Googly Ghouls

This really is a much more detailed kind of a card than I typically like to do.  And…OH MY…it uses three DIFFERENT prints on the same card!  LORDY BE…what is this world coming too?   You know I like to keep my stuff nice and clean looking without a lot of clutter but I do think this works.

The base of the card is Pumpkin Pie.  From the Howlstooth and Scaringbone dsp I started with the Basic Grey polka dotted paper and added to the card front.  I took the Tangerine Chevron, added a Basic Black Large Scallop edgelit behind it, added to the card front then added a strip of More Mustard.  I took the Vanilla/Black strip, rounded the corners and added using dimensionals.  Next is a piece of Tangerine Tango, cur into a banner and added on a diagonal.  I punched out a 2 1/2″ More Mustard circle and added that using dimensionals.  I stamped Franky, Mummy and bats using Basic Black on Very Vanilla, cut everything out and added those using dimensionals (LOTS and LOTS of dimensionals!).  I stamped boo (didn’t do all the o’s on the stamp…wanted it short) using Basic Black on Pumpkin Pie, cut with the Bitty Banner Framelit and added using dimensionals (of course).  Finally I added some Googlies to finish things off!

Googly Ghouls

But before I get to that I’ve made a little card to share with you!  Our Preview Designer Today used the same set for her ADORABLE project and I just couldn’t resist using the same one too!  The base of the card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 Basic Grey.  I added a piece of the Tangerine Tango large polka dot print from the Howlstooth & Scaringbone dsp pack using dimensionals.  Next I took a piece of Basic Grey, cut out the center using the Windows Framelits, ran it through the Chevron Folder and added using dimensionals.  I added the circle punch out piece from the Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit, stamped Boooo form the Googly Ghouls set on Pumpkin Pie, cut out with the large Bitty Banner Framelit, stamped the bat twice using Basic Black, cut out and added using dimensionals.  I added googlies to the bats’ eyes and some Basic Rhinestones to finish it off.

Joyous Celebrations

This really was a quick and easy card.  The base of the card is Whisper White 4 /14 x 4 1/4.  I too another piece of Whisper White, ran it through the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder and then added to the card front using dimensionals.  Next I let my Snow Flurry die do all the work!  I did the biggest and smallest snowflakes in Silver Glimmer (note to self…need more silver glimmer…just about out!), then I did two of the Whisper White medium snowflakes.  Which layer of the snowflakes is added using a dimensional then the snowflake is added using a dimensional.  I stamped the greeting from Joyous Celebrations and embossed with silver embossing powder (which is just a little lighter than the pewter embossing powder so went better with my silver and white them on the card).  I cut this into a banner then layered strips from the ribbon lace punch above and below it before added it to the card front using dimensionals.

Paper: Whisper White, Silver Glimmer
Ink: Versamark

Scentsational Seasons

If you remember my card from Wednesday it has a similar ‘look and feel’ to it.  I actually made this one first and like it so much did another one!  The base of the card is Island Indigo.  I took a piece of Early Espresso and rounded the corners on the right side.  I round the corners on a piece of Bashful Blue and added to the Early Espresso panel.  I added the striped print from the Festival Prints pack, added an Early Espresso Scallop edge, added a piece of the Natural 7/8″ Cotton Ribbon.  I made a ‘bow’ (<a href=”https://stampercamper.com/cardpost/making_bows”>click here for my tutorial</a>) using the ribbon an Island Indigo Printed Brad, added to the panel then added the panel to the card front using dimensionals.  I punch a 2 1/2″ circle and added to the card using dimensionals.  The mug is Island Indigo and Early Espresso, the steam Early Espresso, cut out with the Holiday Collection Framelits then added using dimensionals.  I did the banner in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla, cut with the Bitty Banner Framelit and added using dimensionals to finish it off.

Scentsational Season

Just a couple quick notes on this.  The base of the card if 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 Whisper White.  I took another piece of Whisper White, pierced the design in there, layered onto Cherry Cobbler then to the card front using dimensionals.  I punched out a Whisper White Wide Oval punch and added to the Cherry Cobbler Decorative label punch, using dimensionals then to the card front using dimensionals.  (LOTS and LOTS of dimensionals).  I stamped the greeting using Cherry Cobbler on Whisper White, layered on to a piece of Cherry Cobbler Ribbon Lace, cut into a banner and added to a striped banner from the Snow Festival pack.  This is added to the oval piece.  Next stamped the candy cane twice using Cherry Cobbler, cut with the Holiday Collection framelit then added these using dimensionals to finish things off.

