Lacy & Lovely

Lacy & LovelyHappy Easter everyone!  Isn’t this a fun set?  I think it is!  So much so I used it for my set this week on Create with Connie and Mary Card “Create”tions which starts TODAY!!!!

Such a fun card!  Although I wouldn’t really consider this CAS, it is from the sketch on the CAS – Clean and Simple Blog.  I decided to keep things to just two colors – Calypso Coral and Midnight Must.  I like how these two color complement each other.

The base of the card is Calypso Coral. I took a piece of Whisper White, stamped the larger lacy image in Midnight Muse, stamped the greeting in Calypso Coral, layered on Midnight Muse and added Incolor Printed Designer Brads then added this panel to the card front using dimensionals.  I stamped the flower image in Midnight Muse, punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch, layered on Calypso Coral 1 1/4″ Scallop Circle, added an Incolor Designer Printed Brad then added to the card front using dimensionals.

Card Create-tionsI LOVE the card set I made using this set but to see it (and the other 17 card sets still to come!) you need be a subscriber to Create with Connie and Mary Card “Create”tions edition!  But it’s easy to join…just head over to Create with Connie and Mary to learn more….it’s only $19.95 for 18 card set ideas!  We just started today (Sunday) so it’s a GREAT day to join up!  It’s three weeks filled with GREAT ideas with sets from the catalog and some from the Spring Mini.

Take Care & BLOG CANDY!!!

Preview FavorOh how cool!  We have come to the end of Preview Week for Create with Connie and Mary Care  “Create”tions and tomorrow we go LIVE with Card “Create”tions for All Occasions!  Boy…are we ever excited!  The designers have been busy creating and we are read to roll!

Preview Wk2Each week we have set aside Saturday though for our designers to share (publicly) a small treat that uses their set from the week.  If you remember on Monday I shared my Preview set using Take Care and here’s my little favor to go along with it.  It’s pretty ‘self-explanatory’ as I used a small test-tube to hold some ‘mini-egg’s’.  I stamped the tree in Early Espresso on Whisper White and cut out.  Next I punched the leaves from Gumball Green using the bitty ornament punch, folded and added using Tombow Multipurpose Glue.  The next was stamped using Early Espresso Crumb Cake.  I stamped this twice.  One I punched out with the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch.  The other I punched first with the 3/4″ Circle Punch then the 1 1/4″ Circle punch and layered this on the 1 3/8″ one using dimensionals.  I stamped the egss in Tempting Turquoise, cut out and added inside the next using dimensionals.  Finally I stamped the greeting in Tempting Turquoise on Whisper White, cut into a banner, added behind then nest then added the nest to the branch.  I wrapped a piece of Print Poetry dsp around the test tube then attached my brand to that so it can easily slide off.

Million-Dollar Moments

DSC00622Since it is the end of March we are getting ready for “April Showers” coming soon so what could be better than a shower of flowers!  Anyway it is time for the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge and this is sketch week time!

The base of the card is Pool Party.  I took another piece of Pool Party, ran through the clouds folder and added to the card front.  I added a Real Red Banner, stamped the greeting in Basic Black on Sahara Sand, cut into a banner and added both to the card front.  I stamped the silhouette in Sahara Sand on Whisper White and cut with eh Oval Framelit.  I stamped the girl again in Real Red and clear embossed, cut out the boots and umbrella, glued the boots on and added the umbrella using a dimensional.  I inked the flowers in Pool Party and Real Red, stamped on the oval then added to the card front using dimensionals to finish it off.

Now don’t forget…fun sketch…join the fun at Create with Connie and Mary!

Blooming with Kindness

HopeCAS…clean and simple.  You all know that I LOVE it!  You can hardly get more clean and simple than this card.  The CASology theme this time is HOPE and I immediately thought of this set as I love both the image and this greeting.

There really is just two pieces of paper here…Whisper White 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 base and then the stamped panel.  To give the image a little more interest, I used the technique ‘thumping’…it is just perfect with this stamp.  So the flower is Pink Pirouette and ‘thumped’ with Regal Rose and the stem is Certainly Celery.  I stamped the image a little off the panel again for a little additional interest.  The greeting is stamped in Basic Grey.  Yep…that is all there is to my CAS card.

And speaking of card…Create with Connie and Mary are at it again…this time with Card ‘Create’tions for All Occasions.  Want more information…check out Preview Week going on now at Create with Connie and Mary.  Just scroll down through the posts to learn more!

Take CareAnd now on to my card.  I wanted to use my Preview Week set (Take Care) again and was looking for a challenge that would work.  Well the SCS sketch challenge was perfect for it…especially where I used the branch as a tree and not well, a branch!  Here’s a few details…

The base of the card is Daffodil Delight.  I took two strips of the striped design from the Print Poetry dsp pack and add to the base.  Next I wrapped around a piece of the Midnight Muse Stitched Satin Ribbon.  I used my ovals framelits to cut an oval from Whisper White, ran it through the Clouds Embossing Folder and added that to the card base.  Next I made my tree.  I stamped the branch using Early Espresso on Whisper White and cut out.  I used three different prints from the Print Poetry pack.  I used the 2 3/8″ Scallop Circle for the base, then the 7/8″ Scallop Circle for the smaller ones.  I did 3 of one print and 2 of the lightest print.  The light ones are added using dimensionals.  I punched little flowers from Marina Mist and added those to the tree.  The tree was added using dimensionals.  Next I stamp Take Care using Midnight Muse on Very Vanilla, cut into a banner, add a heart paper clip from the Elements pack, tie a piece of the Midnight Muse ribbon on it then added to the card front.  I used some Basic Rhinestones in the centers of the flowers and inside the heart to finish it off.

Set(s): Take Care
Paper: Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, Print Poetry dsp pack
Ink: Early Espresso, Midnight Muse
Other: Bitty Punches, 2 3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch, 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch, Elements Paper Clips, Midnight Muse Stitched Satin Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones, Cloud Embossing Folder, Ovals Framelits, Dimensionals

Take Care

TSSCOh…today is a VERY BUSY day for my blog!  First…here is my card for the Techonostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.  I’ve REALLY been having fun with this set!  Would you like to see 4 more cards using this set, get a free downloadable project sheet for those four cards AND sign up for blog candy?  Then check out this post!  But don’t delay…you must sign up for the blog candy today (Monday!)

Okay…some quick notes about this card.  The base of the card is Marina Mist.  I took a piece of Very Vanilla, added a piece of the dsp from the Print Poetry pack and layered onto Midnight Muse.  Next I stamped the branch using Early Espresso on Very Vanilla and cut out.  I cut the branch towards the right side (under the nest) so that it would extend all the way across my card front.  I stamped Take Care using Midnight Muse then added to the panel to the card front using dimensionals.  Aren’t they cool leaves?  Well they are the ‘ornament bitty punch’.  I trimmed off the hanger part and they were a perfect sized leaf for this image.  The bird’s nest is stamped using Early Espresso on Crumb Cake.  This is done twice (my download project sheet – link above) give the details how I made my nest), punched, layered and added to the card front.  Finally I stamped the eggs using Marina Mist, cut out and added to the nest using dimensionals.

Some quick notes…base of the card is Real Red.  I took a piece of Whisper White, ran it though the woodgrain embossing folder and added to the care front.  Next I took a piece of Whisper White, cut into a banner, stamped this little cutie on there, colored with Bashful Clue, Real Red and Crumb Cake marker and tied a pies of Real Red Stitched Grosgrain around it.  I cut another banner (longer and thinner then my Whisper White one) from Bashful Blue, added it to the card base then added my little birdie banner using dimensionals to finish it off.
