward through the hop you arrived here from Natasha Zandbergen’ blog Inking Out of the Box.  Isn’t it fun seeing all of the Cafe’ Gift Bags?  I know I’m getting some GREAT ideas!

Wk3CafeBagThis week we are all using the Cafe Gift Bag.  If you haven’t see them yet, they are really nice…they are lined so that you can put food in them and it not ‘leak’ out.

I used the photopolymer Christmas Bliss set for my card set so I used it for this.  I also featured the All is Calm dsp.  I like to keep things ‘clean and simple’ so I decided to do the same for my bag but just add some tags to decorate the front.

The blue tag is 2 3/4 x 6, the green is 1 1/2 x 4 and the Whisper White is 1 1/4 x 5 1/4.  On the Whisper White I silver embossed the greeting and cut everything into tag.  I layered these together and add Lost Lagoon 3/8″ Silky Taffeta Ribbon.  I wanted just a little ‘extra’ on my ‘tag’ so I add an All is Calm Snowflake embellishment using White Baker’s Twine.  I added a strip of the dotted dsp 1/2 x 3 1/4 along the top and some of the Silver Washi Tape along the bottom.

This would be a VERY simple thing to do if you were making a bunch of gift bags and really could be for ANY occasion and in ANY colors!

Okay…I just KNOW Melissa Davies did some WONDERFUL for her bag so head on over to Rubberfunatics!

Tour de Freaks – Sept

freakwelcome2013

Welcome to the September Tour de Freaks where the theme is “BOO to You” and I took that quite literally!  If you are going forward through the hop you arrived here from Margaret Raburn’s Fun Stampin’ with Margaret blog.  What FUN and FABULOUS projects!

And now for mine…

BOO CardsFor my first BOO…I just HAD to use this little ghost.  It really is the CUTEST thing EVER and it is especially cute when done in Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper.  To make the BOO on the banner I used the little letters to cut it our of the black and add a strip of the Motely Monster dsp Crushed Curry behind it using dimensionals.  The eyes are done with the 1/8″ hole punch and put a Basic Black circle behind it.  Otherwise I ran a piece of Pumpkin Pie through the Lucky Stars embossing folder.  Don’t you just LOVE that candy cone dsp?  Me too!

BOO Box 2

BOO BoxSo…I did this cute 3D using three Tiny Boxes from the Holiday Mini.  I wrapped some of the Candy Corn dsp around it to hold them all today.  I added Basic Black and the Candy Corn dsp to the tops and stamp the faces from Fall Fest, black embossed on Pumpkin Pie then punched out using 1 1/4 circle punch.  The ghosts are again made from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper.  The pumpkins were stamped in Pumpkin Pie, Tangelo Twist, Tangerine Tango and Early Espresso for the stems.  The leaves are Old Olive.  For ‘boo’ I stamped the Larger Than Life Alphabet in Versamark and Black Embossed and cut out.  I just layered all this on to the wrap around the boxes for easy removal.

I hope you liked my BOO to you and now it time to head on over to Melissa Davies Rubberfunatics for more Frightfully Fun ideas!

Festival of Trees

TSSC332When I saw the sketch for Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge this week, I couldn’t wait to use the Festival of Trees set with it.  I did change it up just a little bit but still pretty close to the sketch.

I thought the Mossy Meadow would be a GREAT color for the tree and paired up with gold…it is soooo pretty. This is one of the those that the photo really doesn’t do it justice!

Here’s the details

  • Mossy Meadow – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Whisper White AND Gold Vellum – 3 3/4 x 5.  Layer vellum over Whisper White.  I ‘hid’ the tape behind the gold circles then added panel to card front using dimensionals
  • Whisper White – 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 layer on Mossy Meadow 2 5/8 x 2 5/8.
  • Stamp greeting using Mossy Meadow
  • Add panel to card front using dimensionals
  • Gold Foil – 5/8 x 3 1/4, cut into a banner, run through the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder and add to card front.
  • Stamp tree using Mossy Meadow and Early Espresso.  Top with Embossing Buddy, stamp circles using Versamark and gold emboss.  Punch out using Tree Punch and add to card front using dimensionals.
  • Stamp star using versamark and gold emboss. Cut out and add to top of tree to finish it off.

Nature’s Peace Tiny Box

HolidayCardHopWelcomeCan you believe it…it’s the end of Week 2 of Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Card “Create”tions and time for our Saturday Blog Hop.  This week the team will be using the new Tiny Box along with the stamp set we used for our card set for our subscribers!  This week it was all about Christmas so if you are look for some good Christmas card ideas…it’s not too late to subscribe!

If you are going forward through the hop you arrived here from Natasha Zandbergen’ blog Inking Out of the Box.  Isn’t it fun seeing all of the tiny boxes ideas?  I know I’m getting some GREAT ideas!

Wk2TinyBoxes1So this week my card set used the Nature’s Peace set.  If you are familiar with that set you know that there is one big image in there and a couple tiny ones.  Well obviously the large image was NOT going to work for the Tiny Boxes so I had to improvise with the small images.

I decided to use 4 of the boxes and stack them.  I picked two of the prints from the Trim the Tree dsp Paper Stack.  I started with Cherry Cobbler and Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 (2 of each).  Then the dsp is 1 5/8 x 1 5/8.  I used the 3/4″ circle punch for the ‘notch’.  Next I stamped the snowflake with Cherry Cobbler and Crisp Cantaloupe and cut out with the Circle Framelit.  They are layered on Cherry Cobbler and Crisp Cantaloupe 1 1/4″ Scallop Circle and add using dimensionals.  I added a sequin in center of each.

I wrapped the Cherry Cobbler 1″ Sheer Linen Ribbon around the boxes and tied into a bow.  The greeting is stamped using Garden Green on Whisper White 5/8 x 3 1/2 and the Crisp Cantaloupe is 5/8 x 3 1/4.  I layered this, punch a 1/8″ hole in it and attached to the bow with a double thickness of the Cherry Cobbler/White Baker’s Twine.

Well…enough about ‘Tiny Box’…time to head over to Melissa Davies at Rubberfunatics and see her ‘Tiny Box’.
