See Ya Later

TSSC302OH my…I am so sorry!  I see that somehow the POST didn’t get in here with this.  My mind has just been everywhere but here.  All I can say is it’s been a really bad 30 days!

Anyway…this is for the Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.  As usual, I did my own little twist to the sketch.  I just love this little ‘sun’ and had done another ‘sun’ card for a different Technostamper Sketch challenge and thought it would be so cute with this one too!

Here’s the details:

  • Bermuda Bay – 3 1/2 x 4 1/4 folded
  • Bermuda Bay Print (from the Celebrations Add-on Kit) – 2 x 3 1/2 and add to top
  • Whisper White – 3/4 x 3 1/2 and add to card front.
  • Stamp greeting from See Ya Later (SAB) using Basic Black
  • Make sun – 1 1/2 Crushed Curry circle (framelit) and add 5 each of two different Crushed Curry Prints (from the Celebrations Add-on Kit) using the Banner Punch (SAB).  Add behind circle and add to card front using dimensionals.  Make sure finished size is no more than 4 1/4 in width.
  • Make clouds using Basic Grey and Build a Cupcake punch and add to card front.
  • Add a couple Basic Rhinestones to the sun to finish it off.

TSSC302.I took the sketch and make the base narrower so that my element could hang off the side.  Otherwise…exactly the same!  Don’t forget to check out the other members of the team and remember go to the Technostamper blog to play along!

Petite Petals

SUO90Is winter over yet?  Boy…I sure do wish it was.  Once again it is soooooo cold!  I am sooooo done with it!  Tomorrow it’s supposed to get up in the 30’s…MAJOR HEAT WAVE!  Sad…so sad!

But it is bright and happy here at stampercamper’s corner.  Today is a SUO challenge and the theme this time is punches.  Now I’m NOT into punch art.  I truly appreciate people who can to it (and on my you MUST see that Bronwyn did for our challenge) but I can’t come up with things.  I do LOVE using them though so I used a BUNCH of PUNCHES on this!

Here’s the details…

  • Elegant Eggplant – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Whisper White – 2 3/4 x 5 1/2.  Using the Label Bracket Punch cut out pieces of Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Pool Party.  Add to the Whisper White piece.  Run through the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder.  Layer onto piece of Whisper White 3 x 5 1/2 then add to card front.
  • Punch out one Coastal Cabana Label Bracket punch and add using dimensionals.
  • Punch out three 1 1/4 Scallop Circle punch add using dimensionals.  Then three 1″ Circle Punch…add to centers of scallop circle punch.
  • Stamp flower from Petite Petal using Bermuda Bay, punch with matching punch add to circles.
  • Add 4 petal bitty punch in Elegant Eggplant to center and add Basic Rhinestone to center of each.
  • Stamp Hello (from Peachy Keen) using Elegant Eggplant on Pool Party.  Cut into a banner (using Hexagon Punch) and add using dimensionals.

Don’t forget to check out what the rest of the design team did with punches.  Everyone had such a unique take on this!

Simple Stems

CAS259I had a little time this morning (before getting down to some SERIOUS grading) and thought the CAS challenge on SCS looked like fun.  It’s a sketch challenge based on p 37 of our SU catalog.  I thought it would be fun to play along.

This really is an easy card but the switching out of the colors for the greeting was a bit time consuming.  Of course I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure things were nice and straight and lined up.  What can I say…I have issues!

Here’s the details –

  • Whisper White – 4 1/4 x 11 folded.  Use envelope punch board to round bottom left corner
  • Whisper White – 3 3/4 x 5.  Again use envelope punch board to round bottom left corner
  • Stamp greeting (six-sided sampler using Real Red, Pumpkin Pie and Bermuda Bay.
  • Add to card front using dimensionals
  • Stamp flower and leaf/stem using basic black.  I colored in the leaves using Basic Black marker.  Cut out and add using dimensionals.

Yep…it’s as simple as that.

SpringBadgeAnd speaking of simple…it’s as simple as can be to subscribe to Create with Connie and Mary Spring Collection 2014!  It is NOT too late to join and get GREAT ideas for products from the Occasions Mini and Sale-a-bration Brochure.  You can still check out Preview Week where you can get a taste of what Create with Connie and Mary Collections are all about!

      • Add the Crumb Cake print 1 3/4 x 3 1/2.
      • Add thee banners – smallest banner from the banner framelit set.  Add to card front

Peachy Keen

TSSC300I’ve been seeing these fun ‘suns’ all around the Internet and when I saw the sketch for this week’s Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge I just KNEW that the sun was the perfect element for it.

I just finished up working on my card set for Week 3 of Create with Connie and Mary Spring Collection 2014 and had been using the Celebrations Bermuda Add-On Accessory Kit and had some leftovers.  Since these were sitting ‘on the top of my desk’ when I sat down to work on this, it came together so quickly.

Here’s the details…

  • Crushed Curry – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Whisper White – 3 1/2 x 4 3/4 layered on Bermuda Bay 3 5/8 x 4 7/8 and add to card front using dimensionals
  • Sun – Crushed Curry 1 3/4″ Circle and two prints from the Celebrations Bermuda Add-On Kit punched with the SAB Banner Punch – 6 of each of the 2 prints.  Add behind the circle and add to the card front using dimensionals.
  • Stamp the greeting (Peachy Keen) using Bermuda Bay and Basic Black ink on Whisper White 7/8 x 2 3/4.  Punch ends using the Artisan Label Punch.  Add to card front using dimensionals.
  • Instead of the flags along the bottom of the greeting, I added the largest of the Basic Rhinestones under the banner and added some small rhinestones on the sun to finish it off.

TSSC300See…I sort of followed it.  You know…that is problem I seem to have with sketches.  But I do love the way my card turned out. Don’t forget to check out the other members of the team and remember go to the Technostamper blog to play along!

DSC01426It’s time to Sale-a-brate!  This past week on Create with Connie and Mary Spring Collection 2014 the fabulous Design Team has been using the SAB products for their projects.  Oh…the inspiring ideas!  (DANG and now I have to buy more stuff so I can make them all!)  But only our subscribers can see these fun projects…it’s not too late!

On Saturdays we have a challenge for everyone and this week it is a soft color challenge inspired by the YUMMY SAB dsp Sweet Sorbet.  You know me…I LOVE white so decided to keep my look very soft.

Here’s the details –

  • Whisper White – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Whisper White – 3 5/8 x 4 7/8, run through the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, layer on Sahara Sand 3 3/4 c 5 and add to card front.
  • Whisper White – 2 x 3 3/4, punch top with Scallop Tag Topper and corner round bottoms.  Stamp the sort of ‘leafy’ image with Pistachio Pudding.
  • Stamp the larger flower with Crisp Cantaloupe and the smaller on with Sahara Sand, cut out and add to tag.  I used a dimensional under the Sahara Sand one.
  • Add tag to the card front using dimensionals
  • Whisper White – 7/8 x 3 1/4, stamp greeting using Basic Black, cut into a banner, add Crisp Cantaloupe Stretch Ruffled Ribbon along the bottom and add to tag using dimensionals.
  • Make a bow with a double layer of the Crisp Cantaloupe Twine and add to top of tag using a glue dot.

Oh…I just love the soft, pretty look of this!
