Watercolor Winter

CAS 201 001The CAS challenge is a very pretty Christmas photo that has lovely country candles on it.  I do not have any Christmas style candle images to use but went instead with the feel of the photo (which for me was the Peace on Earth) and the greenery and berries.  I kept my card very simple with the holly and berry sprigs and a simple label.

The base of the card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 Very Vanilla.  I took another piece of Very Vanilla and added to the card base using dimensionals.  I stamped the greeting in Riding Hood Red and Always Artichoke, punched with the Decorative Label and added using dimensionals.  Next I stamped the outline image using StazOn JetBlack and then the colored in parts using Always Artichoke and Riding Hood Red.  I cut these out (yes, I am crazy!) and added to the card front to finish it off.

Set(s): Watercolor Winter, Greetings of the Season
Paper: Very Vanilla
Ink: StazOn Jet Black, Riding Hood Red, Always Artichoke
Other: Decorative Label Punch, Dimensionals

Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!

Christmas Bow

Here is another of the cards I did for the CAS 200th celebration last weekend.  The challenge was to use ribbon and bows on your card.  Lately I’ve been into making paper bows (got the template from My Digital Studio – LOVE IT!!!)  This is such a quick and easy card!

The base of the card is Very Vanilla.  I took a print from the Be of Good Cheer dsp added to the bottom and rounded the corners.  I added a piece of the Cherry Cobbler dsp from the same pack along the top.  I inked the greeting using Gumball Green and Cherry Cobbler markers and stamped on card front.  I traced my template on the dsp, cut out, added a Gumball Green Dahlia to the center then added to the card front to finish it off.  Yep…it was THAT easy!

Set(s): More Merry Message
Paper: Very Vanilla, Be of Good Cheer dsp
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green
Other: Corner Rounder, Incolor Dahlias, My Digital Studio (where I got the pattern for the bow)

Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!
