Can you believe it…it’s the end of Week 2 of Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Card “Create”tions and time for our Saturday Blog Hop. This week the team will be using the new Tiny Box along with the stamp set we used for our card set for our subscribers! This week it was all about Christmas so if you are look for some good Christmas card ideas…it’s not too late to subscribe!
If you are going forward through the hop you arrived here from Natasha Zandbergen’ blog Inking Out of the Box. Isn’t it fun seeing all of the tiny boxes ideas? I know I’m getting some GREAT ideas!
So this week my card set used the Nature’s Peace set. If you are familiar with that set you know that there is one big image in there and a couple tiny ones. Well obviously the large image was NOT going to work for the Tiny Boxes so I had to improvise with the small images.
I decided to use 4 of the boxes and stack them. I picked two of the prints from the Trim the Tree dsp Paper Stack. I started with Cherry Cobbler and Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 (2 of each). Then the dsp is 1 5/8 x 1 5/8. I used the 3/4″ circle punch for the ‘notch’. Next I stamped the snowflake with Cherry Cobbler and Crisp Cantaloupe and cut out with the Circle Framelit. They are layered on Cherry Cobbler and Crisp Cantaloupe 1 1/4″ Scallop Circle and add using dimensionals. I added a sequin in center of each.
I wrapped the Cherry Cobbler 1″ Sheer Linen Ribbon around the boxes and tied into a bow. The greeting is stamped using Garden Green on Whisper White 5/8 x 3 1/2 and the Crisp Cantaloupe is 5/8 x 3 1/4. I layered this, punch a 1/8″ hole in it and attached to the bow with a double thickness of the Cherry Cobbler/White Baker’s Twine.
Well…enough about ‘Tiny Box’…time to head over to Melissa Davies at Rubberfunatics and see her ‘Tiny Box’.
