Bloomin’ Marvelous

DSC00567The inspiration challenge this week is an Etsy store called Octo-purse.  I was just cruising through this when I saw this cute little purse.  I love when looking at it, it looked like the butterflies and circle spelled WOW.  Then I saw this cute little purse and loved the colors so you put the two together and you get my card!

Some quick notes…the base of the card is Whisper White.  I added a Pacific Point Banner and a Tempting Turquoise Banner.  Next I took another piece of Whisper White, ran it through the Clouds Embossing Folder then added to the card front using dimensionals.  I then made a banner out of Gumball Green, added a strip of Pacific Point, cut into a banner and add to the card front.  I stamped the “you’re the best” using Basic Black on Whisper White then cut out using the Label Framelit.  I tied on the Turquoise button using Whisper White Bakers Twine and added the label to the card front using dimensionals.  I stamped the butterfly from Bloomin’ Marvelous using Gumball Green and Pacific Point, punched with the Bitty Butterfly and added to the card front using glue dots.

Set(s): Bloomin’ Marvelous, Friendly Phrases
Paper: Whisper White, Gumball Green, Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point
Ink: Basic Black, Gumball Green, Pacific Point
Other: Bitty Butterfly Punch, Clouds Embossing Folder, Brights Buttons, Whisper White Bakers Twine, Label Framelits, Dimensionals

Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!

  1. Those little purses were the perfect inspiration for your card. Love the colour palette and the layout you chose to highlight the button and butterflies. Thanks for linking your project to still addINKtive this week.

  2. I love your interpretation of the purse fabric! I would not have thought of using the butterflies as w’s.

  3. LOVE the splash of colour! Great design, Mary (I had to look again as I didn’t pick the wow from the purse image, lol). Thank you for sharing your pretty project with us at still addINKtive! 🙂
