Best Friends Forever

Well here it is…my first card for the CAS DT on SCS (don’t you LOVE alphabet soup?).  Our challenge this week is to use monogram.  I decided to go nice and simple but yet a little ‘stepped-up’!

Such a simple card this is but I LOVE how it turned out.  The base of the card is 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 folded (it fits in our open ended envelopes).  I rounded the bottom corners.  Next I stamped the image in Lucky Limeade.  I stamped the heart using Real Red, cut out and added to the card front.  I used the capital M from the Timeless Type Alphabet set in Early Espresso and added to the cardfront using dimensionals.  Finally a couple Basic Rhinestones here and there finished off the card.

So after I had finished my first one (which I LOVE the most!) I had an idea for doing a second card but using a different image for the green one.  So it is still the same size card (6 1/2 x 6 1/2 folded), the corners are still rounded but I did the image to the right side.  It is the heart in the same color as is the initial and then some added rhinestones for the bling.

As you can see from the closeup, it is similar to the first one but the one different image and the placement really does make it look quite different.  Honestly this took maybe 5 mins to make from beginning and end.  Wouldn’t these to card together (and several of each) make a nice little gift for someone?  I think so.  Well…that’s about it for tonight.

Here is the 3rd card I did for the CAS DT call on SCS.  I will have to say…this was my favorite of the three I made!  What I like about this card is that is looks like a tall card but really it is a regular 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 card.

So the final challenge was a color challenge…one of my favorite things to do.  The colors were Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and Sahara Sand (or Creamy Caramel).  Ooooo…how pretty is THAT combo!  Such an easy card.  The base of the card is 3 1/4 x 5 /12 Whisper White.  I ran the bottom of the front of the card through the Stripes Embossing folder.  Next I took a piece of Certainly Celery Polka Dotted dsp, cut into a banner and added to the card front.  I stamped the greeting using Basic Grey on Bashful Blue, cut into a banner and added to the Celery Banner using dimensionals and glue dots.  I stamped the leaf/stem image using Certainly Celery on Whisper White and punched with the Wide Oval Punch.  I punched out three small Bashful Blue flowers using the Itty Bitty punch and added using the Silver Mini Brads.  This is layered onto the the oval frame from the Lots of Tags Sizzlet set in Sahara Sand, added the stamped image then to the card front using dimensionals.
