Bloomin’ Marvelous

SAB 002Well…it is almost the BEST time of year…Sale-a-bration! Now I know that SAB doesn’t start until the end of January, but I have a little sneak peek for you as we announce the start of the Early Bird Special on Create with Connie and Mary!

So I made this quick card to celebrate end of the year and the soon to start new Spring Mini and the next edition of Create with Connie and Mary!

Some quick notes…base of the card is Whisper White 4 1/4 x 4 1/4.  I took another piece of Whisper White and added a lattice in Whisper White using dimensionals.  I haven’t used this die in AGES.  I did the greeting in Midnight Muse and Wild Wasabi, punched with the large oval die and added using dimensionals.  The flowers are in Daffodil Delight and Midnight Muse, leaves in Wild Wasabi, cut out and added using dimensionals.  The little flowers are the Bitty Punch in Midnight Muse with a 1/8″ Daffodil Delight center.

Paper: Whisper White, Midnight Muse, Daffodil Delight
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Midnight Muse, Wild Wasabi

New Years

Oh…we have ALMOST made it through this year.  DANG…it was a rough one!  I will be happy to see 2013!  To help us count down to the new year I did this fun card with the color challenge on Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  The challenge is to use Pool Party, Whisper White and Silver!

The base of the card is Whisper White and I ran it through the Chevron Embossing Folder,  Next I took another piece of Whisper White and embossed happy new year (from the single New Years stamp) in silver.  I stamped the ‘count down’ images in Pool Party, cut out and added using dimensionals.  I added some silver glimmer stars (Merry Mini punch pack) and Basic Rhinestones.  I added a strip of Pool Party along the top and used the largest Bitty Banner framelit to cut banners from Pool Party, Silver Glimmer, and the Pool Party print in the Comfort Cafe dsp pack.  These were added behind the panel then the panel was added using dimensionals.

Set(s): New Years
Paper: Whisper White, Pool Party, Silver Glimmer
Ink: Pool Party, Versamark
Other: Silver Embossing Powder, Chevron Embossing Folder, Bitty Banner Framelit Merry Mini Punch Pack, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Happy Birthday

CAS Party 002This was another card I did for the CAS200 party celebration!  Black, White, Silver…you really can’t go wrong with that!  This was really for two different challenges…one was to use sparkly on your card and the other was to use balloons on your card.

Really simple card…the base is Whisper White.  Took another piece of Whisper White and embossed happy birthday in silver.  I stamped the balloon strings (from Patterned Party) in Basic Black.  I made my balloons from the small oval punch and the one 4 petal flower in the Bitty Punch pack.  Some of the balloon are added using dimensionals and the panel is added using dimensionals. too.  Yep…it really was THAT easy!  CAS ROCKS!!!

Set(s): Sassy Salutations, Patterned Party
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Silver Glimmer
Ink: Basic Black, Versamark
Other: Small Oval, Itty Bitty Punch Pack, Silver Embossing Powder, Dimensionals

Merry Christmas!

To all my stamping friends…A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Even though today is Christmas, it is still the start of an SUO challenge!  Robin, our challenge ‘mom’, picked a perfect challenge for today…make it blue!  I decided to do a simple card to wish everyone Merry Christmas today!

The base of the card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 Whisper White.  I took another piece of Whisper White, ran it through the Polka Dotted folder and added to the card front.  Next I took strip of Whisper White, embossed the tree from Lovely as a Tree in Whisper White and sponged around it using Midnight Muse.  I ripped some Whisper White and Silver Glimmer to make the ‘snow’ on the bottom, added some 1/4″ Silver Glimmer circles and a Silver Glimmer Star on the tree to finish it off.  Next I added a strip of the Silver Glimmer along the side and then a Finishing Touches edgelit in Midnight Muse.  This panel is added to the card front using dimensionals.  I stamped the Merry Christmas in Midnight Muse, punched with the 3/4″ Circle Punch, sponged around the edges, added to a 1″ Silver Glimmer Circle, then a 1 1/4″ Midnight Must Scallop Circle.  This is added to the card front using dimensionals to finish it off.

