Baby Boutique

I think this little boat is soooo adorable!  I decided to go all out with this little image.  The base of the card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 Whisper White.  I took another piece of Whisper White and added a piece of Pool Party with the ‘cut out’ part of the large scallop framelit and then did the same with the strip print from the Storybook dsp. I added a thin strip of Pool Party then added this to the card front using dimensionals.  The boat is a base of Basic Grey then the one sail in Cherry Cobbler and the other in Old Olive.  These are cut out and added using dimensionals.    I did a little tiny flag in So Saffron and added that to the mast and then the whole boat is added using dimensionals.  I stamped the greeting using Cherry Cobbler on So Saffron and cut out using Bitty Banner framelits and added using dimensionals I punch out a 1 1/4″ So Saffron Circle, ran through the Polka Dotted Embossing Folder then added to the card front using dimensionals to finish it off.

Storybook Friends

What do you think of my AMAZING ability to color?  Pretty incredible isn’t it?  LOL…yep…I cut a panel from the dsp to use instead of stamping an image.  I was looking at the border on the one piece of paper and thought how these two particular children would work perfectly for the sketch!  Really such an easy card (when you don’t have to color!!!).  The base of the card is Pool Party.  I took three strips of the red grid print, layered onto Crumb Cake,  Next I cut out the panel and added that using some dimensionals.  Oh wait…look…there IS some stamping!  I stamped the greeting using Early Espresso, Real Red, and Crumb Cake markers on Whisper White, cut with the Bitty Banners Framelits and added using dimensionals.  Finally I made a ‘bow’ (click on the tutorials tab above to access it) using Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon and green brad, added to the panel then added the panel to the card front…see…EASY AS CAN BE!!!

Flowering Flourishes

This really was an easy card.  The base of the card is Pink Pirouette.  I took a piece of the Pink Pirouette dsp and added to the card front using dimensionals.  I stamped the flourish image using Lucky Limeade on Whisper White and cut out using the Apothecary Accents Framelit and added to the card front using dimensionals.  I made the flowers using Primrose Petal, Regal Rose and Pink Pirouette cardstock with the Boho Blossom punch and a white brad and added to the flourish.  I stamped the greeting using Basic Grey on Regal Rose, cut into a banner, made a ‘bow’ (click on tutorial tab above) using Pink Pirouette 3/8″ Taffeta Ribbon and a white brad, added to the banner and added the banner to the card front using dimensionals.

Razzleberry Splash AGAIN

Every now and then I run into a challenge that is REALLY a challenge for me and I will have to admit…this was one of them!  We try to always use whatever we used that week for our challenge an although I had some ideas…they just weren’t working for my challenge card today.  I FINALLY had this ‘brilliant’ idea (at least while I was drifting off to sleep the night before I made it I was hoping it was brilliant) and it did actually work out.

So…can you guess what I used for the bottom layer of the flower?  Well…it’s the largest framelit from the Apothecary Accents set!  Okay…because I KNOW I’m going to have questions  here’s a quick little tutorial.

Cut out 4 of the framelit pieces and from each end cut a 1 5/8″ piece.  Now it is difficult to see from the photo but I scored part way up in the center then I did 3/8″ and another 3/8″ on EACH side of that center line – do not score all the way to the top!

I added a line of tape to the front and back then folded it up to make a flower.  I made 6 petal 6for my card.  Next I used my 1/16″ hole punch and punched a hole in the bottom of each so I could string them together.

I just used some Baker’s Twine to string them together…leaving one end hanging so I could tie it together when I was done.

And this is the flower base all tied up and ready to go.

And this is the flower base all tied up and ready to go.

And here’s the flower all finished up!

So that’s a quick little tutorial on how I made my fun 3D flower…oh I LOVE this kit!

Razzleberry Splash 4

This is actually based on Mary Jo’s Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge from LAST week!  I was a fun little sketch and perfect for the stuff in this kit.  This is a fun and easy card.  The base of the card is Night of Navy.  I added a piece of Pink Pirouetted on the top and three prints from the kit on the bottom.  I took a Whisper White Panel added a scallop edge Lucky Limeade piece under it and a thin Night of Navy strip (from the borders) on the top. This is added to the card front using dimensionals.  I added the flower and leaves using dimensionals.  I stamped the greeting in Night of Navy on Pink Pirouette and used the Bitty Banners Framelits to cut out.  This is added to the card front to finish it off.

Razzleberry Splash 2

So this past week we all were using the SS Kits for Create with Connie and Mary New Catalog Edition when we were making our projects.  Can you guess what I picked?  LOL!!!  Yep…it’s that easy!  Anyway…I do love the colors and wanted to show another card with this.  (oh…and guess what…I’m showing two more tomorrow…these are NOT my project for Create with Connie and Mary…you have to be a subscriber to see those but just some others that I made).

Some quick notes for a quick card…the base of the card is Pink Pirouette.  I took a print from the kit, added to the base of the card then wrapped around a piece of the Night of Navy 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain ribbon.  I Layered a Whisper White piece one two print pieces from the kit (I did change up the sketch just a little).  This is added to the card front using dimensionals.  I made the flower, stem, leaves from pieces from the kit and added to the panel.  The layers of the flower are added using dimensionals.  I stamped the greeting using Night of Navy ink on Lucky Limeade, used the Bitty Banner Framelits to cut out and added to the card front using dimensionals.

Blooming with Kindness

Oh…this is such an easy card…the base of the card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 Whisper White.  I ink the flower in Calypso Coral, stamped off, did rock and roll around the edges then some thumping (both with Calypso Coral) to add a little depth to the flower), then the stem in Crumb Cake.  I stamped this on the card front.  I took a think strip of Crumb Cake and added it to a strip Calypso Coral and added to the card front.  I stamped the greeting using Soft Suede on Whisper White, cut into a banner, then added a ‘bow’ (click on the tab above to access the tutorial) using Crumb Cake Seam Binding and a Calypso Coral printed brad.  This was added using dimensionals.  It’s hard to see in the photo but I added some Dazzling Details for a little sparkle to finish it off.

Butterflies

So I saw the clean and simple sketch last week and SOOO wanted to play along but just didn’t have time.  So I decided it would work perfectly along with the color challenge of Night of Navy, Old Olive and Whisper White!  The base of the card is Whisper White.  I took another piece of Whisper White, ran it through the Polka Dotted Embossing Folder and added using dimensionals.  I punched out the larger butterfly in Old Olive, stamped the small one in Night of Navy, cut out and added, then finished it off using a rhinestone.  I added these to the card front.  I stamped the greeting using Old Olive and Night of Navy, cut into a banner, added an Old Olive button using Whisper White Baker’s Twine, than added to the card front using dimensionals.
