The NOT so simple clean and simple card! So today (as in all Mondays) is the clean and simple challenge on SCS. You all know how I LOVE that challenge. Today it was an inspiration picture from pintrest of this AWESOME cake that was black and gold and had poppies on it. I immediately thought of this stamp. I really should have stopped there. I am absolutely NO GOOD at coloring and it takes me FOREVER!!! Where I can usually whip out a CAS card in under 15 mins…the coloring along probably took me 1/2 hour. But…it turned out cute so I thought I’d share.
The base of the card is Basic Black (like the cake). I stamped the poppies using StazOn Jet Black on watercolor paper then used my Riding Hood Red, Lucky Limeade and More Mustard markers to color in along with a blender pen. This is mounted on a piece of Riding Hood Red then onto the card base. Next I stamped the greeting using Basic Black on More Mustard, cut into a banner and added to the card front. I colored the pearls using my Gold Glimmer marker (makes them look Lucky Limeade in real life) then added to the card to finish it off.
