One of the very talented Stampin' Up! demonstrators goes by the online name of 11Valerie11. She is a truly AMAZING stamper!!! Anyway she recently shared that she starts her day with a 'warm up' card. Her thought is the more you stamp, the more you stamp. We are all so busy, we just don't have the time to sit down everyday and do an amazing "work of he'art'". So if nothing else, she starts her day with a little 'warm-up' card. This helps to keep the creative juices flowing. So I said to myself "WOW" (okay...first thing in the morning I'm NOT a person of many words). So I've decided that for the next week, I'm going to start my day with a warm up card...nothing fancy.

Mini Mates - Hang in There

Now my challenge this morning was to just use things on my desk. Okay...so this was a VERY unfair challenge because I recently had to design a bunch of cards so EVERYTHING was on my desk. First though, I needed to clear a space so I COULD stamp! (No...REALLY!) I was putting away my Mini Mates stamps and thought "well, DANG...those are the PERFECT size for the small tag punch". So I pulled out the cute little hedgehog (that I will miss once he retires) and made myself a little hedgehog tag. Next I used the larger punch and did a piece of Certainly Celery (honestly....this is my most very favorite color in the whole wide world) and a piece of Regal Rose. I layered them and used a silver brad to hold them together and then fanned them out. I had my pack of YUMMY Palette O'Prints designer papers sitting there so I added a little strip. Since I had been using my Light Pink Gingham ribbon on another project that was handy so on it went. The last thing (and I don't think it shows up in the scan) is a little Dazzling Diamonds on the heart. Viola! I cute little 'warm-up' card to get the creative juices going.

Thanks 11Valerie11 for sharing this wonderful idea! -----