Ornament Keepsake

The base of the card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 Pink Pirouette.  I took two of the prints from Snow Festival (LOVE all the options in this pack), cut into banners and added to the card front.  Next I took a piece of the Silver Glimmer paper (can’t get enough of that either) and added to the card front.  I embossed the designer frame on Whisper White, cut out and used my Primrose Petal Marker on the inside raised frame for a little extra detail.  I did the longer ornament in Cherry Cobbler and the smaller one in Baja Breeze, cut with the matching framelits.  I used the silver glimmer pen on the top of the ornaments and to draw in the lines.  The ornaments are added using dimensionals then the frame was added to the card front using dimensionals too!  I inked the merry from Tiny Tags using Basic Grey and Cherry Cobbler markers and stamped on the card front to finish it off!

A Little Christmas Favor

This turned out sooooo cute, that I thought I’d make a little tutorial for you!

For the ‘box’ portion of the favor, use the fancy favor die.  The ‘height’ of the finished box is 2 1/8″ just so you do not need to cut out the full box. I think I used a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock so I could get two of these from a piece of cardstock.

Next cut a piece of designer series paper 12″ x 3″.  Put one end through the window framelit that fits the size of the paper.  Run it through the Big Shot.  I only went through to catch the part that would cut then backed it back out.

Put your box together.

Now start by applying to the front of the box, wrapped around the bottom and up the back like in the pictures.

Fold a print tag like this picture.

Add adhesive to the back like in this picture….make sure you DON’T put any on the top as you will slide the top of your dsp under the tag as your closure.

Set(s): Affection Collection
Paper: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Snow Festival dsp, Snow Festival Designer Printed Tags
Ink: Gumball Green
Other: Fancy Favor XL Die, Hearts Framelits, Ribbon Lace Punch, Windows Framelits, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Fall Banner

I LOVE making framed art.  Now really…I think it is just more fun than ANYTHING!!  (okay…cards first….especially CAS ones…then framed art!)  I have this whole collection of frames I have picked up over the years in so many different sizes and colors.  This was one of the frames from my collection.  I’m not going to go into a lot of details on this but just some general directions.

Basically I used the Howlstooth and Scaringbones dsp as the inspiration for the colors on my piece and that was what I used for my ‘banners’ (and the bottom left grey/vanilla polka dotted panel).  The More Mustard background used the leaves from Autumn Accents Die in More Mustard to create a texture.  I used the Large Scallop Edgelit and some of the Grey/Black striped satin ribbon on the base.  The letters are Basic Black that I layered onto cardboard then cut out with the Typeset Alphabet dies.  The decorations were leaves cut from More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Basic Grey and Champagne Glimmer paper.  The flowers are Champagne Glimmer Boho Blossom Punch with a Basic Black brad in the center.  The banner is strung together with a piece of Very Vanilla 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon.  Oh and of course, lots and lots and lots of dimensionals.

Tweet Leaves

If are are a frequent visitor to my blog you probably noticed my love of this little ‘Tweet Leaves’ stamp done in emboss resist.  Yep..LOVE it!  Well, I still had one more leaf ready to go so thought I’d made a CAS card for the hope.  The base of the card is Very Vanilla 3 x 5 1/2 and I rounded the upper left corner and ran it through the Woodgrain Embossing Folder.  I took another piece of Very Vanilla, round the upper right corner.  I cut out the Maple Leaf from the Autumn Accents die, stamped the image using versamark (I used a stamp-a-ma-jig for placement) and clear embossed.  I then sponged More Mustard, Lucky Limeade and Cherry Cobble ink on it.  I cut out some leaves from the Champagne Glimmer paper and added them behind the leaf then added the leaf to the panel.  I made a ‘bow’ from the Natural Cotton 7/8″ Ribbon and a Lucky Limeade Printed Designer Brad and added to the panel.  Finally I stamped the greeting using Cherry Cobbler then added the panel to the card front using dimensionals.
