Reason to Smile

This is a fun little set (that goes away after today!) but I thought it would be a fun card for us to do.  This really a quick and easy card.   The base of the card is Calypso Coral.  I took a piece of Whisper White and stamped the more solid image using Calypso Coral and the line image using Midnight Muse.  This is layered onto Midnight Muse and then to the card front.  The scallop edge is cut from Midnight Muse using the Large Scallop Edgelit.  I piece of Whisper White 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon is wrapped around the piece then added to the card front.  The greeting is inked with Midnight Muse and Calypso Coral markers, stamped on Whisper White, and cut out using the Apothecary Accents Framelits.  This is added to the card using dimensionals.

Serene Silhouettes

I love simple and classy sketches.  What I like most about them is that you can keep them pretty simple or you can ‘fancy’ them up if your want!  As you can see I decided to keep it pretty simple.  Since I was going for simple I decided to go with a very classy color combo…Red, White, Black…you just can’t beat it!

The base of the card is Real Red.  I took a piece of Whisper White, ran it through the Polka Dotted Embossing Folder then added Finishing Touches Edgelits in Basic Black on each side then added to the card base.  I did the largest Delicate Doily in Real Red and added to the card front.  I stamped the image using Basic Black and Real Red, punched with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch then added using dimensionals.  I stamped the greeting using Basic Black and Real Red, used the Bitty Banners framelits, layered on a Basic Black Banner then added to the card front using dimensionals.

Flowering Flourishes

This set really is perfect for when you want to embellish something and I thought how cute button and brads would work with this flourish.  The base of the card is Whisper White.  I took another panel of Whisper White and stamped the flourish using Wild Wasabi.  I made the flower from the Boho Blossom punch – the largest flower in Marina Mist and the middle flower in Whisper White and the center is a Perfect Plum button tied on with a piece of Whisper White.  These were added using glue dots.  I then added a couple of Perfect Plum brads.  This is then added to card base.  I added ruffles in Perfect Plum, Certainly Celery, and Marina Mist Polka Dotted print and added these to the card front.  I wrapped around a piece of Wild Wasabi 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon.  I stamped the greeting using Perfect Plum, cut into a banner, layered onto a Marina Mist banner then to the card front using dimensionals to finish it off.

Bootiful Occasions

I love the look of ovals on a card and we sooooo need something to cut oval!  But while I’m waiting for that to happen the Apothecary Accents framelit will do fine for giving me my oval fix when I need it.  And oh these boots…sooooooo cute!  I love that with the new stamp pads the ink stays wet just a little longer so you can emboss with it.  I like doing the embossed look on the rain boot!

The base of the card is So Saffron.  I took the fun print from Summer Smooches and added to the card front.  I think took a Island Indigo print strip and added that.  I stamped the boot image using Island Indigo and embossed using Clear Embossing Powder then color with Daffodil Delight.  I cut out with the largest Apothecary Accents framelits then did the tulip strip using the framelit and added to it.  I made a ‘bow’ (<a href=”https://stampercamper.com/cardpost/making_bows”>click here for my tutorial</a>) using Daffodil Delight Seam Binding and a navy brad.  This is added to the card front using dimensionals.  Looking at it again, I think adding some piercing would be a nice touch…just didn’t think of this when I made it!  LOL!!!

Bootiful Occasions

https://stampercamper.com/wp-admin/post-new.phpYou all KNOW how I’m loving the Bootiful Occasions set and it was perfect for today’s sketch.  The base of the card is Crumb Cake.  I took the Midnight Muse Chevron print from Comfort Cafe and added it to the car front.  Next I did an Old Olive Scallop Edge and layered it behind a piece of Natural Cream cardstock and then to the cardfront.  I did a Label Framelit in Crumb Cake and stamped the greeting in Midnight Muse.  I took a piece of Old Olive, cut into a banner, added a Natural Designer Button using Linen Thread then added this panel to the card front using dimensionals.  I stamped the boot using Midnight muse and colored page of it using Soft Suede, cut out and added using dimensionals.

Convention Gifts

I love giving (and receiving) altered notebooks and I thought it would be soooo fun do one for each person using the convention logo.  My Digital Studio makes it sooooo simple to customize something like this so, although there is no stamping…it is still done with the SU exclusive products.  The notebook was a square one (covered in what looks like our Crumb Cake) a while back at Michael’s (and no…they do not have them any more) and I thought it would make the perfect base for the note book.

I picked a color for each person then used coordinating designer papers and ribbons to decorate the notebook.  The button is the new bronze button and the slider is also in the new mini!  I found these cool FLAT jumbo paper clips so made one up to add to the notebook, added dsp to the pen to decorate that and finally made up a luggage tag that we each could add to our convention bags so we could tell them apart!  I have to say I soooooo loved making these!

Set(s): convention logo 2012 – digital
Paper: various
Ink: Early Espresso for sponging
Other: NEW Windows Framelit and Floral Fusion Framelit and then lots of other cool stuff

Serene Silhouettes

I do just love this print…such a cool look!  It really helped to pull the card together quickly.  The base of the card is Pool Party and I added a strip of the cool paper along the bottom.  Next I added a strip of the Pacific Point print.  I made the largest Delicate Doily in Calypso Coral.  I stamped the image using Pacific Point, punched with 2 1/2 Circle Punch, then sponged some Calypso Coral and Pool Party.  I added this t the Doily using dimensionals then to the card front using dimensionals.  I stamped the greeting in Calypso Coral on Whisper White, cut with the Bitty Bitty Die and added to the card using dimensionals.  Finally I added some Basic Rhinestones to finish it off.  Oh so happy!
