Label Framelits Video

DSC00323I recently posted this fun card using the NEW Label Thinlits from Stampin’ Up!  I figured out a fun and easy way to add the DSP to the back panel (and yes….you can just change the size and use it for the top panel!) and I thought it would be fun to make a video to show this technique.

On the video the technique is shown on the first couple of minutes but then if you continue on…you will see how I made the whole card.  At the very end I give a supply list will all the sizes of everything you need…easy to get everything you need right there.

So enjoy the video!  Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!

Halloween Bash

DSC00323I know what you are thinking…Mary…it’s a little early for Halloween!  Yes…it is sort of early by I’m having some demos over tomorrow and I wanted them to make a card using the NEW LABEL FRAMELITS and well..this is what I came up with!  And since you can now order the framelits AND you can now order from the Holiday mini…what can I say…it’s a PERFECT card!  LOL!!!

I had a BLAST making this and I hope my friends do too!  I think this will also be part of my ‘cards that move’ class that I will be advertising to my customers soon!

DSC00325The base of the card is Basic Black.  One thing you might want to do with this is adhere your piece of dsp before running through the framelit…that way the one little hole is cut out too!  (AND I now have video showing how I do this…CLICK HERE to see it!)  I punched out a 1 3/4″ Summer Starfruit circle and added it (sort of a harvest moon look).  I added a strip of the Witches Brew dsp to the side with a thin piece of Basic Black over it.  I trimmed 1/4″ off the the ‘top’ flap, ran a piece of the striped dsp through the Adorning Accents Edgelit added behind that front panel then added a thin strip of the Summer Starfruit dsp.  For the front, I cut out the label framelit (that comes with the set) and added to the swinging panel.  next I stamped the bat image in Basic Black on Very Vanilla, punched with the large oval punch, layered on a Pumpkin Pie Scallop Oval piece and added to the panel.  I CAREFULLY uses my Basic Black marker to ink the word BEWARE, stamped on Summer Starfruit then used the fun curved label framelit that comes with the set to cut it out.  I added it to the punched piece using dimensional and glue dots.  I put a plain Very Vanilla Label on the back of the swinging panel.  You could write something on it or stamp Happy Halloween!  I added a couple of rhinestones to finish it off.

How fun is THAT!!!  I’m having a BLAST with this new framelit set and can’t wait to get my circle one too!