Set(s): Lovely as a Tree, Mixed Medley
Paper: Whisper White, Midnight Muse, Silver Glimmer
Ink: Versamark, Midnight Muse
Other: Polka Dotted Embossing Folder, White Embossing Powder, 3/4″ Circle Punch, 1″ Circle Punch 1 1/4″ Scallop Circle Punch, 1/4″ Hole Punch, Merry Minis Punch Pack, Finishing Touches Edgelits, Dimensionals

No Peeking

CAS Party 006Here is another card I made for the CAS200 celebration!  The challenge was to make a card inspired by a Holiday song.  Hmmm can you guess which song inspired this one?  Yep…it was Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer!

Easy peasy card!  The base of the card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 Whisper White.  I took another piece of Whisper White and ran it through the Snow Flurry Embossing folder and added to the card front using dimensional.  Rudolph is stamped in Soft Sued on a piece of Whisper White, the little scarf is stamped on Gumball Green, cut out and added, the greeting is stamped using Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green.  I used  large Bitty Banner Framelit to make the two banners – one from Red Glimmer and the other from a scrap of Be of Good Cheer dsp.  This panel is added to the card front using dimensionals.  Finally Rudolph’s nose is a 1/8″ red glimmer circle.

Set(s): No Peeking, More Merry Messages
Paper: Whisper White, Red Glimmer, Gumball Green, Be of Good Cheer dsp
Ink: Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green
Other: Snow Flurry Embossing Folder, Bitty Banner Framelits, 1/8″ Hole Punch, Dimensionals

Bold Snowflake

Christmas Card 001So I decided to make some cards for Christmas (didn’t have enough ‘non-lumpy’ ones in my stash).  I wanted to use the single Bold Snowflake stamp and I wanted to keep it pretty simple.  I found this GREAT card by my friend Connie and changed it up a bit.  I made a bunch of these up in no time at all!

The base of the card is Very Vanilla.  I took another piece of Very Vanilla and ran it through the Petals a Plenty Embossing Folder and added to the card front.  Next I took another piece of Very Vanilla, stamped the greeting in Cherry Cobbler and added to the card front.  I did the large and small snowflakes from the Snow Flurry die in Cherry Cobbler.  I stamped the snowflake in versamark, gold embossed and punched with the Blossom punch.  I layered the snowflakes all together and added a Champagne Glimmer circle to finish it all off.  So nice and easy!

Set(s): Bold Snowflake (a la carte), More Merry Messages
Paper: Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Champagne Glimmer
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Versamark
Other: Petals a Plenty Embossing Folder, Snow Flurry Die, Gold Embossing Folder, Blossom Punch, Bitty Punch Pack

Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!

Watercolor Winter

Dec Crew 001It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!  We actually had a little snow on outside this morning when we woke up.  Today I need to get some running around done.  At least I finally got my Christmas cards finished and mailed yesterday.

Trying to get some of the cards I made ‘early’ posted on my blog before the holiday os over!  This was a card I made for the December Creative Crew on SCS.  The challenge was to incorporate newsprint/book print in your card.  The base of the card is Riding Hood Red,  I took a piece of the First Edition, stamped the outline poinsettia in Basic Black and the more solid image in Riding Hood Red.  I layered this on Basic Black then to the card front.  Next I took a piece of Lucky Limeade, cut into a banner, ran it through the Delicate Designs Embossing Folder, added a piece of Champagne Glimmer paper then added to the card front.  I stamped the greeting in Lucky Limeade, punched with the Decorative Label punch and added to the card front using dimensionals.  I stamped an additional flower on the newsprint – I did one in Riding Hood Red and one in Lucky Limeade (for the leaves), cute them out and layered onto the card front using dimensionals.  I finished it off by coloring some Basic Pearls with the Gold Glimmer pen and adding to the center of the poinsettia.

Gee…what will I post once Christmas is over?  Oh…that’s right…NEW STUFF!!!

Set(s): Watercolor Winter, Petite Pairs
Paper: Very Vanilla, Riding Hood Red, Lucky Limeade, Basic Black, Champagne Glimmer, First Edition dsp
Ink: Basic Black, Riding Hood Red, Lucky Limeade
Other: Decorative Label Punch, Delicate Designs Embossing Folder, Basic Pearls, Gold Glimmer Pen, Dimensionals

Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!
