Moving Forward

SUOIt’s time for another SUO challenge!  Can you believe that we are getting to the end of May, which is the end of the current SU catalog?  I know…hard to believe!  But I am SOOOO ready for NEW stuff!  I {heart} NEW STUFF!!!  But the SUO challenge is to say goodbye to a favorite retiring set.

I REALLY like the Ronald McDonald House Charity set this year and didn’t use it new enough!  I’ve been featuring it this month because I just think it’s one of those ‘must have’ sets!  So today for the challenge I decided to use it along with my three favorite prints from the International Bazaar dsp pack!

The base of the card is Pool Party.  I too a piece of Whisper White, ran it through the Clouds embossing folder (oh I can NOT believe this didn’t make it into the catalog!), layered onto Pacific Point.  Next I cut three banners from the prints, added to the panel, wrapped some Calypso Coral Baker’s Twine around it and added the panel to the card front.  I stamped the image using Pacific point and Pool Party on Whisper white, cut out using the Labels Framelit and added to the card front using dimensionals.  I stamped the blimp one more time using Calypso Coral, cut out and added using dimensionals.

So…check out the other retiring sets that the design team is featuring for the SUO challenge and join the fun!

TSSC264It’s Monday again and time once again for the Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch challenge.  As we are getting closer to the end of the catalog time, I’m trying to use up my stuff that is retiring.

The base of the card is Tangerine Tango.  I took a piece of Whisper White and added to a Lucky Limeade panel, then to the card front. Next I added the pennant Daffodil Delight print from the Summer Smooches pack, took a Lucky Limeade print, added Lucky Limeade strip along the top and a scallop along the bottom and added to the panel.  I stamped the greeting using Lucky Limeade and Tangerine Tango.  The Flower is the two smallest flowers from the Flower Folds Bigz XL die and the Tangerine print from the Summer Smooches pace, sponged with Tangerine Tango and added using dimensionals.  I flattened a bottle cap, added the Daffodil print then added to the card front.  I added some Basic Rhinestones to the center of the flower and by the greeting to finish it off.

TSSC264Oh….what a happy card this is!  Why not join the fun?  We’d love to have you play along!  Don’t forget to check out the other members of the team and remember go to the Technostamper blog to play along!

Best of Everything

CASHere’s a quick card I did for the CAS challenge on SCS for “That Smells Great”.  For some reason, I thought right away of strawberries…probably because I’ve been using the new Strawberry Slush color for another project today!

The base of the card is Whisper White.  I added three strips of Strawberry Slush.  I took another piece of Whisper White and pierced the decorative label in there.  I cut the panel out using the Apothecary Accents framelits, stamped sweet in Smokey Slate, stamped the strawberries in Strawberry Slush and Pear Pizzazz, added using dimensionals then added the piece using dimensionals too.  Finally I added the panel to the card base using dimensionals but added it towards the bottom right for a little different look.

Set(s): Best of Everything, Fabulous Phrases
Paper: Whisper White, Strawberry Slush
Ink: Strawberry Slush, Pear Pizzazz, Smokey Slate
Other: Apothecary Accents Framelits, Piercing Template, Dimensionals

Tour de Freaks May

freakwelcome

Welcome everyone to the May Tour de Freaks Blog Hop as we take a look at some sneak peek items from the NEW catalog!  Oh I LOVE new stuff!

If you are going forward through the blog hop, you have arrived here from Justin Krieger’s blog JK Cards.  Weren’t they GREAT!

CFHopMayCardOkay…so let’s start with my card.  I thought for my projects I would use some of the NEW incolors along with NEW stuff!  The base of my card is Pistachio Pudding.  I took another piece, ran through the Polka Dot Folder then added to the card front.  Next I created the panel.  I started with a piece of Strawberry Slush cardstock.  I stamped the image from the Mosaic Madness set using Pistachio Pudding ink, punched with the Mosaic punch and added to the strip.  I added a Whisper White Ribbon Lace punch then added it to the card front.  I did the little ‘flower’ in Strawberry Slush, cut out and added using dimensionals then added Basic Rhinestones to centers.  I stamped the greeting using the Pistachio Pudding then stamped the you in Strawberry Slush, cut out and added.  I used the Label Framelits to cut it out then added using dimensionals.

CFHopMayFrameRemember the Holiday Mini last year and the GREAT ornament on the front of the mini?  Well , I decided to use the new set and punch and make a flower!  The frame is a 5×5 frame with a 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 opening.  I took a piece Whisper White, ran it though the Modern Mosaic embossing Folder.  Next I added a piece of the gingham print from the Gingham Garden dsp pack.  I stamped the strip in Pistachio Pudding on Whisper White, layered onto Pistachio Pudding cardstock then added to the base.  I made the flower by stamping the image using Melon Mambo on Strawberry Slush, punched out and folded.  I made 6 ‘petals’ then added to a 1 3/4″ circle.  I stamped another image using Pistachio Pudding on Pistachio Pudding cardstock, punched and added as leaves.  The flower is added to the base using dimensionals.  I stamped the label image from Lovely Labels using Pistachio Pudding on Whisper White, punched with the Artisan punch and added to the flowers using dimensionals (actually 5 layered on top of each other!).  I stamped the greeting from A Round Array using Strawberry Slush, punched with the 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch then added using a dimensionals.

So I hoped you liked my sneak peek of the Quatre Fancy Suite!  Since out hop is a circle…the next stop is actually the first one Dawn Olchefske and her wonderful DOstamping with Dawn Blog!  Oh..I just LOVE her stuff!

Mother

motherHappy Mother’s Day to all you mom’s out there!  We are going to be heading out to see my husband’s mom here soon so I made this card for her.  She has problems with her eyesight so wanted to keep it simple with lots of contrast.

The base of the card is Daffodil Delight I took another piece of Daffodil Delight, stamped mother in Basic Black then ran the top part through the polka dot embossing folder.  I layered this on Whisper White, wrapped a piece of Basic Black Dotted Scallop ribbon (dot side down) around it then added to the card base.  The flowers are Whisper White from the Blossom Party Die, 1/2 Daffodil Delight circle then a jumbo rhinestone in the center of each.  Added these to the card front using glue dots.

So…a nice and quick card to wish everyone a Happy Mother’s Day!

Paper: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight
