Made for You

CCMC254Say it ain’t so…the END of the current catalog!  At least I can still say all the colors on my card are current!  WHEW!!!  LOVE the color refresh and the new incolors!  And these color are just perfect for the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Color Challenge this week!

So the base of my card is Whisper White.  I took a piece of Pool Party, ran it through the Clouds Embossing Folder and added to the card base.  Next I took a piece of So Saffron Polka Dotted paper and added to the bottom.  I use the Apothecary Accents Frames to make the Whisper White panel, punched holes on each end and added using the Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon.  The butterflies are in Island Indigo, Pool Part and So Saffron with the Elegant Butterfly punched from plain cardstock and the Bitty Butterfly punched from the matching dotted paper.  The ended are sponged on both, layered then I wrapped White Baker’s Twine around them to make the bodies and antenna.  I finished off the card by stamping the greeting using Island Indigo.

CC429Oh…it’s almost the end of our current catalog which means almost time for NEW STUFF!!! I can hardly wait!  This card is for the color challenge on SCS and some stuff that is leaving and some that is staying.

The base of the card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 Whisper White.  I ran a piece of Whisper White through the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder (will not be in the new catalog) and added to the card front.  I added a strip of Pool Party along the side.  Next I took a piece of Whisper White and used the Window Piercing template along with the straight edge to create my pierced image.  You can see a quick little video on how to create this look here.  I stamped the large flower using Pool Party and Island Indigo and the small ones are Island Indigo with the solid image stamped off.  The leaves are Lucky Limeade with the solid image stamped off.  The small flowers are added using dimensionals.  Best Wishes is stamped using Island Indigo then the panel added to the card base to finish it off.

TSSCHappy Monday everyone!  Can you believe it!  It’s the LAST Monday in May so the NEW SU CATALOG is RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!!!  YIPPEE!!!  Since this has been my feature set for this month I thought I’d use it one more time!

The base of the card is Rich Razzleberry.  I took the Razzleberry print from the Floral District pack and added to the card base.  I took another print from that pack, added scallop edges in Daffodil Delight and added to the card base.  Next up, I took a piece of Whisper White, stamped the fun bike using Rich Razzleberry and Baja Breeze, layered the Baja print on the bottom, layered onto Baja Breeze then to the card front using dimesionals.  I added the Daffodil print (same pack), cut into a banner and a piece of Rich Razzleberry Stitched Grosgrain  ribbon.  finally I added some Rhinestone to the bike wheels and in the Baja section.

Sweet Essentials

CAS222So I was checking out the CAS challenge on SCS and it was to use FEATHERS.  EEK!!!  I do not have a single feather stamp in my collection (no SERIOUSLY) unless you count bird stamps and I wasn’t sure if that counted or not.  So I was going to skip doing it then I remembered that the Boutique Boxes Designer Kit had feathers in it and I had some leftovers from a project I did for Create with Connie and Mary.

So some quick notes…the base of the card is Whisper White.  Next I took another piece of Whisper White, pierced an oval in there, added a doily from the kit then some feathers from the kit.  Next I stamped the greeting using Basic Grey on Whisper White, cut into a banner, added a Summer Starfruit button (from the kit) using some Baker’s Twine (from the kit).  How cool…I was able to use up some extras that I had before they retired AND do the CAS challenge for feathers!

Set(s): Sweet Essentials
Paper: Whisper White
Ink: Basic Grey

Serene Silhouettes

ICI haven’t done an Inspiration Challenge for awhile on SCS and when I saw this inspiration piece, I just KNEW I was playing along!

The base of the card is Whisper White.  I took another piece Whisper White, ran it through  the Delicate Designs Embossing Folder, added a piece of 1/8″ Pumpkin Pie Taffeta Ribbon then added to the card front using dimensionals.  I used my 3″ Circle die to cut out a Whisper White Circle then sponged Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Bermuda Bay ink on it.  Stamped the image from Serene Silhouettes in Basic Black then added the circle using dimensionals.  The greeting is form Pursuit of Happiness (retiring), cut into a banner, added a Pumpkin Pie button using Whisper White Baker’s Twine then added to the card front.  I added some Basic Rhinestones on the silhouette (a little difficult to see) then in the upper right to finish it off.

Set(s): Serene Silhouettes, Pursuit of Happiness
Paper: Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Bermuda Bay
Other: 3″ Circle Die, Delicate Designs Embossing Folder, Pumpkin Pie 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon, Brights Button, Whisper White Baker’s Twine, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Topsy Turvy Celebrations

CASologyDo you ever make cards from just finished pieces sitting on your desk?  I actually tend to do that A LOT!!!!  I’m always surprised (and really…if you saw my desk you would know I shouldn’t be) when I can do a challenge card with just finished objects sitting on my desk!  LOL!!!

Well…this is one of ‘those’ kind of cards and I was able to make this CUTE card for the CASology challenge this week with the theme ‘ROYAL”.  Yep…I think this is ROYAL!

CASology Winner Wk 45

WOOO HOOO!!!  My card was picked as the winner this week.  How very cool is THAT!

The base of the card is Whisper White.  I took another piece of Whisper White and added to the card base using dimensionals.  Next I took half of a 2 1/2 Daffodil Delight Chevron circle and added to the card.  Next up I had a the Basic Black banner with the word Celebrate! embossed in Whisper White so I added that.  And yep…I had the crown embossed in silver and already cut out and ready to go so I added that using dimensionals then I added some Jumbo Rhinestones and some Basic Rhinestones to finish off the card.

How FUN is that!  Took really no time at all and used stuff sitting “on the top of my desk”!

Set(s): Topsy-Turvy Celebrations
Paper: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Basic Black, Parker Prints dsp
Ink: Versamark
Other: 2 1/2″ Circle Punch, Silver Embossing Powder, White Embossing Powder, Jumbo Rhinestones, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals

A Round Array

CCMC253Happy Thursday Everyone!  I hope you are ready for a fun sketch challenge from Create with Connie and Mary!  It’s one of the simple ones that you can do just so much with!

The base of the card is Daffodil Delight.  Next I took the Daffodil Chevron print from Parker’s Prints, layered onto Basic Grey and added to the card front.  I took a piece of Whisper White, cut into a banner, added a thinner, longer Basic Grey banner behind it, tied a piece of the Basic Grey Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon around it then added to the card front using dimensionals.  I stamped the flower using versmark on vellum cardstock, white embossed and punched using the Blossom Punch and layered onto a Daffodil Delight Blossom Punch.  The center of the flower starts with the Designer Build a Brad, then the Round Array first stamp in Basic Grey on Daffodil Delight then punched with the 7/8″ Scallop Circle punch then on Whisper White, cut out and added.  The brad is added to the flower then the flower added to the banner using dimensionals.

So…looking for a fun challenge to join?  Then check us out!  Head on over to Create with Connie and Mary to see the wonderful designs from the team and then join us!
