Wonderfall

This really is a quick and easy card!  The base of the card is Lucky Limeade.  I took a piece of Very Vanilla, ran it through the Woodgrain Embossing Folder, layered it onto Rich Razzleberry then to the card front using dimensionals.  I used the Autumn Accents Die to cut leaves out of Very Vanilla then stamped the images from Wonderfall – large leaf/Lucky Limeade, medium leaf/Rich Razzleberry, small leaf/Night of Navy then layered these onto the card front. (HINT:  I used the stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure everything lined up good!)  I stamped the greeting using Versamark on Night of Navy and and embossed in white (my secret Create word is “it”), cut out using the Bitty Banners framelit and added to the card front.  I made the bow from Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon, Rich Razzleberry Button and Whisper White Bakers Twine.  The button is added using Glue Dots.

Perfectly Preserved

I’m going to ‘mix things up’ a bit and start by showing you my card!  Well…technically this is the SECOND card I made for today but after I finished the first one, I just was NOT happy with it.  Have you ever had that happen to you?  Well, after looking at that first one for awhile and deciding I didn’t like it, I made this one!

The base of the card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 More Mustard and I ran it through the Woodgrain Embossing Folder.  I used my Scallop Square Duo die and did the largest one in Raspberry Ripple, layered a piece of the apple print from the Orchard Harvest dsp pack in the center then added this to the card front using dimensionals.  I stamped the jar using Early Espresso, the lid using Cajun Craze, the flower using More Mustard, the applie in Raspberry Ripple and More Mustard and the leaves using Early Espresso and Lucky Limeade.  These were all cut out using the Cannery Set Framelits  The greeting is stamped in Early Espresso on Lucky Limeade then cut out using the Bitty Banner Framelit.  The jar is added to the card front using dimensionals.  I wrapped a small piece of Early Espresso 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon around the lid then added to the jar.  The flower was added using dimensionals and a Rhinestone added to the center.  The apples were added inside the jar then the greeting added using dimensionals to finish it off.

Tweet Leaves

Okay…and now onto my card for today (which I just LOVE!!!)  I think the Tweet Leaves stamp is just THE CUTEST!!!  My favorite look for it is to do emboss resist (stamp with versamark, clear emboss then rub ink over the image)…and you are going to see several cool examples over the coming weeks with this!  Mary Jo gave us such a fabulous sketch that was perfect…just perfect for this!. The base of the card is More Mustard and I added a piece of Very Vanilla.  I used the Large Scallop Edgelit on a piece of Pacific Point and layered it behind the Pacific Point gingham dsp from the Orchard Harvest pack.  I stamped the greeting using Early Espresso on Lucky Limeade, cut into a banner, made a ‘bow’ (<a href=”https://stampercamper.com/cardpost/making_bows”>click here for my tutorial</a>) using the cotton 7/8″ ribbon and a Lucky Limeade brad, add the ‘bow’ to the banner then added this to the gingham strip.  I added two brads, then added all this to the card front.  I cut the leaf from Very Vanilla, stamped using Versamark, clear embossed and then used More Mustard, Lucky Limeade and Pacific Point ink. I added the leaf to the card front using dimensionals.

Fall Broom Centerpiece

Have you ever had an idea pop into your head and when you sit down to make it, it turns out exactly the way you had imagined it?  Yep…that seldom happens to me either but in this case…it turned out EXACTLY the way I had imagined it!  And how cool is that?  VERY COOL!

Now I will have to say…I haven’t not used by petal cone die much but I was thinking how that would make such a great broom.  And it did!  Between the Petal Cone Die, Coordinations Paper and Woodgrain Embossing Folder, the Autumn Accents Die and the Wonderful set and the Typeset Alphabet Dies….this really is soooo easy.

Would you like to get the FREE FULL downloadable tutorial for this?  (Trust me…it’s GOOD!!!) Head on over to Create with Connie and Mary and you will be able to download the tutorial for free.  Look on the right hand side of the page under Holiday 2012 Preview Projects and you will see the link to my tutorial there!  Supplies and everything you need will be there too!

Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!

Googly Ghouls

Oh…I have not had a chance to play in the colourq challenge in such a long time but I just had to make time for the one this week…it is just sooooo perfect for an idea I wanted to do.

Aren’t these just FABULOUS colors?  I LOVE them!  As soon as I saw the colors I immediately thought about a fun Halloween card.  I’m not really a Halloween kind of girl but I have to admit that little mummy in the Goggly Ghouls set is just THE CUTEST!!!  And those googlie eyes?  OH YES!!!!

The base of the card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 Whisper White.  I took another piece of Whisper White and added a bunch of pieces (Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise, Basic Grey, Basic Black) punched with the one Little Labels Punch.  LOVE ‘EM!!!  I did three ‘strips’ of the little label punches.  The panel is added to the card front using dimensionals.  I punched out a Tempting Turquoise Wide Oval punch and used the piercing template to add a pierced oval inside of this.  This is added to the card front using dimensionals.  I stamped the mummy in Basic Black on Whisper White, cut out and added using dimensionals.  I stamped BOO in Basic Black on Pumpkin Pie, cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelit and added using dimensionals and glue dots.  It needed just a little more to finish it off so I added some googlies to the mummy, boooo and two of the punches.

Set(s): Googly Ghouls
Paper: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise, Basic Grey, Basic Black
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Little Labels Punches, Wide Oval Punches, Essentials Paper Piercing Templates, Bitty Banners Framelits, Googlies, Dimensionals

Snow Much Fun

The base of the card is Pink Pirouette.  I took the blue snowflake print from the Snow Festival dsp pack, rounded the upper left corner and added to the card base.  Next I took a piece of the Cherry Cobbler print and added to the cardfront.  Next up a piece of Whisper White, rounded the bottom ht corner and added to the card front.  I stamped the cute little round snowman using StazOn Jet Black ink, colored with the Cherry Cobbler, Pink Pirouette and Baja Breeze ink and an AquaPainter, cut it out and added to the card front using dimensionals. I stamped the greeting using Basic Black on Primrose Petals, cut into a banner using the Bitty Banners Framelit, and added to the card front using dimensionals and glue dots.  It needed just a ‘little extra’ so I added some Basic Rhinestone all over for that touch of ‘bling’.

Ink: StazOn Jet Black, Baja Breeze, Cherry Cobbler, Pink Pirouette
