Season of Friendship

Today for the CAS challenge on SCS we have a fabulous sketch challenge inspired by Arizona Maine – I LOVE her work!  It’s one of those things again that I couldn’t make just one.  I did do two separate posts so make sure you check out the other one too!

I have to say Season of Friendship is my all around absolutely positively MOST FAVORITE STAMP SET EVER!!!  No…REALLY it is!  It is my ‘go to’ stamp set that works for just so many challenges and you honestly can’t go wrong creating with it!  I wanted to go soft and pretty and springy for this one.  The base of the card is Pink Pirouette.  I took a piece of Whisper White, stamped the tree trunk in Sahara Sand and leaves in Pear Pizzazz.  Some I stamped directly on the tree and others I stamped, cut out and added.  I layered this on another piece of Whisper White using dimensionals and then to the card front.  I stamped the greeting using Basic Grey.  I punched out some of the flowers in Pink Pirouette from the Itty Bitty Punches, curled the edges and added to the tree using glue dots then added the pearl to the center of each flower to finish it off.

Set(s): Season of Friendship
Paper: Whisper White, Pink Pirouette
Ink: Basic Grey, Sahara Sand, Pear Pizzazz
Other: Itty Bitty Flower Punch, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals

Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!

Up, Up and Away

Here’s my 2nd card for the CAS challenge on SCS using Arizona Maine’s sketch.  I wanted to do something a little different and I do love this fun little set!

I played around with this a little bit before settling on this.  Originally I put the balloons on white instead of Pool Party but it just didn’t create the look I wanted.  This, one the other hand, works just wonderfully!  The base of the card is Whisper White, I took a piece of Pool Party and layered it to another piece of Pool Party using dimensionals then layered this on the card base.  I stamped the greeting using Basic Black.  I made the clouds from Whisper White with the Cupcake Punch and then ran it through the Polka Dotted folder and then to the Pool Party panel.  I stamped the balloons in one of my favorite ‘fun go to’ color combos: Pacific Point, Pumpkin Pie, and Real Red with the ‘baskets’ in Basic Black.  I cut these out and added to the Pool Party panel with the Pumpkin Pie on added with Dimensionals.

Set(s): Up, Up and Away, Loved Ones
Paper: Whisper White, Pool Party
Ink: Basic Black, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Pacific Point
Other: Polka Dotted Embossing Folder, Cupcake Punch, Dimensionals

Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!
