Magnificent Maple

TSSCHappy Monday everyone!  it’s time for another Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.  Mary Jo had a nice simple sketch for us so I kept it nice and simple.

There is just such a nice ‘chill’ in the air.  Can you believe we are quickly approaching Thanksgiving?  WOW!!!  It will be Christmas before we know it.

Here’s the details…

  • Pistachio Pudding:  4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Stamp image from Gorgeous Grunge using Pistachio Pudding
  • Venetian Romance:  1 1/2 x 5
  • Stamp leaf three times on Very Vanilla:  Wild Wasabi, Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango.  Cut out, add using dimensionals.
  • Very Vanilla Banner:  5/8 x 3 5/8.  Stamp greeting using Soft Suede.  Add using dimensionals.
  • Add Crisp Cantaloup Boutique Details to a 7/8″ Island Indigo Scallop Circle.  Add to card front using dimensionals.

Magnificent Maple

MagnificentMapleI decided I needed to do some stamping today.  With having been gone to Pittsburgh for the long weekend (over Veteran’s day) and then coming back EXHAUSTED and needed to do a BUNCH of work at school, today was my day to play.

I do LOVE to do challenges and when I saw that The Paper Player challenge was CAS leaves…well what can I say…that challenge was right up my alley!

Here’s the details:

  • Whisper White:  4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Extra piece of Whisper White:  4 1/4 x 5 1/2, run through Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder, add to card front
  • Whisper White:  2 1/2 x 3, layer on Perfect Plum 2 5/8 x 3 1/8, add to card front using dimensionals
  • Stamp Magnificent Maple in Island Indigo and Perfect Plum on Whisper White, cut out and add to panel using dimensionals.
  • Ink Truly Grateful using Island Indigo (truly) and Basic Grey (Grateful) markers on Whisper White. Cut into a banner.
  • Add Smoky Slate large button to banner using White Baker’s Twine.
  • Add banner to card front using dimensionals.
  • Add a couple of rhinestones for that ‘little extra’

Christmas Collectibles

Wk4WOW…I just can’t believe it!  Create with Connie and Mary Winter Collection 2013 has come to and end!  At the end of every collection we have a special challenge just for the design team and this time we are ending with wintery color challenge: Coastal Cabana, Pool Party, and Smoky Slate!

Here’s the details for my card…

  • Coastal Cabana – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Pool Party 3 1/8 x 4 3/8, run through Pretty Print Embossing Folder, layer on Smoky Slate 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 then add to card front.
  • Cut out 3 pieces of Whisper White 2 1/4 x 1 1/2, layer ONE on a piece of Smoky Slate 2 3/8 x 1 5/8.  Add pieces of Silver 1/8″ Ribbon.  Add to the card front.  I did the center one using dimensionals.
  • Stamp one of the ornaments two times in Smoky Slate (and the center in Pool Party) and the other ornament in Coastal Cabana.  Punch with Christmas Punch.  Add the Smoky Slate ones using single dimensionals and the center one with  double dimensional.
  • Add Silver 1/8″ Ribbon knots to the top of each ornament using glue.  Add some Basic Rhinestones for a little bling.
  • Stamp the greeting using Coastal Cabana on Whisper White 1/2″ x 2 3/4.  Cut into a banner and add to dimensionals.

Calm Christmas

CCMC277Oh…it’s Thursday again and time for still another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  And what a GREAT sketch Challenge we have for you this week!  We hope you will join the fun!

When I sat down to work on this, I had this bird already stamped, embossed and cut out and sitting on top of my desk so I decided to build my card around it!

Here’s the details…

  • Cherry Cobbler – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Cherry Cobbler – 4 3/4 x 1 1/2 and 4 3/4 x 1.  Ink the top of the Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder with Cherry Cobbler ink, put in the two strips then run through the Big Shot.  LOVE the look!  Add these two strips to the card base.
  • Stamp Peace on Earth in Cherry Cobbler on a 4 x 1 piece of Very Vanilla that is cut into a banner.  Add to card using dimensionals.
  • Stamp bird in versamark on Very Vanilla, Gold Emboss, cut out and add using dimensionals
  • Add some Basic Pearls to finish it off.

Endless Wishes

TSSC288Happy Monday everyone.  I have the day off from school and right now am in Pittsburgh visiting my family!  Nothing like putting the extra day off to good use!

I really liked the clean look of Mary Jo’s Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge this week and decided to keep it simple.  Sometimes I laugh at myself when I sit down to work on something with one idea in mind and then when I finish, it is totally different.  This start with green Christmas Trees where the stars and and in red and green.  Funny how that worked out!

Okay…some quick details!

  • Coastal Cabana – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
  • Whisper White – 3 1/2 x 4 3/4
  • Add striped dsp 3 1/2 x 2 3/4
  • Layer on Island Indigo 3 5/8 x 4 7/8
  • Stamp Merry in Coastal Cabana, stamp & bright in Island Indigo.
  • Punch star (Merry Mini Punch Pack) in Coastal Cabana, Island Indigo, and Silver Foil.  Add the blue ones using glue dots and the silver on with a dimensional.
  • Tie Silver 1/8″ ribbon around the panel.
  • Add panel to card base using dimensionals

Joyful Christmas

Wk3Week 3 of Create with Connie and Mary Winter Collections 2013 is over and so we have a wonderful Sketch Challenge for you!

I had so much fun doing the Poinsettia the other week that I decided to do another one this week (okay…AND I had the poinsettia already stamped and cut out…it just needed colored!).

Here’s the details…

  • Pink Pirouette – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Pink Pirouette dsp – 4 3/4 x 3 1/2.  Stamp the greeting in Versamark, silver emoboss and add to card front.
  • Add silver glimmer paper 5 1/2 x 1 1/8.
  • Stamp Poinsettia 2 times using Versamark on Vellum cardstock and silver emboss.  Cut out one full and the center one of the other.  Sponge the back in Cherry Cobbler.  Layer small flower on large flower using dimensional.  Add flower to card using dimensional.
  • Punch out three 1/4″ Silver Glimmer circles and add to the center of the flower to finish it.

Endless Wishes

CCMC276Happy Thursday everyone!  It is time once again for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge and this week…it’s a FUN color challenge – Real Red, Coastal Cabana, and Smoky Slate!  LOVE it!

I went with a CAS card using the FUN new Photopolymer set – Endless Wishes.  I LOVE the greeting in this!  Here’s the details…

  • Coastal Cabana – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
  • Whisper White – 3 1/4 x 5 1/2
  • Stamp the largest snowflake in Coastal Cabana one time, the medium snowflake 3 times in Real Red and the smallest snowflake 4 times in Smoky Slate.
  • Stamp very merry in Coastal Cabana and Christmas in Real Red.
  • Add 1/2 x 5 1/2 strips of Real Red to the top and bottom of of the Whisper White piece than add panel to card base using dimensionals.
  • Finish off the card by add some Basic Rhinestones to the centers of the Real Red snowflakes.
