Four You

ICHere’s a REALLY quick card for the Inspiration Challenge on SCS.  You can see my inspiration piece from the Lily Pulitzer site here.

The base of the card is Whisper White I took a piece of the Pear Pizzazz Co’ordinations paper, embossed hello in white and added it to a piece of Midnight Muse.  I took another piece of the paper, ran through the Chevron Embossing Folder, sanded it, then added to the bottom.  I wrapped a piece of the Midnight Muse Stitched Satin Ribbon around it, made a bow with the oval punch and Midnight Muse paper, added it to the cardfront then added a Midnight Muse Dahlia to the center.  I added this panel to the card base using dimensionals.

Yep…that is really ALL THERE  IS to this card!  I love ’em Clean and Simple!

Wildflower Meadow

CF SwapSince this week is all about Nature on Create with Connie and Mary Summer Collection 2013, I thought I would share the card I did for the Control Freak swaps.

The base of the card is Strawberry Slush.  I took a piece of Whisper white, added a piece of the gingham print from Gingham Gardens dsp, layered on Smoky Slate and added to the card front.  I took a piece of Whisper White, ran though the Wildflower Meadow Embossing folder, added a Pear Pizzazz Large Scallop on one side, a strip of Pear Pizzazz on the other then layered a thin strip of the Strawberry Slush by the scallop.  I added this to the card front.  I took my marker and drew in the stem, stamped the flower in Strawberry Slush, cut out and added to the card front.  It’s hard to see but I added some Dazzling Details to the center of the flower.  Finally I stamped the greeting in Melon Mambo and Old Olive marker, punched with the Artisan Punch and added to the card front using dimensionals to finish it off.

Flower Shop

CCMC258See…I told you that you would be seeing more of this fun Flower Shop set!  It’s Thursday so time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday challenge and this week it is bright and happy color combo!

This is one of the quick and easy cards!  The base of the card is Daffodil delight.  I took a piece of Whisper White, layered onto Night of Navy and added to the card base.  Next I punched a 2 1/2″ half circle from the new Daffodil Delight dsp (Brights dsp paper pack) and added to the card.  I took a strip of Melon Mambo, stamped my friend from the Six Sided Sampler set, cut into a banner and added to the card front.  Next I stamped the loopy flower using the new style Daffodil Delight pad and quickly covered in Clear Embossing Powder and embossed it.  I love with the new style pads if you move quickly you can emboss with them!  I punched with the Pansy Punch then punch another flower from Night of Navy.  I used two of the petals behind the flower as ‘leaves’.  Next I took a NEW Melon Mambo button and added it to the center of the flower using White Baker’s Twine.  I added the flower to the card front using dimensionals.

Bitty Butterfly

CASologyFreeSo the CASology theme this time is FREE.  WOW…what a theme!  My first thought was patriotic then I thought of the title “Butterflies are Free” and decided to go with that interpretation of the theme.

This is really quite a quick card.  The base of the card is 3 3 /4 x 11 folded.  I took another piece of the Whisper White, ran it through the embossing folder then added to the card front.  I love this saying that was part of the SAB Vintage Verses and since that is gone…I just used my MDS program to to this greeting in Smoky Slate and Real Red, printed it onto Whisper White and cut out.  Next I added 8 butterflies in Pool Party in one in Real Red Polka Dotted.  It’s a little hard to see but the red one has rhinestones for the body.  I added a short little scallop edge in Real Red than added this panel to the card front using dimensionals to finish it off!

summerpromoThis week on Create with Connie and Mary Summer Collection we are all about nature and I thought butterflies goes quite nicely with that!

Regarding Dahlias

TSSC269Oh…I do LOVE this set!  The flower is just sooo striking!  I’m really having fun playing with this set and it’s one of the sets being featured on Create with Connie and Mary Summer Collection 2013.  My FAVORITE thing to do with this set is to emboss it with Black Embossing Powder and then color it in!  The Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge was perfect for using this image!

The base of the card if Strawberry Slush.  I too a piece of Pistachio Pudding dsp, added some of the fun Pistachio Pudding Stretch Ruffled Ribbon behind it then added to the card front.  I added a thin strip of Strawberry Slush cardstock across is.  Next I stamped the Dahlia in Versamark on Whisper White, black embossed then colored in using Strawberry Slush marker and a blender pen.  This is layered on Pistachio Pudding then added using dimensionals.  I stamped the greeting with versamark, black embossed, punched with the Artisan punch then did another one in Strawberry Slush, cut in half, layered behind then added using dimensionals.  I added some Basic Rhinestones for just a touch of bling!

TSSC269Well lookie there…I actually followed the sketch pretty closely!  I know you want to play join us and we’d love to have you play along!  Don’t forget to check out the other members of the team and remember go to the Technostamper blog to play along!

Clean & Simple

CAS226Oh my favorite three words…CLEAN AND SIMPLE!!!  And I always look forward to the CAS challenge on SCS and love when I can play along!  This week the challenge was an inspiration challenge from Pintrest.  You know the whole thing about CAS is just that…to keep it clean and simple but it is more than just stamping a image on a folded piece of cardstock…there has to be those little extras…well, at least for me!

This was SOOO quick and easy to make.  The base is Whisper White.  I took another piece of Whisper White, stamped the greeting from Regarding Dahlias (one of the sets we are using this week on Create with Connie and Mary Summer Collection 2013) in Basic Black.  I then score two lines add added this to the card front using dimensionals.  I decided the inspiration colors were Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise and punched out the medium flower from the Boho Blossom Punch in each of the colors.  I snipped between the ‘petals’, folded up the petals then added to the card front.  I love grounding bright colors like this with a little bit of black so the center of each flower is 1/4″ Basic Clack Circle and then just a little rhinestone in the center of each to finish it off.

summerpromoWe have just started the Create with Connie and Mary Summer Collection 2013 and this week it is all about nature!
